I am a newbie, i was trying to install aliba's gingerbeard rom via rom manager, but i dont know what happenend and just my device stopped working, and hanging on cyanogenmod symbol,
Pls guide me to unbrick, i have read some threads in our XDA itself, i am not so clear from where to start to unbrick,
and i placed some roms in sdcard/update.zip via card reader and used the recovery screen (i knew that recovery is not clockwork mod) but the error is
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
and finally after retry 10 it is showing
E: Can't find /sdcard/update.zip
Installation aborted.
Pls help me to sort out this,

recently i installed CyanogenMod 7 beta 6 on my phone (Motorola defy) and the "fix" for him: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033654
after i finished i can't use my phone anymore, I'm stock in the boot menu (v0.8.0)
and the boot menu not working!
i cant get into the custom recovery option for example its saying :
start custom recovery..
e: error in /system/bootmenu/script/recovery.sh
(result: no such file or directory)
and the same with all options i cant do nothing!
how can i fix it?? can i install android 2.2.1 from pc will the phone like this?

Hello XDA, i have an htc sensation xl
I failed installing a ROM. I was try to get the blackmamba ROM working on my device. My problem is now:
I cant mount the usb storrage, computer makes the sound that he recognized something but doesn't shows the SD storrage.
I can't install zip from sdcard in clockworkmod recovery v5.8.3.1. It says: cant mount /sdcard/update.zip. installation aborted.
I don't know how to uninstal the recovery to do a original factory reset.
I can't do anything with the device!!

I'm using Goophone Y5, but I can't go to Home!
If I turn on my phone, it definitely reboot in some seconds and go to ''Android system recovery <3e> .''
I tried many times to go to Home, but I couldn't !!
And I also tried to install rom from apply update from sdcard menu, but reply is always
-- Install /sdcard . . .
E:signature verification failed
Signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Is anyone in the same situation ??

Hi everyone, i have a problem with ZTE Grand X. My phone wont start so i cant turn it on, just in recovery mode. When i try to install new ROM or CWM for sdcard it says E: Signature verification failed and it aborts installation. Is there any way how i can turn verification off without CWM or how to install CWM with this problem. Thanks

I really appreciate all the help you could do to me ,
I have a problem , that I can't install any custom rom and the error i receive is "E: failed to mount /efs (invalid argument) "
So I tried to flash the stock rom via odin after downloading it from sammobile and it did flash it but it stuck on samsong logo
tried flashing TWRP and installing Cyanogen but with no luck , stuck on cyanogen logo
tried omnirom and Gnabo , and the same problem it stuck on the logo ,
and when i go to the mount section on the custom recovery , "efs" is not mounted and it shows 0mb size
tried CWM and same problem
tried using adb while in CWM but I can't get a shell , it says file not found when using"adb shell" command
I tried re-partitioning using a "pit" from a post (not 100% sure it is for the same region but is said for n8000) and it finished successfully but still with the same problem
any ideas ?
