I'm in USA and want to buy HTC HD2 from Expansys UK for about $715. If Expansys UK will send me HD2 to my USA address, how much (if any) import duty tax will I pay ?
I know that Expansys USA has HD2 also, but price is higher, like $830. That is why I'm checking Expansys UK.
It looks like this phone won't be coming to the UK any time soon, so I've been looking at getting it via other channels.
Obviously there is the lottery system of eBay :silly: but I wanted to know which "official" retailers I can get the best price from. So far:
O2 Germany: €569 (£463)
SFR France: €620 (£505)
Fido Canada: $575 (£376, but not sure if they ship to the UK? Also may be SIM-locked?)
Rogers Canada: $550 (£341, but problems as above)
Amazon Germany: €535 (£435)
Can you guys help me add to this list please? And maybe point me to the best place to buy from

It's announced for the may 15th on Amazon.es.

Expansys USA has Pre-Order for the Exynos (GT-i9500) versions starting at $775 for the 16GB model.

Sweet jesus!.. I thought these new phones start around 599.
Do you have to buy from an "authorized dealer" for Samsung to cover the phone for the warranty?

Samsung doesn't really warranty unlocked phones sold in the U.S. as they aren't really meant for U.S. retail sale.
Your best bet is just buying one outright from your carrier, Best Buy (for their warranty), or putting it on your home owner's insurance policy. You can even buy 3rd party insurance like SquareTrade.

This came up in another thread and my personal thoughts about Expansys is to wait a bit until they get their information about what they will send and when they will send it more correct. They have failed to reply to my Email (over 4 days now) about verifying the exact model #s and capabilities of the S4s they are going to sell. Do what you want, but I'm going to buy from an authorized dealer (AT&T, Best Buys, Radio shack, etc...). There are reputable dealers that use Amazon (and I presume Ebay) but I'm not going to take a chance with this kind of money.
Close to launch day, and still no news about availibility on Amazon!

So if you buy from Bestbuy unlocked phone, the warranty is from Best Buy and not Samsung? I believe this will come from third party companies, much like Best Buy extended warranty.
Now I'm curious, if I buy from Bestbuy using my American Express card, will I get the extended warranty from American Express?

I canceled my order on Amazon and purchased the phone directly from the Samsung Mobile Store in Paris, why should I wait when a physical shop had it available nearby ? Amazon just weren't fast enough to my tastes.

I bought mine from ebay. Bad esn verizon pixel 128gb which cost me 660usd including shipping to south asia country

Yes i did google research and found out bad esn phone can works normal outside USA.
Hi. As you might know, Pixel2 price is 800€ in Germany, while in USA, it is ~550€. I want to ask one of my friends in USA to buy the phone an bring it with him to Germany. Can I use this phone in Germany?
I think if he buys the unlocked version, it should be fine.
