Hello everyone,
I already posted this question on the CM forum but, since it is a general question which can be applied to other rom, I repost this message here.
So, here is my question : I just upgrade from CM 5.0.8 to CM 6.1 on my Magic. I'm currently developping my first application on android to display informations about my prepaid operator (balance, data, ...).
Unfortunatelly, there is no API support for USSD (see code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=1285) and I found a workaround in CM 5.0.8 by reading the log (explained code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=1285#c121 ) but this workaround doesn't work anymore in CM 6.1 because the DBG variable is probably false in phoneutils. I would like to know if there is a solution to force this variable to be true (easily or not ?, setprop or something like that ?)
I thank you by advance for your answer.
Kind regards,
PS: I cannot yet post external links so I put hard links, sorry for the inconvenience !
Nobody has an idea???
Maybe, the rom should be recompiled but I think it is strange because in my previous version of the rom, it worked ...
In order to work, the class com.android.phone.PhoneApp should have his variable DBG_LEVEL at value 2 (default value is 1) ...

Hi all,
After a lot of tries and mix of files... Yesterday I found the right combination between DEFAULT.TXT (posted by SUPERJMN) and ZIMAGE ("polafix" posted by PAIPO).
With this combination I can install Myn's and Vanilij Eclairs.
I had some problems with both builds:
- With Myn's: WIFI NOT WORKS... "Unable to activate Wifi"
- With Vanilj: Everything Works... But I can't install LAUNCHERPRO. After installing, no changes happens on my "home". The application seems running, but i have always the same Home Page without possibility to Add button on left/right of Apps Button.
So:
1) Please can you help me to resolve these problems ?
2) Do you Know other builds working on Pola100, with Wifi/BT working (possibly "out-of the box") ?
Thank you all.
For the Myn's you have to use the wifi/bluetooth update.
If you take a look on this thread you can see all working setup for nand (and which need doesn't need update).
And don't post same questions in every topic you can see!

Hi L1q1d.
Excuse me ... I am sorry if you was angried for my multiple posting, but it's the way to have more visibilty in different section of forum (even if regarding the same questions).
You are great for reply on Myn's Wifi.
What your opinion about "Launcherpro" in Vanilj Build? Why it doesn't install (or install but doesn't run) ?
I am italian too, so i would like to ask you: If i don't disturbe, can i contact you via PM so you can help me to find my solution ?
Thank you and excuse me again !
If you need pm me, but i use NAND install
About the launcherpro..
Tried to push the button on top (on /off at windows mobile)
Had this discussion at VaniljEclair RLS5 thread ;D
I'm a brand new HTC user. I got an HTC Touch 2 (T3333) today for the half the price because the Windows Mobile OS installed is in Dutch; the seller told me that it was impossible to change but I knew for sure that it was. I mean, we are installing Android on toasters nowadays...
So it is possible, as I found out on this board (the "Mega - ROM - Hotfix - User Manual - roll-up thread" topic; I can't post links yet, sorry). I've downloaded the ROM and I'm waiting for rapidshare to allow me to download the manual...
While I wait, could you be so kind to tell me if an Android port was successful on that telephone ? If so, how well it is supported ?
If not, I'm open to any fix and tweaks topics that you can point me out in order to get the maximum out of my new phone. I'm already searching the board but I'm listening...
Thanks !

lol its not my work... its the teams work at Touch2 / Mega section. You can check out my rom that im currently building its WM 6.5.5 os but still in working progress..
Well, thank you for spreading the good news then...
I will dive into the subject tonight.
Hmmm...I tried upgrade with a French ROM but I can't, I get the 294 error. It wasn't that easy. I tried changing the settings in the Systems menu but that didn't work obviously.
Am I missing something here ?
Okay, I'm very sorry : my browser didn't loaded the board well on my first visit and I only discovered the HTC Touch 2 Mega section now.
I will ask my question over there...
Hi,
Since I am a noob and do not have privileges to post on Dev forums, I open this thread here ... not sure it is the right thing to do
First, let me explain what I did before asking questions.
1) I rooted my HTC Desire using Cyanogen procedure
-> Successfully install ClockworkMod recovery + S-OFF
2) I flashed BCM b0.3.6_1 ROM successfully
Results :
So far, the ROM is working pretty fine (great job ! .. so cool to have ICS on my HTC desire ). However, I noticed that Gmail was not there and I had to install it manually (downloaded apk here if it can help some ... oups not allowed yet ... can I give this link in the post ?). After that, mail synchronization is ok. I had also the isssue related to Google calendar synchronization and it took me some time to realize that you have to follow the procedure that is following the fix link (sorry but not allowed to post links yet)
Note about the procedure : Since I do not have exchange account, I did it with anoter gmail account and it works fine.
For now, I did not find any major issues but still looking
Now, I have two questions :
1) Is there a way to disable haptic feedback ?
2) Once I got calendar sync fixed, I had to enable lockscreen PIN security. Is there a way to disable that ... it seems to be something that admin privileges.
I know that this ROM is still under development so sorry in advance if my questions are stupid.
Thanks for helping
Hi,
I just observed trying to use the camera that it crashes after taking one or two pictures.
I thought that the camera was stable on this release. It does not look like.
Step to reproduce :
1) Just launch camera
2) Take one or tw o pictures
Results :
Camera application crashes and apex viewer/launcher too. The only thing to do is to reboot. Taken pictures are recorded on SD.
Can anyone tell me if he has seen the same issue ?
Thx
My mistake, I just checked on the main thread for this rom and have seen that it is clearly mentionned that camera is still unstable ...
Hello everyone,
I recently posted on the forum a call for help that has not received a real answer ... and I'm still looking after a real answer ... ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/help-how-to-3-reboot-marshmallow-stock-t3246578 )
After various research I realized that the file android.policy.jar had completely disappeared from the new version of Android : Android Marshmallow
I am convinced that its functions must be found somewhere, but I really don't know where.
So, impossible for me to make my "3-way Reboot" on my Nexus 5.
I'm almost certain, in view of many topics on how to make reboot options, as people here have an answer to that, that's why I allow myself to insist and to open another topic on this issue ... but where is android.policy.jar ???
Does anyone have the answer here is what anyone would want to answer me please? :good:
Thank you in advance for all those who will contribute their knowledge on the subject

Webview-Implementation:

Disabled for user: Android System Webview

Hello everyone
I am a little desperate and need your help ...
For some time now I have been getting an entry (see attached pictures) on my Note 9 (not rooted) under Settings / Device maintenance / Storage / Cleanup ... that scares me a little.
I had the Chinese characters translated. Its meaning is probably "System Enhancer".
The software model name might be "Tasker" (but they are not sure).
I searched the internet for information but found nothing.
The Note 9 runs with Android 8.1.0, Samsung Experience Version is 9.5 and Knox is 3.2.
It would be great if someone could help me.
Greetings mtc
