Kernel for use with extended battery

I was wondering if it takes a special kernel to use an extended battery. I have my Evo flashed to CricKet and am using Jiminy IV for the rom, I bought a generic 3500ma battery and cant get it to charge. It is a brand new battery. My phone is rooted and nand unlocked. Anyone have any ideas ir suggestions?
Thanks
Sent from my Evo using XDA App
As far as I know there is no special kernel needed. You sure the cord is good? If so try rebooting and see if that does the trick. If not battery may not be good

Try this one. It's what I use.

My cord is fine. It works great with my stock battery.
As far as that link, it took me to a forum but not to a post or kernel.

Holy crap... seriously man?
I know you dont have any post besides this so ill be gentle
BUT
This is the development forum. Any and akk questions should go in the Q/A section. I know what your thinking already " well, this is a question for a DEVELOPER" or "this is a question ABOUT DEVELOPMENT" and unfortunately your logic is flawed.
Before for you post in the development forum, just ask yourself these questions. "What did i develop?" "What work am i sharing with the community?" If you cant answer those than you are in the wrong place and this place is generally pretty brutal about this subject.
Apparently I am missing something. Sorry for my ignorance

Ok I'll be nice this time. You select Galaxy S 4G or whatever they call it once Krylon gets it working and approved by Koush.
Now close the thread. And LISTEN TO CHADSTER AND READ BEFORE POSTING A NEW THREAD OR YOU CAN GET TEMP BANNED!
**** thread lock and ban
......lulz
Can we keep at least on cwm thread open?
This open and closing of CWM threads every other day is getting annoying. Kindda like wack-a-mole.
At least in keeping it open, there is one thread for people to ignore if they are annoyed by it.
How about a CWM thread when it actually gets released?
I don't see enough brain power here (including myself) to actually discuss something productive regarding CWM in its own thread prior to the release.
Hurry up and wait.

I agree. People keep opening up threads concerning on stuff that isn't currently working on our phones. Like Vibrant Roms and CWM. If they are ready to use. They would have been posted up already by the DEV or their Team.

imo just take a look at the threads and see whos really active in the forum and shoot them a PM. that would have solved the problem and to keep things like this from happening.
I would think that people will help a little more if the questions were asked through pm. Well, at least I know I would help. wishful thinking.
Now lets move on. Mods will close this thread and we can move forward.

It probably has to do with some of the Sprint bloat that's taking up space on your phone. Once you root, you can download a ROM like StockPlus if you want to keep stock look but get rid of most Sprint apps. If you want a more custom Froyo ROM, Urban Fury 2.0 and ACS 1.2 are good choices in my opinion. Guys, check the OP's post count before you flame him for posting in the wrong section. Maybe he doesn't know any better. EDIT...ignore me. OP was changed while I was typing this...

That doesn't matter or justify it. You might be right, you might be wrong, but what if everybody did that? The dev section would be over-cluttered with non dev stuff, and nobody wants that. If you reaaaaaaaally want to post a question in the dev section post it in the stickied Q&A thread, dont make a new one

Stupid posts get sarcasm. Its not like I don't answer your questions.
And like I said, ask the person who told you. The person who leaked the ICS market and everything else ICS releated (wallpapers, boot animation, music, google+) is this person..............
