[Q] Captivate unlocking (Eclair to Froyo) - Captivate General

Hi guys,
I have an unlocked Rogers captivate (eclair) and want to do the OTA update or even a Froyo ROM, and I want to know if the phone will get sim locked again?

[Q] How can I upgrade my i5801 t0 2.2 from US

Hi,My phone is a unlocked Apollo i5801. I can't get 2.2 updated from US ( using newest Kies ) My carrier is AT&T.
Are there any newest rooting tool or easier way to get the Froyo 2.2?
I am new to Android OS also new to this forum.
Second question is: Can Apollo i5801 upgrade to 2.3 directly without getting 2.2 first? Is it possible?
I will be appreciated if any one can help me out.

[Q] Upgrade to Gingerbread or wait for Unlock on Froyo???

Hi Guys,
I've got a Galaxy Gio S5660 with Froyo 2.2.1 and its network locked to 3Hutch europe. Recently samasung announced to update to Gingerbread 2.3. But i need some serious advice weather to upgrade to 2.3 or wait until someone comes up with some method to find the unlock key on froyo.
I'm really stuck with this network lock and i hate it

[Q] Updating a Rooted Captivate 2.1

Hi and sorry if this have been answered somewhere else. I rooted my captivate some time back to 2.1. Now I'd like to update to the most recent (hopefully gingerbread) version. Do i need to unroot first ? Do i need to update to some other version first ? and where can I get the update and directions

[Q] Flash ROM w/ Locked bootloader

Is it possible to Flash a new ROM on my Atrix (OTA 2.3.4) without unlocking the bootloader? The amount of knowledge here is overwhelming!

So quick question here, I recently rooted and unlocked my I'm, I am currently on froyo 2.2, will upgrading it to the new gingerbread or even darkys unroot or re lock the phone?
