- New apps2ext method, much cleaner and friendlier (you don't need a ext partition)
- Firstboot.sh removed

- Kernel extractor removed. This is using pershoot's kernel and the source can be viewed here: http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/
- New Market added, will try and post a pic of it soon, it's blue themed
- Speeded up boot time, and overall performance is faster and more stable

SparksMod 2.0 Changelog
This rom was made specificly to be used with Rom Manager and Clockworkmod Recovery by Koush
-Apps:
Gapps to rom, but they install seperately from the rom itself to ensure a clean installation. No need to flash more than one thing
Zeam Launcher + Go Launcher, the GB Launcher seemed to be having some memory leaks, feel free it try other launchers from the market if you experience any lag issues over time
Rom Manager. You can use rom manager
Updated apps, android term, GB Keyboard, others, all free apps of course
-OpenGLES
I added a newer version to the rom to increase performance. I found it on this thread: http://www.xda-developers.com/androi...1-on-htc-hero/
-Wipe System to the rom
I added erase_image to the rom as a tool to wipe only the system partition before installing the rom itself. You will still need to select backup current rom and wipe data and cache with rom manager!

Just don't partition the sdcard, then u can use the built in froyo apps2sd.
EDIT: you might come across some problems with out a partition, basically the launchers and a couple apps are installed on apps2ext on boot, so I highly recommend you make a partition , or else you'll be missing some key apps. If you don't want to use app2ext after wards then go to terminal app type:
Su
sh /system/etc/fr-patch141-BETA.txt apps2sd
Then you should get option to move all data/data apps to SD say no, then if you will get option to move apps to actual native apps2sd and say yes.
OR you can just use apps2ext so u don't have to do all that, and apps2ext is faster.
It is 32A,i hav flashed the rom, pretty cool, however i dont know why the home key havent any reaction when i pressed。
the home key doesnt work?

It does work actually haha, go into cyanogenmod settings OR spare parts, I can't remember off the top of my head actually but yeah there should be the option for what you want the home button to do, for me its return to default home screen, same goes for the end

Hi!
I don't quite know how to start ;o) so...
This ROM is compiled from CyanogenMod 6, AOSP, Ezterry's and mine source code repositories . This ROM is not repackaged, moded, ripped, stripped, whatever version of any other ROM available on the Net.
Overview:
- 2.6.36.4 kernel from @Ezterry
- Native Apps2SdExt (also called Magpie) with Effdee fix (this also contains fix to pm/pm.jar used by f.ex. Titanium Backup when restoring app)
- xVold - mounts SdExt partition (if it exists) with data 2 SdExt
- Poor man SetCPU (as known from f.ex. Froyo by Laszlo) with safety valve logic by @hrk (CPU OC settings are not restored when phone crashes; you can safely try to push your CPU to the limit)
- CA Certs without compromised Diginotar keys
- CACertManager from Guardian Project
- long click on PowerWidget icon launches Settings (backport of CM7 feature)
- black bar theme (most of gfx were taken from @Sisterchick's themes but if you see your gfx used please let me know so I can give proper credits)
- uses AnyKernel so should boot on 2708/EBI0/EBI1 devices (tested only on 2708)
- stock Froyo Launcher (aka Launcher2)
- can use Swap or Compcache (both disabled by default and I don't really see the point of using any of them)
- no Gapps
2011.10.06 updates:
- Firerat's cache management ;o) script in /etc/init.d (https://gist.github.com/1182265)
- updated APN list
- Superuser 3.0 (upgradable via Market; please consider buying Elite version to show @ChainsDD some support)
Backports from CM7:
- RotaryRevamped, Lense and Ring lockscreen styles (Phone ui follows lockscreen style)
- Battery percentage on Lockscreen
- Restrict system packages to protected storage (this is security fix)
2011.10.13 updates:
- fixed bug in Phone app that caused crash when dpi setting were anything but 160
- fixed bug in Phone app that caused on screen Accept/Decline buttons not always show up
- Compcache/Swap is working again (note that activating/deactivating need reboot)
- Camera app with DCIM patch courtesy of @hrk
Known bugs/misfeatures:
The ROM runs perfectly OK without Ext partition. Only drawback is requester that pops up informing about unmountable SD card. What it's not telling is that only Ext partition is unmountable
No DCIM patch in Camera app this time (patch is against GB sources and I had no time to fix this; It's not hard just need time =o( This patch will make it into next release, sorry.
Apps2SdExt in this ROM is implemented at framework (system) level. Please do not use any scripts/apps that deal with applications installed on SdExt. Each and every application can be moved to and from SdExt using "Manage applications" under Settings. At some point in time I might add way to mass-move applications between SdExt, Internal and SdFat storages.

First install instruction:
1. Boot into Recovery
2. Make a backup.
3. Wipe all and everything (including SdExt)
4. Flash zip
5. Flash GApps
6. Reboot
Installing updates:
1. Boot into Recovery
2. Make a backup
3. Flash zip
4. Reboot
(I do my best so that all updates are of no-wipe type)
On first boot give the Dream some 10 - 20 minutes to settle.
Enjoy the ROM =o)
Credits:
CyanogenMod Team - this ROM wouldn't exist without them and I'd be stuck on Dounts =o)
Firerat - without him I'd never dig that deep in the Android code
Ezterry - always helpful and all that excelent work on kernels and GB for D/S
Sisterchick - your themes are great (hope you don't mind taking some gfx from them)
hrk - always helpful and skilled coder
And special thanks to all those who made Android the way it is now =o)
Sounds good! Will try it someday if i have spare time
I'll try it, will download when I have a chance.

I used CyanogenMod 6 MDPI 20110501 from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version#Google_Apps
I think that is the newest gapps pack for 2.2 Dream. Market is updating to 3.1.5 after first market open.
EDIT:
Anyone has a problem with random restarts?
I'm looking for a Stable ROM for my Brother, he's taking control of my OG G1 I like the settings back port. Nice touch, I'll check it out when my phone isn't needed.
thanks for this new modded cyanogen rom.flashed, booted and running normal.
love the honesty of it too, Nameless Froyo, laughed a lilwhen I saw the boot screen xD
OKKIE! D/L and flashed last night. Looking good at first glance. I love it.
Niceee! on the move apps to SDExt/SDCard options. Now I get to move everything to SDExt.
59MB Internal spaces free? WOW! I am loving this , still got that and more even after about 5 - 6 apps installed. Usually I ran out of room by now and had to decide which apps I want to keep.
GGRRRR! Just got my first reboot (just now). I hate when that happens. Got to figure out why it does that.....
Wifi, Bluetooth works well.
Network connection even works in the building at my office. (cool) I get a constant signal finally (well not it about 85% stable)
Overall the system seem to run pretty fast, we'll see how it deal with my usage...
Battery life with wifi on, and used not so good. But I guess that's how it is. I am used to constantly keeping it charged up anyway, so no worry there for me.
just started getting reboots. 3 in last 15 minutes.must find problem.
ok' ran this thing all day at work with no more reboots. don't know why they just stopped.lol

WOW! Did you ever got to the lock screen at all?
What SPL/radio do you have?
---------- Post added at 11:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:38 AM ----------
WOOHOOO! With thinning out the apps that I don't need, my internal spaces went up to 66MB, with 9 apps extra apps already installed.
Still running as fast as the first boot up. So far so good.
All those that have probs with random reboots pleas try flashing kernel from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14768272&postcount=2427
Theoretically they are the same (same sources were used) but Ezterry uses GB toolchain to compile and that might be the diff.
@Eutherin well you could as well hook G1 to some usb cable and grab logcat for me, right?
If you want to report a bug/bootloop/etc at least try to grab a logcat. This will help solve probs.

Quick installation defaults - Sidekick KD1 modem, AntonX's Basic with a twist 1beta3 kernel, Hebrew Valhalla logo on boot, Hebrew dialer and Hebrew Google maps.
All these are simply changeable through customized installation.
Kernel -
AntonX's Basic with a twist 1beta3 kernel is the most stable and reliable kernel for our device and it's ideal for the common user.
If you are a heavy user/gamer or you want to extend your battery life, you may choose to install AntonX's Basic with a twist 1.1.0 OC/UV kernel.
With it you can overclock or undervolt your device - see "voltage control" below for a recommended configuration.
Adrenaline Shot V14.1 + V15 mixmatch
Took Adrenaline shot V15, added 02journaling and 04sysctltweaks from Adrenaline shot V14.1.
This constelation gave us the best results.
Special note - 04sysctltweaks script is handling with cpu governor and scaling, so if you choose OC/UV kernel on customized installation - it will get deleted to avoid collisions.
If you chose the regular kernel and decided to switch to OC/UV kernel to OC/UV - make sure you delete this script via root explorer or similar prior to OC/UV.
Voodoo and DSP
both mods are allowing you to enhance your audio experience.
'DSP Manager' is a system app already installed.
'Voodoo Sound' is located in the bonus apps and needs to be installed.
Recommended configuration :
Tune In radio - Set DSP Headset EQ as Enabled and on Acoustic, set Voodoo Sound volume limit +2db , Bass boost on, 5db gain.
Stock music player - Set 'Dance' EQ and 'Music Clarity' effect in stock music player, set Voodoo Sound volume limit +2db , Bass boost on, 5db gain.
Voltage Control
If you use the OC/UV kernel, you should use this app to control your overclocking\undervolting definitions.
install it from the bonus apps folder.
Recommended configuration - First page : sio scheduler, smartassV2 governer, 100-1100. Second page : Undervolt all voltages by 25mV.
With this configuration you will get extended battery life, slightly better performance and negligible heating.
BacklLight Notification Control
Use this if you want the backlight buttons to flash as messages notifications.
Installation is located in the bonus apps folder.
Visidon Applock Best face unlock app in the market.
Installation is located in the bonus apps folder.
Set it to lock your launcher and teach it your face for 3-5 shots. It works pretty good.
It comes with a defined numeric combination as an alternative.
Please note it takes up to 10MB RAM, so don't leave it active while playing heavy games...
SD MAID
Installation is located in the bonus apps folder.
Comes with a set of tools, something like CCleaner or Regedit in Windows.
Good to maintain the healthiness of your device once in a while.
My StreetView - An external Google Street View browser.

Announcements
We decided this ROM will go FINAL in July 2012.
By then I'm planning to release both HebMIUI and HebSlim.
Please inform us of any problems that you are running through.
Non Hebrew speakers can use this ROM as pure English as long as they :
1. Keep (Default) English locality.
2. Uninstall PortalPhone, Hebrew Calendar, Debrew-It, (ID3 Fixer).
3. Replace Hebrew bootanimation (system\media\bootanimation.zip) with this stock ICS bootanimation.
4. Replace Hebrew dialer (system\Dialertabactivity.apk) and Google Maps (system\Maps.apk) - can be taken from Valhalla Final ROM or Lumin30's 2.3.6 APK repository and replaced with RootExplorer.
5. Other debloated system apps can be taken from Valhalla Final ROM or Lumin30's 2.3.6 APK repository and replaced with RootExplorer.
6. Don't forget to fix permissions in CWM afterwards.
Blue note - these steps can be done through custom installation since version 3.3.

Thank you guys for the relentless and great work. Off to flash the rom :O)
While I am unable to read Hebrew, I have seen tons of thread related to getting it working properly on the SGS4G, so excellent work both of you! Its always great to see our wonderful phone get another ROM to add to the already fantastic collection.
I do have one question was there an issue with bhundven's KJ6 kernel and the Hebrew modifications done to your ROM? Is that the reason why you included drhonk's KJ1? Or is it performance related?

Thanks Guys! i was looking forward for a version for my T959V
Hi Fish72, long time no see.
It thrills us to see we can contribute to you, after all the explanations and guides you've given to the Hebrew SGS 4G community.
Your Froyo redux and GB Valhalla 1.2 guides have become the only Israeli SGS 4G place to go and get it figured out.
Hopefully this ROM will ease our lives, and i couldn't have made it without Alon, (who unlike me is an actual developer) and jumped into this project with no hesitation spending this significant time and effort.
Awesome. Glad to see you guys got it all figured out .
Great work guys! It's great to see all your hard work pay off! Grats!

Is this changeable back to English via Settings-> locale and text? or is it just in hebrew. I am wondering because if it is configurable, I will add support to AOSPStyle.
---------- Post added at 05:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:19 AM ----------
Also, How does "Hebfix" work, because if it changes english to RTL, then I won't port it.
Thanks for all the greeters!

Hi Airfluip!
I tried your suggested method for resources swapping, but something didn't work there. On next version we will look deeper into it.
Regarding your question, all system apps were just added values-iw, xml-iw and raw-iw in the resources.
You can try it with your method. It doesn't affect if you have English locale selected.
Regarding the framework, i think it ran over another locale (i see it between French and Italian).
No problem to choose English instead.
Please don't forget we also replaced some fonts and libs for the right to left support.
If you want we will share with you all our resources.

Cool, as I said before, if you know what is going on with the new kernel and can provide more details that it is a problem with my cwm cruft, I'll be very happy to fix it for ya.
Sorry, Bryan, I don't speak American...
Hei, this are some ROMs im putting together. The builds are compiled from AOSP, CM and Evervolv sources.
COS-Bravo-JB
I have been playing around with Jellybean a bit and i figured i trough out a early build, based on Evervolv in most regards.
This build has the gapps included, the apk's and ogg's are optimized bloatware's are gone.
ALPHA BUILDS:
Recommended hboot my JB with 210 MB on System, 5 mb cache, 220ish userdata
(you can use any hboot which has at least 210 mb on system but you might lose a lot of space on the other options be it cause you have a much bigger system partition or cause you have a big cache partion)
Jelly hboot R3 - Download
MD5: f5b912f12e5cd712c5aa8fe8eeaf56ac
(md5 apply's to the .img not the zip)
Alpha:
Alpha #1 - Download
MD5: 25883cf980f045bb64ffa4efad0e8694
Gapps - Download
MD5: 436f2ae91b9a01814bc133c7657c31b6
* This gapps pack will only work on this ROM, also you won't be able to fit another Gapps pack (which has everything like Google Now and google ears) in the 210 MB /system partition, except this. The gapps libs in this pack are in a compressed folder (lzo compression - used a lighter compression since this might lag the system a bit) and the srec/en_US in another compressed folder (XZ compression - this is a much better compression but eats more CPU, hopefully wont be notiable)
A2sdext ?: in the terminal(su first) or adb shell run a2sd install
Changes:
11-Aug-2012
Made it all fit in 210 MB, from 250 , It only includes en_US language/local, Camera can take photos, youtube plays (its hacky still, but is something), removed Gallery2 for now since its linked with the new Camera which we can't use at this point and added the basic 2D Gallery.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TEST BUILDS:
I suggest testers, AKA bored ppl to use my Jelly hboot (250/5/182 Mb partition layout)
Download hboot
MD5: f58a590b17b51c881000938d634cd6c9 (the check applys to the img not the zip)
In any case you need a system partition of at least 250 MB
The Rom:
Test #5
MD5: 8d61bae21398d7a0e3bc417f27c09666
Back to BFQ as default I/O scheduler, added the EV stuff they merged
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Test #4
MD5: 9f7a3e104d37d4a9cec3bda29be5278f
Changes:
a few I/O tweaks(noatime to userdata, non rotational for mtd, noop default mmc/mtd scheduler, mmc readahead 1024, zram/ksm enabled on start, kernel: added FudgeSwap also a minfree_stat read only interface @/sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree_stat (thanks to EzTerry for this tweaks), a few changes to the kernel CGROUPS, enabled NAMESPACES - laptop mode enabled in the ramdisk(suppose to help with battery) & a inital fudge swap value (/sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/fugeswap) looks smooth so far.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Test #3
MD5:ef7ed599b0454771761da803a4c5cde7
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Test #2
MD5: a8ee95b5d1d9a66c2397bc1a8e4ec66e
Fixed GoogleEars, updated Gmail, updated Andreo drivers to the early Jellybean release from Qcom.

Test #1

To enable a2sdext (save goes for dalvik to sdext or data to sdext) use adb shell or a terminal : a2sd install
many things do not work, like Camera at all, video playback...HWA works okish.
once more things are fixed i will of course COS it well, as usual, no ETA's though
COS-Bravo-ICS: This is to considered a BETA Rom for now
git://github.com/roalex/android.git -b ics
Project HOME - BUG tracker
Requirements:
180 MB system partition - Alpharev hboot data++
SDEXT partition, formated as EXT4 (around 1 GB is fine ) for A2sdext
Features:
OS: Android 4.0.4_r2
OpenGL HWA Enabled**
Kernel: Based on drewis's kernel sources
This ROM is ODEXed and still is around 170 MB - which means you don't need a sd-ext unless you have massive needs.
Apps to Sdext, Data to Sdext, Dalvik-cache to Sdext are supported - Settings/Performance/A2sd
**This is still a bit buggy and the Camera Panorma and the Camcorder are still SLOW, still seams ok all in all.
Video recording ALSO works with the Market app Camera/Videocam ilusion
Tips:
FM radio does work with Spirint FM (enable BT before opening the app, select region, audio > QSD8250)

Changed a prop setup, windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec from 120 to 100, 120 wasn't quite there.
COS-Bravo-Gb : git://github.com/roalex/android.git -b Cos-Gb
Requirements:
100 MB Hboot needed - Alpharev OxyR2 HBoot
SDEXT if you want apps2sdext (it's not a must)
Features:
Os: Android 2.3.7, heavily based on the current CM tree
Kernel: 2.6.38 customized kernel - Tiamat source tree
Apps2SdExt integrated into the frameworks, from Firerat's|EzTerry github sources
Various optimizations (check my sources on github for specifics)
Bloatware free
Gapps are included
You will find the usual CM 7.2 toys, added KSM support for the settings and kernel has KSM and ZRAM support, as well as squashfs, default scheduler BFQ.
Tips:
To enable Apps2Sdext and/or Data2SdExt visit Settings|Applications|Development.
To set the default installation partition go to Settings|Applications.
To move applications from sd-ext|sdcard|internal Settings|Applications|Manage Applications.
There is no Dalvik2SdExt because .dex will follow the location of the apk, so if you install an application on sd-ext the dex will be on sd-ext, the same applys for internal or sdcard.
Do not use A2sd scripts.

All thanks should go to Firerat, this has been around for more then a year, for some reason people didn't push it on their AOSP ROMs.
Wiah, really nice job! I'm gonna test the ROM when I have time, but could you post the kernel to download it separately? I'd like to test it in MIUI, as Tiamat's one was very fast but had some problems with multitasking.

Im not sure which Lock sound you are speaking of but if you talk about MUTING Camera Shutter and Focus they are, look under Sounds in COS settings.
Sorry for confusing. I mean screen lock sound. There should be a sound when you lock or unlock the screen. I think it missing the lock sound file in the system ui folder

it works with a hboot "= " or ">" then OxyR2 (100 MB system). Using cm7r2 hboot you lose 45 MB you could have on internal.
for cm7r2 it stuck on joker logo and with oxygen it always rebooting and rom doesn`t load!! what should i do??
Hi, I'm going to try both ROMs (ICS & GB); I've flashed the ICS one, but i dunno what HBOOT i can use, I'm currently on DATA++ but i'm guessing if it works on cm7r2 too.
Gotta love the CM7 on Oxy hboot
Good job!

12.08.2012 - Fixed mobile data, added initial value for keypad type, support for GB kernel.
19.08.2012 - Common builds for Froyo and GB kernels (verified on UK Froyo and CH GB), keylayouts from alexc804's CM9. CM team implemented some more Trebuchet settings.
22.08.2012 - Fix bootmenu overclock, fix compass, CM10 bootanimation, reduced heapsize, drop support for Froyo kernels, clean up proprietary files.
23.08.2012 - OTA updates via otaupdatecenter.pro app
25.08.2012 - Preserve baseband during updates, fix crashing Hostapd (thx stargo!), plug OTA updater into Settings->Additional system updates
28.08.2012 - Fixed audio in car dock (thx to Nadlabak)
29.08.2012 - Fixed WiFi tethering (thx to stargo)
30.08.2012 - Fixed WiFi channels > 12
01.09.2012 - Use native JB keyboard layout switching (Settings -> Language & input -> Physical keyboard). Added battd compatibility for Froyo kernels (I still recommend using GB kernels as the only supported ones).
03.09.2012 - Fixed audio in video recording, stereo audio enabled, decreased FPS in video preview (Quarx2k)
04.09.2012 - Fixed compass, improved video perfomance (nadlabak), updated SGX libs (Quarx2k), fixes for qwertz layout

23.09.2012 - Corrected superuser, added hebrew (thx to Skyfox1) and polish keyboard layouts
29.09.2012 - Fixed portuguese time format (thx to Snowraptor)
09.10.2012 - Custom kernel (thx to Czechop) - consider this build as unstable/experimental. Boot reason is broken - OTA update won't boot into recovery, you need to enter recovery manually (volume down while booting).
13.10.2012 - Android 4.1.2, CRT animation, live wallpapers (2nd-init build)
27.10.2012 - Fix boot reason, fix charge only mode, fix low performance after boot, kernel optimizations, JB interactive governor, power hal (need interactive governor to work properly), fix overclock (thx to SkrilaxCZ, Nadlabak and Quarx2k)

10.11.2012 - Fixes for 2ndboot, 10MB more of free RAM (thx to Nadlabak)

Hints & issues
lgCamera works better with video recording
Currently wipe data and cache in OTA updater does not work
CM10 does not contain Car home, you need to install it manually (search for google car home)
Installation guide for stock roms users
1) Root your phone (you may use SuperOneClick root method)
2) Install Droid2 Bootstrap Recovery
3) Open Droid2 Bootstrap Recovery and tap "Bootstrap Recovery", then "Reboot Recovery" granting root privileges. The phone should reboot into recovery. Use volume buttons to navigate, camera button to accept, power button to go back. You will install files by selecting "Install zip from sdcard".
4) Optionally: create a backup of your data
5) Install latest CM ROM image file.
6) Optionally: install Google Apps
7) Select "Wipe data/factory reset"
8) Reboot and enjoy
9) Optionally: select baseband version corresponding to your country and BPSW version
Installation guide for CMx roms users
1) Optionally: create a backup of your data
2) Install latest CM ROM image file.
3) Optionally: install Google Apps
4) Wipe data and cache partition
5) Reboot and enjoy
6) Optionally: select baseband version corresponding to your country and BPSW version
Installing updates
The most convenient way of installing updates is through built-in OTA updater. Note that currently wipe options do not work there, so you may need to do it manually in recovery. For most cases that won't be necessary though.

If you have CH version, you may give it a try. Install my CM7 first and then CM10 and gapps. It should work in theory, but I don't have a clue if gapps are upgradable between these versions. Do a nandroid backup first if anything goes wrong
Thank you very much Tezet! You brought life back again to out Milestones 2!
I want to try it but Gapps web isn't working for me at the moment. Seems ive got to use the gapps for jb 20120726. I aren't that old.
so Tezet comes back with a bang!!
Waiting for the GB kernel based release.

Tezet, is project butter working?
I cannot get signal. Installed MS2 baseband and choosed mine (live in Argentina) but no result!
Is it supposed to go with european or chinese kernel?
I completely lost mobile network signal and cannot restore it even after following the guidelines in here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182050
any help would be welcome please

None of them. Any Froyo kernel should be fine, I use it with UK Froyo kernel (the one from CM7 build).

I haven't looked deeply into it, but I suppose it is.
If someone figures out how to gain signal, i would appreciate it! I cannot get it to work :S
Just updated and tested it for a bit... it is really smooth =)
Everything worked fine... except gsm =/, but probably because I have the wrong kernel? I come from sfc3001 cm9 (CM9-NIGHTLY-120721-milestone2-ch.zip).
Im going back to my backup from cm9 until I'm able to use the phone as a phone on cm10.
But that was a awesome job =) :good:
