it is safe, root and clockwork mod recovery are still working and you can go back if you want. oh, and it has french language. is not totally deblured, but part of the motoblur **** have been deleted.
Is there a way to flash this rom using a linux PC?

What parts of blur is still left? Well as long as all of blur's social networking stuff is gone it's good, the launcher will be replaced with L-Pro, ADW or Zeam anyway
does the contacts app still have the social friendfeed update "tab" part?

basically, the social networking stuff has been removed, and instead there are facebook and myspace apk´s, which can easily be removed with root explorer. the contacts apk is still on (i think it is useful) and i don´t see any friendfeed tab on it.
in the thread posted above, i explained other differences. now i have also noticed that the google googles application, which used to crash on 2.21, doesn´t crash on 2.34.1 anymore.
the blur launcher is still here (what a bummer), but if you delete all the widgets and use, for example, launcher pro, there´s still 250 mb of free ram (taskiller dixit)
I just flashed it over 2.21. It definitely feels snappier and I'm happy that after flashing I still have all my settings preserved.
Btw., 'System updates' isn't working for me. I get "Checking for updates is currently not available. Try again later" message.

That's weird. I just flashed my Defy with this firmware and all works fine. But when it rebooted, all my settings, apps, wallpapers, everything still there.
In this version almost motoblur crap was removed. My Defy is running very fast now.
If someone posts a system/app + framework dump ill deodex it and create a jit package

This release has a changed contactas manager, no social interaction.
It does feel snappier, it is still has some basic blur services, but you now only need a google account to use the phone.

Downloaded and flashed this rom.
After 2 minutes "looking", I found a major problem:
I run the "Network Wizard", selected "Nederland, T-Mobile", and an error about the database showed up.
Now I can't configure any connection, so no GPRS to configure.
2 other thing I noticed:
1] Windows Live Messenger is still in WWE ?
2] No Office apps ?
The rest seems to be oke, but without a connection, there's not much fun with my Wizard.

This isn't the only Dutch TNT (1437) based ROM!

I use the original (English) so I can't tell you anything about this ROM. Since I can't find any replies about a 'GPRS problem' I guess this ROM is OK.

I think the main problem by useing the Microwave tool is it only copies the MUI's and doesn't edit the rgu's, cpl's, exe etc.. to work with the language. But if it was there before I started my translation it had saved me a lot of work.

yes i believe that but i have flashed your rom and ik works really fine accept on one thing and thats wan you tried to use the keypad when your calling it doe sent work but for the rest is a good rom

Saving my work was the main goal of the microwave. Your words means that it would be really useful if completed and this is enough for me to go on with it. If you wish to share any knowledge about the translation topic, I would be glad to improve the Muiver for the community

The normal APP2SD problem -.-u must use MountUSB Widget to mount your sdcard as harddrive ;-) Thats the only problem i know.

So, i try your rom right now, and the first feelings are good. Moving between the screens is very smooth and in the main menu self. A other bit plus is that you have the option to switch between diferent keyboard types. Two things, in the main menu you have to navi and maps icons, one from it is whit red capitals, BRUT.. so im didnt know what you mean whit it? and the other input, when you go to the third screen to the left side, you see a line on the left side from the display.. the other things are fine right now for me.. i think a standard e-mail app would be greate, so you can sync whit ms exchange.. whit a free usb switch from the market, the mounting from the sd card as a external drive on the pc works fine.. ,)

MIUI team has just officially released version 1.1.14 dedicate for Desire HD, no more porting from other platform needed. And it supports English, though the screenshot is in Chinese.

MIUI ROM version 1.2.25 for Desire HD
update: You can find the partial English UI setting instructions here.
But after setting the locale, most of the UI is remaining in Chinese. Need a developer to change the language file to English. The download link for ROM package is listed above.
How to flash
--------------------------------------------
1. Make sure your HBoot is already S-OFF.
2. Have clockwork recovery installed.
3. Copy the zip file to SD card and flash.
Please do a data wipe and cache wipe before flash the zip file. The whole process takes about 5 minutes and after the first Hboot screen, it loads to MIUI themed splash screen quickly.

Data connection works for me. Wifi works too. And lot of chinese is managable too untill an en version is released.

The google one are really creepy (not respond well with italian for example, they are optimized fr english), also they not work with carkit, and this one are OFFLINE
After you install this, is there a menu icon for it or it just improves the functionality of the voice dialer and voice search from Google? Because I couldn't find it in the app drawer...

Try reflashing the ZIP and clear dalvik and cache!

Actually it was there, I just couldn't find it. Since my Milestone is in portuguese it is called "Commandos de voz" (green phone icon). But it is showing up in english. How do I change the language? I've tried going into the settings but there's no option. Shouldn't it match the system language?
probably not, I've ripped it from APAC leak and probably it does not support portoguese "icon"

There is no Portuguese, so just english for us....a shame...but in english work very well, too bad that my accent is terrible ;P

Exactly, the icon name is actually in portuguese, but the app itself asks for commands in english.
@89luca89 if you speak italian and the name with italian accent it works ok?

Ok, I did some investigations and it does support multiple languages, including portuguese from Portugal (pt-pt). It gets the language defined in the system settings but if this is not supported by Voice Command, then it falls back to english.
I've tried to rename the ptpt files to ptbr but it doesn't work, the app FCs. So for portuguese you have to set Pt Pt as the system language.
Luca, where did you get this app from? Is it standard from Motorola sbf at some region? I'll try to find if pt-br is supported and get the TTS files.

Language Pack
I've flashed the Vivo Leak and got the pt-br (Portugues Brasil) and es-mx (Español Mexico) language files. Just apply the attached update.zip file and you're good to go!
EDIT: Reported that vending.apk was included in the update.zip file. I mistakenly forgot to remove it. Uploaded new update.zip pack. The attached file is the right one with only tts files from Voice Commands.

Here comes the Swype for our Note with ICS.
You can install it as a normal app.
It is not necessary to push this as a system app.
If you have installed older versions of Swype, so please uninstall it first!

A. Come on, root your phone, make a backup of the app with Titanium Backup and uninstall it e.g. with Titanium Backup!

A. In the stock app there are only two first! (English and Spanish)

A. Just download and install your language in the options of Swype. Still its possible! (pls look @ the pics)
Q. Oh I've changed my dpi and now?
A. I'm currently on 200dpi and Swype works and looks fine here!

O.K. it seems there are server issues.
I'll upload my Titanium Backup files for my Swype ver. with all languages.
Hope it works.

1. download and unzip the package with Swype incl. all languages
2. copy the 3 files to your TitaniumBackup folder on sdcard (internal or external)
3. open TB and find Swype to restore
4. restore Swype (app+data)

I recommend to download all languages.
Pls make a Titanium Backup of Swype after the install of the languages.
