Is there a way to change the default music player so that the sense lockscreen controls can control another app such as "PowerAmp Music Player". I like the sense lockscreen, (the controls look very smooth & I dont want to use widget locker), and was wondering if there was a way to control other music apps from those locksreen controls.
Im running burnt droid 1.4 btw, with some mods of my own thrown in.
Have you tried making poweramp controls available on your lockscreen? I like the controls it provides for the lockscreen.
This would be good to know. I like using winamp but i also like the default sense lockscreen controls better.

Try WidgetLocker, it let's you place any widget on the lockscreen.

I use Mixzing exclusively. Every once in awhile the album art does not show. But its a great music app.
Thirded on MixZing. Overall a very good player, however you have to upgrade to use the lockscreen widget.

Forgot about having to pay for the upgrade, but well worth it. I like how it auotomatically figures music choices to like and dislike behind the scenes so that shuffle play is more likely to bring favorite tunes.

Widgetlocker is sweet, mostly... I only had it happen on 1 out of about 10 calls today(I downloaded it last night) where it would not allow me to answer the call no matter what.
I've wanted a music player with lockscreen controls for a while. Widgetlocker makes it so every music player can have lockscreen controls.
I remeber the 1st few Hero ROMS for the magic had that lock screen music widget when music was playing.
But All new Sense ROMs don`t have it anymore. Is there a way I can find it and install it on my 2.1 Hero? or my 2.2 Magic?
You can install WidgetLocker ($0.99 but well worth it) and add the Music widget to the lockscreen that way. I have Pandora, Jorte calendar, Settings Profile, the clock and the stock Music widget on my lockscreen at all times this way.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternative to this music player. Its not that I don't like it (I purchased the full app I'd hope I liked it ) but lately I've been wanting to start using WidgetLocker and sadly PlayerPro's lockscreen player doesn't play nicely with WidgetLocker. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a music app that has lockscreen controls (preferably you can swipe the screen to skip a track) and plays nice with WidgetLocker.

I haven't had any issues with the same setup, widgetlocker and playerpro work fine for me. What problem do you have?

PlayerPro's lockscreen doesn't initialize when I'm using widget locker
I recently installed ICSSGS on my captivate. Everything seems to be mostly working, but I don't have any music controls from the lockscreen. From what I have read thus far, others do have such controls....does anyone know if I need to enable them somewhere? I couldn't find any setting such as the ones I used to enable lockscreen music contols in gingerbread.

I can confirm the lock screen music controls work great with the Google music app.

Are you using AOSP Music or Google Music?
From what I understand only Google Music and a few other apps that have them enabled (PowerAmp, CyanogenMusic) will work, AOSP Music doesn't have them enabled so it wont and I believe that's the default player for ICSSGS

I've recently migrated to an Honor 8 phone which is using a MUI variant of Android OS.
My Media Utilities Widget - which was the most heavily used part of my phone - is no longer working properly.
The widget sets up fine, the MU button opens the Media Utilities drawer I see all the media apps I've added there, So far so good.
When I play any media, the widget displays the correct art ...and that is it.
The media app button doesn't change from a blue question mark button
Both the buttons lead back to the media utilities drawer when the app buttons should show and lead back to the playing app.
the control buttons show up but do not control the current media player
tapping the album art just leads back to the media utilities drawer.
The controls in the notification drawer work fine for whatever app is playing.
I've deleted and set up the widget many times with multiple settings but no change.
Jack's Music Widget is less functional - it doesn't lead back to a drawer / Menu of installed media apps. I tried it any way.
It has even less functionality.
It will display whatever is playing when the widget is set up but never change after that.
None of the controls work at all.
Any idea what is the problem?
Anyone having the same experience?
Any suggestions for a widget that can control multiple media apps? Local music player, Google Play Music, Spotify, Stitcher, etc.
