I bought one of these last week and I have to say it's probably the worst screen protector I've ever seen. The only positive I can think of is that, despite being slightly more complicated than your regular screen protector, it's easy to install it without getting any bubbles under the screen.
Once on, the screen looks extremely tacky. It's almost impossible to install it without trapping any dust underneath. Probably the worst thing about it is the feeling of the material it's made of. Despite having the whole 'being made out the same material as what's used to protect military helicopter blades' gimmick they have going on, I don't think it's a good material to have on your screen. The material is thick and soft. They say it's unlikely to scratch, but due to the soft nature of the material, it's very easy to make (permanent?) impressions into it. After just a day of use the screen looked extremely scratched up and really looked awful.
It also doesn't have a smooth finish. This really stands out when looking at it from an angle.
At prices of over £10 for only one protector this item is an absolute rip-off. Stay well away.

After i bought this Invisible **** for my old HTC Daimond ... I will never buy again this ...this ... **** This is the best word to describe it. INVISIBLE ****
Wow, alot of bad points. I have been using thshield on all my devices in my sig, and i gotta day its worth it. my screen gets protected. yes it does scrathc, bug not as much as other sscreen protectors. i have been using mine since
s eptember. my only con is that on resitive tiuch screens, you have to prress harder on the screen and it gives an unpleasnt felling and squelching noise when you flick scroll. like chalk running down a board thing
Yeah, I bought one of these too, and it was so badly shaped, unpleasantly textured and and difficult to apply that it immediately went in the bin. In the four months or so I've had the phone I've not got a mark on the casing it yet anyway- the unibody is very tough.
I've used many different shield on my phones, and ZAGG's Invisible Shield is imo the best. After couple of days of usage it becomes really smooth and there's no bubbles or dirt under the shield. A friend of mine didn't even notice the shield until he looked at the screen from an different angle.
My advice is to use this material to protect the body, but NOT the screen.
The orange peel effect, reduced luminosity and really poor tactile feedback/stickyness make it a really bad choice.
I put one on a camera screen, also on an iPod. Several years ago now. The protection (& grip/non-slide) offered to the iPod is very positive, but it's a magnet for smudges and other imperfections.
& while we're on the subject, spend a few €/$ and get a quality screen protector from one of the trusted brands, instead of the 10 for a dollar ebay ones
I find that screen protectors last the life of my phones, so it's a small investment really.
to me there are better options than Zagg IS.
I personally never use Zagg's but I've seen couple friends of mine having problems with IS. After a year the edges of the IS-folie seemed to dry off and changed to same faint orange color. They all used full protection (screen + body) and all the edges became so and look ugly.
Upon seeing that, I used Skinomi on both my DHD and Touch HD and I am VERY satisfied. Get from Amazon.com. It's cheaper and it comes with lifetime warranty.
i managed to scratch mine yesterday so much for their special non-military crap!
i was using a pen on my phone, Lol and the pen mark got on the invisible shield. then i tried to scracth it off and it left scratches all over the screen :/

THE BEST BEST BEST solution for me was buying CaseMate POP with screenprotector in it Can 100% recommend it!
Screenprotector CM POP is scretchproof - the black parts of CM POP are "scretchlove"
but... it's great!
I used my iPhone for two years without any protection rather the case (nothing fancy).
The DHD would get the same treatment. No shields.
Just be a little careful and don't put your phone straight in your pocket with some change in it.
Now i have to invest in a new better screen protector, any suggestions?

I fit these things in my work for a price of £6.99 or £9.99 for the whole thing, it's a good piece of kit if you don't mind the feel of it but it only really looks good on an iphone 4, you really can't notice it besides the feel, DHD on the other hand makes it look cheap an nasty, the material is the same stuff they use on the Apache helicopters, it's remouldable for a longer period of time, if you get marks on it then that's your fault, it won't allow scratches easily at all it's very robust, tbh if you want a nice smooth and strong screen protector then may i recommend a griffin as they are the smoothest.
Also when you use zagg you must leave it to set for around about 2 - 3 days to properly benefit it, if you have a problem with dust underneath the screen then you obviously haven't done it properly, i never get dust under the protector.

I'm using that at the moment, it's a bit chunky but then again, my hands are too so it's all good.
Very tough case, only gripe is that it gathers white bits of fluff from your pocket.

It could die. But seriously... screen protectors? Why bother wasting your money? To be honest, you might need it if you have say keys in your pocket, but who's stupid enough? I don't know but screen protectors are a waste of time and money.

To be fair, I use screen protectors. Just to be on the safe side, and they are non-obtrusive. And a waste of money? I have to disagree with that. I got 6 screen protectors off eBay for 99p UK seller- UV protection, anti-grease, anti-dust, anti-scratch. They last for about 3 months.
I think if you want to be safe, get a screen protector. They might protect your screen from damage one day, and for pennies its a worthy investment.
I disagree with Screen Protectors being a waste of money. My phone was in mint condition until I bent over and my phone slipped out my pocket.
It landed face down, on stones. I now have a scratch going right across my screen.
You get really cheap ones. But don't waste your time with those. You won't be able to see very well through them.
Go with Martin Fields protectors. Way more expensive, but worth it. I have one now.
I've used a Martin Fields one since day they were released and, combined with my HTC pull cord case, I've not got a mark on my handset. Small outlay for piece of mind IMO
I got some of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/FoneM8-Desi...UKGK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305831209&sr=8-1
Crystal clear, cheap as chips and doesn't interfere with the phone in any way.

exactly the same as me since i bought my desire. perfect combination and my desire still looks like new.
I'm using Martin Fields atm. I like the fact that it comes with camera protector as well. On the other hand I find it more "scratchable" than Brando Crystal Clear I've been using before. After a year it's so scratched I gotta change it. I'll try either 3M Vikuti or Writeshield Crystal now - these are are said to be among the best.
I do recommend to buy a good screen protector and apply it properly - this is a really good guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015394
You'll never notice it's there, it'll serve you a long time, you won't have to bother with several ****ty cheapos that require frequent changes and worsen the overall user experience (worse screen clarity, bubbles, don't fit to screen properly, don't stick on the edges, unpleasant in touch etc.).
This is my take on screen protectors.
I've been using a Zagg protector for the last 6 months. Excellent protection but find the screen isnt 100% responsive or smooth.
Tempted to try another but worried that it wont go on and fit as well as the zagg...
Has anyone experience with the original HTC-Ones (HTC SP P360)?

I had a Zagg and hated it. It distorted my screen and was not smooth to touch and drag on. I have the Vikuiti (3M) one mentioned in the "perfect application of a screen protector" thread and I couldn't be happier. I've had it on for more than a month. If I didn't know better I wouldn't even know it was there. It's VERY smooth and crystal clear so it doesn't interfere with the screen at all.
I just ordered a Brando anti glare one from there site, after watching some video's of it on youtube it looks very good.

I need some advice from those that have a lot of experience with screen protectors...
I had an HTC Thunderbolt phone and when I was at the mall one day I had a screen protector installed at one of those carts/kiosks that is no longer in business. I don't know what brand it was but I really liked the fact that I could barely tell that I had one on the phone.
When I got a new phone I had Zagg install a sceen protector on it, thinking that I would like it because it was Zagg and they are so popular. Well I really hate the way it kind of has an orange peel appearance and it seems to always look dirty/smudged even after cleaning. I think the display looked a lot better without the Zagg screen protector. Maybe they have more than one type of screen protector at Zagg and I just need to choose a different type...
Anyway, with that said, I want a screen protector for my Infinity that will protect it from scratches but I don't care about glare reduction etc. My preference it to not be able to tell I have a screen protector on my Infinity. (I really prefer not to have one at all, but I worry about scratching it even with gorilla glass). Of course I want it to fit properly and not lift off/peel, etc, and I don't mind spending a little more to get a good quality product.
So all you screen protector experts, which one would you recommend???
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a wrapsol from office depot and love it. You can not tell its onthe screen. I had several large bubbles when i applied it, but their film releases them. Nicest i have ever used. Its a dry application as well. Fit is great with cutouts for dock and camera. Crystal clear and very tough. Works great with my stylus too. I highly recommend them.

I actually bought one for the 300. Fits great. You would need to see the edge of the screen to actually tell its on there. Im as picky as can be with my devices and a cant say enough good things about the wrapsol. Not even the slightest hint of orange peel. Dont waste your money on the cheep one from amazon.

Yes, at least for this brand. I have no issues and the dock cutout is perfect. No issues docking mine. If not cutout for the dock they can peel or not dock properly. I was very impressed with it. This is 10 times better than any zag. The coolest factor was the way the film released the air bubbles. I figured i would end up tearing it off, but i have absolutely NO bubbles after a few days! Still as with any protector the screen must be lint free. I now know exactly what i will be buying for future devices. Give it a try.

Pick one up. They're not cheap ($25). Take your time, make sure the screen is clean, and give it some time for the bubbles to release. Google wrapsol. I found a few reviews helpful with pics. Good luck.
I bought wrapsol tf300 screen protector from office depot, but I'm confused on the fit! I have not installed it yet but from what I see the screen protector will cover the camera but not the light sensor is this correct or I'm I seeing it wrong. If so does the screen protector effect the camera by covering it?

Just another option... I bought the Skinomi. It's a wet one. Make sure you cover all the ports with tape before you do it. I can't see it at all. I've also used other brands and have had similar results except Zagg.

No, you need to turn it over. Your looking at the wrong side. The hole is for the camera. The light sensor is covered, but I have not had any issues with it. There is a protective layer that you will peel off once you have applied the protector as well. I have had mine on for about two weeks and I am very pleased. Make sure the screen is lint free and use the card board piece to help apply and then be patient on the bubbles to disappear. Every bubble I had disappeared, and my screen was full of them. Be easy when you tear the tabs off the protector and removing the finishing layer.
That's weird because I do see the layer I'm suppose to Take off it says to take that's layer off first b 4 installing. But when I take it off its sticky and if i install it sticky side down it covers the Camera. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Still doesn't sound like you're using the proper side. The camera hole is on the right side facing you.

I honestly don't know what they could change. I guess they could cut a hole for the light sensor, but i have no issues with it. I promise mine is a perfect fit with or without the dock. The bubbles take time, but they all clear up. Warm sunlight seemed to help as well. I won't be taking this one off period.
I would like to get a case/rotating stand for my GNote10.1. ( I will be buying from NewEgg. )
Looking at cases I discovered that a lot come in packages with screen protectors. An example is. ( This one is not the particular one I am interested in. It was just the first in my search. ) I thought if the protectors were any good I would get one.
So a few questions about screen protectors.
The most major question ( Aside from whether it's better to get a protector or go commando. ) is: do you get what you pay for? I've seen some protectors $1-$3, others 3 for $5.00-$10 some around $20. One I've seen 2 for $58. Are the cheaper screen protectors ( which are usually what comes with the bundle ) not as good as the more expensive ones? We all know that expensive is not the same as high quality. ( Under my breath: Apple. )
The second question is can putting these on/using them damage your screen? Is there some tacky substance that might be hard to get off? Is long time use likely to make them hard to get off?
Third question how do they affect sensitivity? Finger use? Spen use?
Also a quick question about the case. I've seen some cases described as being for the N8000 will these be any problem with the N8013?
do you get what you pay for?
- not really. some are more scratch resistant than the other. but a a $3-5 protector will still last you a year probably. then just get a new one. no need to invest in high end ones. there are some with the whole 'spy proofing' which unless you are looking straight at the screen you cant see anything. cool, but pointless also.
The second question is can putting these on/using them damage your screen? Is there some tacky substance that might be hard to get off? Is long time use likely to make them hard to get off?
-no, my old phones used to have screen protectors for a year or so, peels off very easily once you get a corner up. no residue, just peel it off and wipe with cloth and you are ready for the next sheet.
Third question how do they affect sensitivity? Finger use? Spen use?
-no problem. im using a matte screen protector now. no sensitivity problems noticed. but an affect on brightness.
Also a quick question about the case. I've seen some cases described as being for the N8000 will these be any problem with the N8013?
dont think there is any problem. but youll have to google the dimensions to be sure.

I bought a fairly inexpensive screen protector and have loved it. Bummed I cannot remember what kind it was in case i ever need to replace it. No issues. I have the Samsung case, so my worry was something getting between the case and the screen and scratching due to back and forth movement of flap.

Do you plan to get a tempered glass screen protector?

No.
If nothing ever comes in contact with your screen except your hand, there's no reason to have a screen protector. The reason most people scratch their screens is because they put them in their pockets with other stuff like coins and keys. If I'm paying $700 or so for a handheld computer, I'm not sticking it in my pocket like it's my spare change.
I use a belt holster most of time. I try not to stick my phone in my pockets, since I keep metal objects like keys on a key chain and coins in my pockets. The few times I do put my phone in my pocket -- like when wearing shorts with elastic band -- I make very sure nothing else is in that pocket. And that's very rarely. The only time I have ever scratched my phone screen (one of the Nexus phones years ago) was the one time I ignored that rule. Learned my lesson.
Yep.
Because if I pay $700 for a handheld computer, I'm going to afford it all the physical protections I would a $700 handheld computer :v
Seriously though, I live in a rural area, where gravel dust - containing quartz, which is harder than the Mohs 6 that the digitizer glass is - is quite abundant.
I had my Droid 4 out on my desk for one day, before the screen protector arrived, and managed to inflict several super-fine scratches just playing with it. One day. Thankfully, my Turbo/Quark came with a Verizon one preinstalled (which itself has received several scratches so far).
Gorilla glass is under stress by design: each scratch is a potential hit to impact resistance. I keep my Quark in a case and plan to continue doing that with whatever I get next, but every bit of added durability on top of that helps.
(amusingly, this is the first phone I've actually felt I needed to protect. my previous phones - aforementioned Droid 4 and an LG Ally - were built like bricks and survived several drops apiece. good ol' keyboard sliders.)
As for which one, well, whichever one gets it right. Apparently nobody has figured out how to make a good one for Samsung's ridiculously-curved screens, but I'm hoping that the lesser-curved digitizer on the v30 will be less of an issue.
I'm not particularly picky about brands, but I will say that if it comes down to getting a rubber film instead, I'll probably get a Skinomi one. It worked pretty well for my pre-Quark phones (though obviously isn't as nice to the touch as glass is).
I got the LG v20 and I order the screen protector after the phone but luckily it came with one pre-installed. I want to the v30 but am in the process of porting the v30 to the v20 and I always recommend a temper glass protection. Why? just because of being human and human error and you never know, somebody could bump you and accidentally dropped it. But to each it owns. $700+ for a phone is a lot, the v20 was $850+, especially if its main purpose is to call and text. That's why I always put cases and screen protector on my mini laptop. But I know myself and I was try to prevent things before it's to late...Better safe than sorry
I plan on getting the V30 (coming from 2015 Moto X Pure) and I always get a screen protector. I don't put my phone in my pockets but always in my belt clip holster. There's times where I have fumbled with my phone and it has fallen or it being on the desk and it takes an accidental tumble or just pure accidental bumping into something.
All my portable electronics have tempered glass i.e. iPads, digital cameras
All it takes is that one lucky drop.
i just bought the Wimaha one from Amazon.. hopefully it fits well
Waiting to see if there's one on it like the V20 had. I still have the one that came with the V20 on it. Had it since it came out. Somehow I suspect the V30 won't have one though as I bet they want to show off that screen.
I went with the GLASS-M one on Amazon. Hoping it works well on the v30. Will post back after it shows up tomorrow.
Edit,
Great protector from what I can tell. Easy to adhere

Is it US amazon ? Did you notice the 2 reviews on amazon about that screen protector ? One is written in 2015 and one in 2016 , AND marked as verified purchase by amazon . LOL I wold rather wait for this one and see

Yeah I did .... honestly tried to find one that looked like the one from Verizon. No idea how amazon let them review it unless it was a different product listing and somehow got updated?
Anyways, easy returns if it doesn’t work. But their other protectors (other devices) looked to get good reviews.
I got this.... LG V30 Screen Protector, Vigeer [ 2 Pack ] [0.3mm, 2.5D] on amazon... it doesn't connect at the rop right edge... sucks.... I hope I can return...
I picked up this same model and I'm not very happy with it. There's a dot grid that's visible when around bright overhead lights (office lighting, sun, etc) and the oleophobic coating does not seem to perform very well. I just placed the screen protector yesterday and I find myself constantly wiping the screen to remove fingerprints.

I went with the GLASS-M one on Amazon. Hoping it works well on the v30. Will post back after it shows up tomorrow.
Edit,
Great protector from what I can tell. Easy to adhere

Full screen protection and case friendly? I hate the ones that don't go side to side cause they are ugly will watching videos and even just using keyboard they add a lip to the side

I bought this as well and it is trash. About every third tap did not register. Very frustrating. I also tried one of the plastic stick on type like I had for my Galaxy S5, but it never kept contact near the curved edge. Still looking for one that isn't crap.
just picked up this one below;
Spigen LG V30 Screen Protector NeoFlex / 2 Pack / Wet Application for LG V30
Wet application type but well see how it goes!
Anybody know about the Qmaddix "liquid glass" stuff. Seems people swear its the greatest or its "snake oil". Verizon Reseller is pushing it hard!

Judging by the reviews it's either deal or really hard to do correctly

I just sent that one back. Doesn't fit the phone fully. No way can I stand texting or watching videos with that step in my phone work 2 dif levels of glass. But it did seem to be same quality as the rest.
