We use HTC Desire as our mainphone in the company and Exchange Sync is working perfect. But the syncing of "Tasks" is not available.
Is there any solution for this or some third-party app that can do it up agains Exchange?

Hi guys,
I have been wondering on the internet for days now looking for a solution to solve the problems going on with HTC Mail with sync-problems using Hotmail Exchange Active Sync. I am talking about the not getting the mails to sync with Hotmail being read/unread from your phone and deleting e-mails. Moving and pulling e-mails works just fine with the Gingerbread version.
Now, I have found a solution on accident on how to solve this freaking annoying problem so we can all continue to use HTC Mail with it's nice widget. See if you can get your hands on the Moxier Mail application through Applanet. Install it, and set it up with your Hotmail account. It's important to leave the Hotmail Active Sync account in your HTC Mail and do not delete it. Make sure Moxier Mail syncs with everything, including your mail, contacts, calendar and tasks. Wait for it to finish, then send yourself a test-mail and open it through Moxier. After that it's okay to uninstall Moxier now. After uninstalling you'll find HTC Mail's sync problems are *poof*, gone!
This has only been tested on my HTC Desire running 2.3.3 InsertCoin. Please try it out yourselves if you're camping with this problem and post up the results and your phone model.
I hope this solves a lot of headaches. Happy trying .
Regards, Slisher.
P.S.: You can always PM or e-mail me regarding any questions.
Worked on my HTC Desire HD (running 2.3.3).
Might get to try on a HTC Wildfire S in the next few days.

hello,
I work for a managed service providor and we have recently supplied one of our customers with a desire s.
The phone is completely stock and up to date.
I have configured an exchange 2007 account on the device. Calender items entered in outlook are synched to the phone, but events entered on the phone are not synched to the server. any ideas?
I have removed the account from the phone, cleared all calender data and reconfigured the account. This has not resolved the issue.

Check if the calendar item entered in the phone is added as an Exchange Item, not as a PC Sync/phone or Google calendar item. Only Exhange items are sync with your Outlook account.

Does anyone know if you can get outlook web app to sync to your phone via HTC email app. I tried using the exchange active sync but keep getting errors. ? Would like to get emails and not have to log in through the internet each time. Supposedly blackberry users can sync.. but I can't get the HTC one x to. ? Any ideas.

I know in my case it depended on hte server. I sync my work email (which is exchange) on my phone, but only after they "enabled" it on their server (before that I couldn't).
Hmm. That may be why.

Agreed, check with your Exchange admin. There are a lot of security settings on ActiveSync and it could be that they've blocked syncing except on approved accounts.
Try setting up your gmail as an Exchange account. You just need to input the server as m.google.com. If that syncs, the problem is your work server settings.
I've never had any issues getting my Exchange email, though I use the stock ICS apps rather than the Sense mail app (which I detest).
