I have taken a look at the rom.zip, here is a screenshot with the contents!
P.S. I do not have any uploading accounts/experience, and I suspect that by the time it has been uploaded by me, everyone will have finished downloading it. Therefore I will kindly leave it to someone who has an online file storage account.

Did you flash it yet??
I think that I will wait to try this out, just in case it breaks root and reverts back to S-ON as it seems that the latest WWE RUU for the G2 does exactly this. I would advise against anyone flashing this ROM unless they are willing to be the guinea pig and possibly lose the ability to root and flash any other ROM afterwards.

That is correct.
In theory it'll be the HBoot that causes the ROOT and S-OFF blocking, however I am only using logical guesswork here. I can confirm that the radio.img alone can be flashed and subsequently downgraded as I, and I believe Xmoo also, did this yesterday with the radio from the Spanish release (it's the same radio.img).

Can you please post the rom somewhere? I don't really care about the issues at this point. I just want to have a rom which has android market and the other stuff in it. Pretty please? The rapidshare thing is frustrating at this point since its a tease

It looks like the AU ROM will update the SPL to a prefected SPL. Can anybody who has updated with the AU ROM post the SPL version of his/her phone?

Getting it now. I figure rooting and hero roms and other stuff can wait. I'll just take the applications I have been missing so much since I bought the phone here in Chennai.
Be careful.. don't just install this.. if it does what these other claims, you will have a phone in far worse condition IMHO.

how to extract rom.zip from .exe file that is posted.
Why ppl are asking not to use other roms is becze it will update to spl 10 which we already have. atleast we can get google market with this one. all the other roms that are out there wont work for us.

Hi all,
Haven't seen anyone post an update.zip for this yet, but this is the radio img that comes with DMD64. I've used it on both 32B and G1 running latest Cyanogen.
This has been pulled from the official update DMD64 from Lucid REMs site. All I have done is pull the radio image from that.

This has been shown to work on several different versions of Dream/Magic 32B. However, please make sure you have an upgradeable radio version. ie. 2.22.19.26I
There have also been instances where the Market App will not connect data-wise. brentlacydotcom found the solution (completely I hope). Those with WebGuard might have to have it removed because it does not play nicely with the new radio. Go here for info about Webguard.

Instructions:
1. Put either file onto the root directory of your sdcard. [/sdcard]
2. Boot your phone into recovery mode. [Either Cyanogen or Ra's recovery works]
3. Apply "any .zip" update and point it to the file.
4. When prompted, reboot your phone.
5. Patiently wait (the flea circus will do their job within your phone)
6. It should put you back into recovery, from there, reboot and you should be good.

Just to clear things up. I don't advertise that this radio update will change your life, get you laid, or help you win the lottery. I have only posted this update because it is a new version of the radio. That's it. It came from a need (my wife was complaining of call quality issues) and I wanted to share it with the community. I would love to say this radio update will change your life...really I do. But to be honest, it is just a step up from the 26I firmware. I'm not even advertising that it's an improvement. I have seen results on mine and my wife's phones but that's it. Your experience can and will be different than mine. That is just the way hardware works. At the end of it all, if you are getting positive results from the update - awesome. If not - well, my apologies and hopefully when T-mo rolls out the actual official update, it might come with something different.

no..it's not an update for my rom....but is an OTA update...
It's probably just the Market Update. The Legend Market was missing some apps. If it's an OTA, I would Flash it over in Recovery with No-Wipe.
patch updates
These patch updates can be a pain in the arse.. so far the only way I've found to use them is to modify the updater-script to bypass the security checks, and make sure its not "updating" or changing something I don't want it to, resign, and apply the update. Than once its done pull the nand image off the phone, unpack it, convert it to an update.zip so the rest of the world can enjoy.. maybe there's a better way but that's the best I can offer.

Dude.. one post up. I just told you.
I did this back when cupcake got its crc patch ota update I just didn't share it with the world.. enomther did.
The OTA is actually for upgrades to the system which is going to allow for better performance with the use of certain apps. Some apps will also be upgraded as well.
I received the OTA today, and that what was suggested in the message I received.
However the download failed to install to my SDcard. Instead my phone automatically went into recovery, and just rebooted from there.
I'm still receiving the option to update via OTA. I just check off "Install Later".
If this is only for the Legend how come it's in a thread for the G1 Delsa. I got confused for a minute...lol...

Used this kernel a few times... still get my AT&T boot screen as usual. Don't see any Rogers info whatsoever.
The boot animation is contained in /system/media, not in the initramfs, so kernel cannot give you rogers screen/rogers system. You flashed a rogers ROM at some point!

I doubt anyone has tested it apart from the uploader because the download is painfully slow. I think the hosting website caps the download at about 20kbs a second. I've been downloading it 20 mins after the thread was made and I'm only just passed half way

my download failed at 86% :S why host on such a scappy site. :S dont understand it. If u share something with people your ganna need a good host otherwise the speeds ganna get capped waste of time im ganna use the stock HTCCN RUU and see if it gives me the update. then once i download the update on my wifi ill upload the file to mediafire. DO NOT FLASH, it will turn your device s-on unless ur xtc clipped. This should have been mentioned by OP
