I have Galaxy S with official firmware 2.2 I9000JPJPG and me as many others from the middle east Arab countries need to upgrade to the version 2.2.1 I9000XXJPU or I9000XXJPX .
the problem it's not support Arabic language, is there are any possibility to make 2.2.1 version firmware to support that language (at least Arabic reading and writing capabilities )
Only way you'd be able to do this is if you could find a framework.jar which supports arabic AND this specific type of device and replace it with the one in the ROM you'd like to flash.
(you might want to consult the guys in the HD2 section which uncovered the framework RTL editing.

I'm wondering why it's so freak-en difficult to add arabic support into android....
I'm having an android device that's running Gingerbread 2.3.1 and it's arabic is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad....
the question is :
Is there a generalized way to add arabic to this android version or any other android version???
can I scrape the arabization from the honeycomd and add it to any android version??
how do you guys cook arabic into some roms??? can it be done without having to reflash or it has to be cooked into the rom???
so many questions .... ... and i'm also maaad

samsung s plus in arabic regions comes with 2.3.3 already and the firmwares available is only 2.3.3 but the developers need to work on that to give us 2.3.4 , 2.3.5, 2.3.6, those have been released in other places nothing new since last july in arabic section
Hello, I am not sure if this is a right place open that thread but I couldn't find any better section.
I own a Samsung Jet S8000 with the newest firmware that I found on the net (S800MCEJJ3) but it doen't include the language I want (Greek). The only version that includes Greek is a too older version that Samsung released in Greece
So my question is, is there any way to grab the language pack from the older version and put it on the new? The firmware zip file consists of:
Boot_files
amss.bin
apps_compressed.bin
FactoryFs_S8000_Open_Europe_Common_OXC.ffs
Rsrc_S8000OXC.rc1
Rsrc2_S8000(Low).rc2
I think that the language is at the FactoryFs file.

I dont think youll find it. The closest thing there is a rooted rom with arabic patch by madmack. Thats why people move to other roms like cyanogen or miui, its the lack of rtl support in vanilla android

I've Galaxy S7562L (with south america languges), i'd like to add arabic language.
I search for rom contain arabic support but no such rom, i try to add S7562 CSC arabic, and the problem still exist.
so, is there any method to add a language for ever, even if I do a factory reset on the device ?
