Windows 7 RUU - how to get it working

Simple really.
When it fails search for instructions on how to get it working with Vista - I never had a problem with Vista myself but upgrading to Windows 7 it just failed so I found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=313001
and followed the instructions there.
I was trying it out omn my Universal as I don't use it now so it didn't matter - but now I have a shiny new ROM on it I might just start using it again
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
RUU's were crashing for me just at the PDA detection stage.
I tried custom compatibility settings for the RUU:
Run this program as administrator
Disable Visual Themes
Disable Desktop Compisition
Run in Windows XP SP2 Compatibility Mode
These should work with Win 7 x64 however you may need to apply these settings to the other executable files in the RUU folder (EnterBootLoader and RUUGetInfo).
Thanks. It seems as that worked. I also had to switch usb ports.

Vista & XP won't find my HTC Dream (fastboot)

I've been following this guide and its been going fine until now:
ht tp: //wiki.c yanogenmo d.c om/i ndex. php/Full_Update_Guide_-_Rogers_Dream_EBI1_to_CyanogenMod
I'm trying to do the fastboot portion but I can't get Vista(windows server 2008) or another computer running windows xp to recognize my phone. At one point using the adb command I was able to pickup my phone(on windows xp). I then gave it the command to reboot into the fastboot menu. Fastboot wouldn't pick it up.
Any ideas? Vista is 64 bit. I tried the 64 bit fix that was posted here and it didn't work.
Here's the error I get when I pull up the properties of the device in device manager
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Unable to Install WMDC

Hi All,
I am unable to install WMDC 6.1 on Vista x86 SP2 (with all updates installed till date). Whenever I am trying to install - it says:
Atleast one of the Windows component required by WMDC is missing.
When I am connecting the device without installing - it is saying :
"Windows Mobile-based device"
The Class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this device.
My System:
Toshiba Satellite A40 (P4 M 2.66 / 768 MB/ 80 GB) / Vista x86 SP2 / ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
I have tried disabling AV as well as firewall. Still the same result.
This happens with both my HTC Vox and Samsung B7320. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

OnePlus 6 USB Driver for Windows XP ?

Can anyone point to reliable source of OnePlus 6 USB driver for Windows XP ?
I already have ADB installed in WinXP, used with previous phones. Just need USB driver for OP6 that works with ancient 32bit WinXP.
TIA...
It's too late to answer now but I just got my first ever OnePlus 6 a few days before. First, install the simple driver that came with your phone. Then go to its installation directory (C:\Program Files\OnePlus USB Drivers) there you will see a directory named xp. Install the driver from the windows device manager and you are good to go. Please see the attached file...

Unable install ADB Interface for Nokia 3

Does anyone know how to install "ADB Interface" for Nokia 3 on Windows 7?
Download & install the adb client from the Google official website for your Windows 7 at first.
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html
Try the Nokia USB driver
