Hi
I was told that Fayro supports Multilanguage.
So can I set the device to use Chinese Menu?
THX
Pls check your G Tablet and give me an answer.
wekow,
I'm sorry but I don't see an option on the GTablet to change the language to Chinese. Maybe someone else smarter that me knows how.
TnT (Lite) doesn't have that option. I believe the VEGAn build has the best language support, but you can thank the vendor for that.
TnT (Lite) had better support with the origninal firmware, and then they pulled it in subsquent firmware releases. Hopefully that's something they will fix.

The original TNT (version 1.0.something) on my new G Tablet had many languages including Simplified and Traditional Chinese. I was excited as my wife is from Shanghai and doesn't speak English. Unfortunately I made the mistake of accepting the first update from Viewsonic and got TNT (version 1.1.something) which only has UK and US English. I'm now downloading VEGAn 1.00 Beta 3 and will post here if anything good comes up.

Roebeet,
Thanks for the pointer to VEGAn! I've just completed the installation and update of VEGAn-TAB 1.00 Beta 3 and update 3b and this thing sings! Plus the fact that it can now be operated in 20-30 languages (estimated) including Simplified and Traditional Chinese!

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a WM6.1 device (the Asus P320) i know its not branded 6.1, but thought you guys would know -- would it be possible to change the language of the GUI to English as it comes only in Chinese here. I don't have access to the english roms but would it be possible to do via the registry or anything else?
please let me know thanks.
The language is part of the rom, if you buy a device with a chines rom only the chinese language is included. Theres no registry tweak, sorry.
I see -- anyone know where I can get english roms for the Asus P320? I searched the forum found a few for 525 -- but couldn't find where they got them.
thanks
Related question --
Asus hasn't released the english roms out yet -- but when they do post it on their website -- would they be region specific? (e.g. chinese rom only workso n chinese device? as in teh case of updates) or would the rom completely replace the device regardless of region?
If the latter is the case i might just wait for the english rom to come out
Thanks.
It's OUT.. check Asus support website
Is it possible?
I need to get the european ROM that contains the scandinavian languages... IE Norwegian/swedish/danish..
there's a language pack you can get? is it worth trying that first?
as you'd lose 3.1 for a Euro image - Moto can't be bothered to push it out yet it seems.
I've not tried it - especially as the img's only went up today/late last night, but as the US goes on the UK wifi only xoom I don't see why it wouldnt.

any link to this language pack?
And if i decide to just skip 3.1 for the time beeing, where can i find the EU ROM ?
Moto's website - see the link in my previous post
have a look here for the language pack link

Thx mate
Anyone tried this languagepack?
Does it just give us other language in menues etc or does it also provide us with dictionary for the keyboard?
Any results on this one? I'm currently in Germany and have a US Wifi Only Xoom. Family wants to keep it but they like to have it in German...
Hi everyone!
After long search I decided to ask you guys for help..
So, I got Defy, currently running on stock Froyo 2.2.2 (Central European Region) and everything works fine but this region's version doesn't have Croatian language.. I tried several other stock ROM-s, but none of those which I tried does not contain my language..
My question is - is there a stock ROM which contains croatian language and where can I find it?
I know that CyanogenMod has it, but it isn't so good - lot of options aren't correctly translated, or doesn't have a translation at all..
If there ain't no ROM with my lang. file, can I import it somehow, or translate some other language to mine and import it to my phone?
Thanks for suggestions, appreciate it!
Anyone?
MS2Ginger has a solid language pack. It's a gingerbread ROM though, but you can give it a try. I am also looking for a language pack to import afterwards but couldn't find any. Success
Look for MoreLocale 2 in Google Play Store

Stock ROM with full language support? Probably not. AT&T based their phones for the USA, so options for language may stretch to Spanish, but that's about it. My current phone from T-Mo has only 6 languages to choose from, so I assume the older AT&T offering is not that different. You may be able to hack this by modifying the strings.xml files, and doing a lot of translating.
Custom on the other hand, at least recently, does support Polish (checked on my April build of CarbonROM). So if your nightly of whichever ROM you choose does not have it, maybe the developer can run a new nightly (assuming the ROM you choose is Kitkat-based).
Hope this helps.
So I have a Samsung Vivo from China that I am trying to get full English functionality on. The language has been changed to English but many of the apps and functionality is in Chinese. Would there be a ROM or firmware to change it wholly to English?
Thank you for the help. I searched the forums and only found bastardized versions of the ROM.
That's most likely all you will end up finding. Even then not all things will be translated. Your only hope is for it to have a version that was released outside of China and you can flash that firmware.
