Here is the new Google Maps 5.0 apk for the ones that cannot update it.
Push it via ADB.
I have the streetmap available as well dunno if it was updated in the 5.0 though.
It is taken from a Samsung Galaxy S so the devices that are not compatible with new 3D View and new stuff may not work.
To be Confirmed.
Don't forget to backup your apk before trying to push via ADB.
EDIT : I've re-extracted it from my device, this time with Titanium Backup, and I guarantee this is 5.0
It looks like Google Maps 4.5.0 and Street View 1.6.0.6...
I Tried this with no luck
Fixed
Only available for those devices :

You probably need to add G2 / Desire Z + HD to this list though.
And it seems there is no need to update streetview as it is still 1.6.0.6 after the update.

Yeah, for the ones who cannot update it.
Like everybody on Cyanogen Mod usually cannot update their system apps like GMaps.
with maps5 is possible to cache all country maps on cache ? or only the already navigated roadmaps?

IT WORKS!
On my Nexus One w Cyanogen works fine, the compass like a charm... and it installs fine withoot problems.
Works fine @desire2.2
3D and compass works great, unable to rotate.
Is there a way to update this via SideLoading? I tried (via Sideload Wonder Machine) and got the error message "INSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS." Any tips, suggestions would be appreciated!
What's the deal with the rotate not working?
Droid X - 3d rotate works
Nexus - rotate doesn't work
Archos A70 - rotate doesn't work
Everything works but rotate on my Nexus...
Updated via Market on HTC Inc. running Cyanogen 6.1 and everything works but rotate. According to Google, rotate is supported on the Incredible. Anyone know what might be the issue?
Rotate on droid works. But it doesn't work on my milestone. Im running got telus froyo. Any ideas?
x10i 2.1 eorks fine

simply installed it on Desire. works fine. thanks!
i wasn't able to find it any other way...
For this to install you need a rooted device?
It will replace the maps that I have it installed on Htc Desire?
Can I install simply by transfering the file to memory card and then install?
Thanks
you can use "adb install -r com.google.android.apps.maps-2.apk"
to install it

is this what you meant?
Man wish I could try and install this. I tried from another thread and it says that it can't install. So I goto uninstall it and it says failure to uninstall it. Trying going thru root manager and see if I could find the apk and delete it myself or atleast move it to my sdcard and then delete it from my computer.
Any ideas.
Well got the keyboard deleted but now I can't get it to install. Says application not installed.
I like trying out new keyboards (currently demoing touchpal and loving it).
what is a multitouch keyboard?
does this work for htc hero on vanilla 2.2? based on cm6
Hello, I'm quite new to this, but i sucessfully rooted and installed cyanogenmod built 26 + google apps. It worked perfectly but after a short while, when I tried to open the Android Market, It says it is loading than crashes or whatever and goes back to homescreen. It sent out no error messages.
I tried reinstalling google apps, both gb and hdpi, upgrade cyanogenmod to built 27, and restoring market app to working version using Titanium Backup. They all couldn't fix the problem.
I than restore the kernel itself to stock using clockwork recovery, than the market did work.
Is there any way to fix this market issue on cyanogenmod? Or is it different issue related to Android Market?
Thanks for helping out this newbie!
I was having similar issues with CM7 so I just gave up on it until it they have a release candidate and not just nightlies.
Okay thank you for the info
I think I'll stay with the stock kernel or some other stable rom.
btw, how does the nightly build cyanogen mods work? Like why is it every night, whats the difference of every built, when will the stable version comes out?
Thanks
I have CM 6.1.1 and I have the same problem with market app.
I tried restoring the market app I was using before i flashed to CM6.1.1 but market app crashes, it opens up and the home screen is displayed again.
I tried downloading the market app apk and installing it but I faced the same problem again. Anyone have any idea how to go about this?

you just bumped a months old thread.
you're using CM 6.1.1, this is discontinued -- you're probably trying to use new markets on 2.2
its also pretty obvious that you don't have a Nexus S either :\
Hello,
I'm looking for the latest version of Skyfire Browser (3.2.2), however it does not appear in my market. Think I someone could upload the .apk?
Thanks,
The version in the market is 3.2.2, its name is skyfire browser 3.0 but it will tell you the correct version near the bottom

Hallo,
I would also like to ask for 3.2.2.apk, thanks in advance
RE: Skyfire 3.22 apk
I too would like a copy of the skyfire 3.22 apk. obviously it does not show up in the market for me or else i would not need to ask for the apk. (market says not compatible with device, although it works fine with the 3.0 apk )
I too would like a copy of the 3.2.2 apk.
On my tmobile comet/ideos u8150 it doesn't let me install it from market.android.com apparently my phone is not compatible even though it works fine on my phone
The market app got updated on the android os and now it doesn't work on this build. Before the market app update it worked. I could download games and stuff. I didn't update the market app, it updated itself. I tried it on some Boxman build and it worked. I really like the American Android build because it can connect to pc so easily by pressing usb storage on. Please help fix this problem.
are anybody else having the same problem as me?
I just installed (upgraded) to ICS using Brainmasters MIUI ICS (his last so far :'( ... ), I'm just wondering if there is any way to install Google Wallet, before on 2.3.7 it was fine but now on ICS I haven't found a way to make it work.
Does anybody know how to make GW to work?
Thanks.

What have you tried? What errors are you getting? I've had Wallet working on every ICS ROM I've tried. Haven't tried MIUI though. I'm on CM9 currently and I just installed Wallet from the Market with no problems.
*if you didn't wipe /system and /boot it is NOT A FULL WIPE*

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. It originally worked for me but when I switched roms it has never worked again. ICS or Gingerbread roms. I have tried all the fixes and ways to do it out there and it just doesn't work anymore. It pulls up my original account and shows my past purchases but it doesn't show my balance and when I try to add the goggle prepaid card it gives me an error. I just gave up.
Initially I was getting a NFC error, "NFC service has to close" or something like that, then I tried installing the app after I had everything working and now I get the "GW has to close"....or something like that....now I love Google Wallet but I'm in Canada so is not that much of a big deal since I can't reload that thing...on the other hand I may be more interested on getting the Torch working, before ICS MIUI came with the torch so if I needed it I will hold the Home button and the torch will kick, it's even on my status bar....but is nowhere on my phone.....???....gotta look for MIUI torch...man....still, gonna try the 2 work arounds.
