Just got my tablet today, the box was sealed but there was no screen protector on the tablet so I'm just wondering does it come with a screen protector? As I know a lot of tablets/phones do come with one.
I am using 3rd gtab after some issues with first two. First two gtab had a screen protector but useless. I had to remove it. lot of bubbles. 3rd one did not come with. I did not care before first two was not useable at all.
I got mine last week and it didn't have one either.
Had mine about 2 weeks. Didn't come with one, no.
be careful of the screen, it is very easy to get scratch. I have it for 3 days and a very minor scratch at the screen (I used a laptop bag to carry it, still no idea how to get the scratch).. =(
Only the first batch that went out to SEARS have a screen protector (and it wasn't very good, lots of bubbles that needed to be removed). I don't think subsequent batches have them.
Well I guess I was lucky. I bought my gtab from Sears November 22 and mine had the screen protector. Granted the left side of screen protector is lifted but that is on the bezel and not the screen. Other than that, there are zero bubbles on mine.

I think they started putting a foam rubber pad, glued to inside of the top cover instead.
Jim
my tab is so awesome it came with 2 screen protectors. It was a refurb too and the previous owner removed all the bubbles for me. Its from sears btw.
So, since most of the ones didnt come with one, and the ones who did are crappy, where can one purchase a decent one?

hi can anyoe please post some pictures of there fuze or touch pro scratches anywhere
did you drop it all or does it easily scratch
please post pictures
thanks
Yeah, how fragile is the screen if you pocket the device?
The faceted back gets 2 wear marks on it quickly at the 2 high points on it since they are always rubbing on either the carry case or when you set it down on something. Mine is already showing wear on these two spots on the back after 10 days and I try to take good care of mine. My tilt looked mint after 11 months. Why does att not use a rubber coated back like the original touch pro does? Something tells me this phone will look like crap after a few months use. You have to clean it almost 3 times a day to keep it looking decent too.
I did see an add for a thin film that can be placed on the phone and it covers both the screen and the rest of of the device. They demonstrated by taking a key and 2 I-Pods. Then they scratched both. One was covered in their protected film and the other was not, It made a huge difference.
Something like this is what I would recommend. It is a little expensive but may save your device.

Yeah I agree it seems pretty delicate, especially the ATT version's finish. I ordered this on friday: http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-fuze-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
I already had a few light scratches on the screen because ATT had forgotten my screen protector in the CD bag for some reason, luckily the whole stylus switch issue had happened with my phone and I had a valid reason other than the scratches for an exchange.
DON'T FORGET TO PUT ON YOUR SCREEN PROTECTOR IMMEDIATELY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Mine too! Can't wait to put some damage on the paint so I can happily skin it or strip it...
It's pretty and all but I agree, function over form.
BUT HTC HAS TO COMPETE WITH THE IPHONE WAAAAAA
Vodaphone had forgotten to give me a screen protector and got 2 bad scratches within the first day.
Emailed HTC and they do offer to refurbish the screen, but need to phone them for what cost.
They also say you can list it as a DOA (dead on arrival) with the retailer if it scraches, but mine is an ebay'ed one
Wont insurance cover these things?
I was using my Fuze the other day, and was scrolling down a website with the stylus, when all of a sudden the god damn stylus scratched my screen. As you can imagine i was mortified and shocked. A big gash only a week into owning my beautiful new fuze. So i take it in and tell them what happened and they gladly replaced the phone. Nice people! Guess the 30 day period does cover scratches, if by stylus!
thats odd, glad they swapped it for you. was your stylus's point sharper then usual?
So....
It's a good thing to treat your new styli to a bit of emery cloth before you start playing.
Erm... The first thing I did when I got my fuze was throw on that screen protector. Would be foolish if ya didn't do that the second go round.

When you say "that" screen protector. Are you saying they provided one with the FUZE in the box? Or did you buy one separately?
Yes one does come inside the box.
I was applying my invisible shield today and a little bit of the solution got into the earpiece duct, about 10 minutes later my touch screen was no longer functional. I've already returned my phone and getting a new one Saturday. Be careful with your phones guys, a little liquid and its all over.
I love the included screen protector. I've used alot of protectors over the past decade and the stock one holds up better than most (especially for free). I still don't have so much as a blemish on it even with alot of active use and it traveling in my pocket (but no keys). And it's such a good fit that when people check out my phone they tell me that, "You really should get a screen protector before you get any scratches on the glass."
Joke's on them.
I never even looked in the bag with the quick start guide, sure enough a screen protector and another screen protector that comes on the phone with all the warnings on it.
Included protector
Does anyone know the manufacturer of the included protector?
I didn't get mine aligned properly, some dust started peeling it from the corner so I had to ditch it and got an invisible shield, but I liked the included one because until you get use to it, the invible shield takes some getting use to.
Just peel your included screen protector off, wash it with some soapy water, and reapply it to your screen again (while still damp, but not drippy wet). Smooth it out and gently move all the bubbles of water out to the edges of the screen, and voila.
It doesn't specifically use a tacky glue so you can reapply it again and again. I do the same trick on my DS for perfectly clear and aligned protection.
Same trick people that tinted my car windows used for getting the plastic onto glass.

Did you wait 12-24hr before putting the battery back in and powering it up after installing the invisibleshield? Because you are supposed to, to prevent exactly what happened.
Dang It, I need to double check my trash. I had no idea they provided a screen protector. It was in a bag with the quick start guide?

Yep
[filler goes here]
It seems that almost all sellers offer screen protectors in packs of 5 or more.
Moreover, whenever you buy an accessory for SGS, the seller throws in a screen protector or two.
I myself have now about ten protectors around the house, but why would I need more than one? I've applied one as soon as I got my SGS and am quite happy with it.
Should they be replaced often? Or is it just in case you screw up applying them and so some spares are made available?
probably 2 reasons.
1. If u screw up the application (as you already said).
2. If it gets scratched up, so that the viewing quality isn't as good (sometimes the scratches refract the light differently/badly, you might wanna replace.
I've dropped my phone quite a few times since I put on an SP, and it's a bit scratched up. I can forsee myself replacing it in a few months (with one of the spares).
Yeah they typically are very easy to scratch, unlike the screen, giving the false sense of security when you say "that could have been my screen" or something like that.
So you need replacements for when ugly scratches make their way on.
And if you doing a bad job putting one on, and you want to redo it, don't reuse the old one. ( It will crinkle, and there will be bubbles and dust and stuff. )
Those cheap ones get scratched easily and very hard to get on. I had to use up 3 out of 5 that I got to get one without any bubbles and dust particles. Glad they sent more than 2
I wanted to put this out there for anyone who might be interested, since I have never been a fan of the usual "peel & stick" screen protectors. They hardly ever go on right and I think they interfere with the touch sensitivity of the screen. So, I decided to give one of these military grade, high tech, screen protectors a try to see if they were any different.
The first thing I noticed is that this one is thin. I mean like Saran Wrap thin. This is great for the touch response of the screen but it made me wonder how well it would actually protect my phone. Second, it is laser cut accurately to fit the screen and all of the holes are in the right place. Supposedly, this material is used to cover the blades of helicopters and it is advertised as being "self healing". On this, I am happy to report that it really does work as advertised. Small scratches slowly fade away and disappear over the course of a few days. One day, I accidentally slipped my phone into the same coat pocket as my car keys and it came out with a bunch of tiny little scratches all over the screen. Within a few days they were all gone. It was kinda weird.
This screen protector is applied with a special spray. I was a bit concerned about having to do a wet application but it really isn't that hard. The package comes with good directions and a link to a video to show you how to put it on. The downside is that your phone will be out of commission overnight while it dries. At first, there will be some minor blemishes, or tiny bubbles, but these will all disappear in a few days. The finished product is crystal clear, almost like having nothing at all. It has kind of an orange peel feel to it and your finger stick a bit, until a little oil builds up on it. The only real negative I have noticed is that finger prints show up badly. I find myself cleaning the screen a lot.
Last, this product comes with lifetime replacement. I can attest that the company stands behind their product. The first one I ordered had a small bubble of the material right in the center of the screen. I was really irritated by this, after all the trouble I went through. I contacted the company and within two days an entire new kit was delivered to my door.
I found this one on Amazon but I'm sure you can find it, or one like it, elsewhere.

Yeah, I've been through a lot of them. You need to have about 6 to get one on right! If you're lucky - you get it in less than 3 tries and have some on hand for next time.
I purchased the IQ shield product based on the original poster's recommendation. The product arrived ahead of schedule. Like other liquid mounted product, it was fairly easy to put on and adjust until properly aligned. All of the cutouts were correct.
The finish product initially had few bubble, which I squeeze out the bigger ones with the enclosed squeegee. Most of the bubble disappeared after a few hours. The rest after a day.
The surface is really smooth like glass. There isn't any decrease sensitivity issue. The only issue as indicated by the original poster is that finger prints shows and is hard to clean off.

Hey all,
I bought my flip the day it came out and have developed some cracking and peeling on the crease of the screen. Is this something I can easily fix with a new screen protector or is this something I need to call Samsung for and use the warranty?
Wowsers, may I ask how that happened? I'd get onto Samsung. That's what the warranty is for after all!
This is just normal use. I don't do anything crazy. I have a desk job. It just started cracking one day and keeps getting progressively worse.
Hi i had the same problem. i saw a crack in the protector horizontaly in the crease right side 2 weeks ago(i bought zflip 3 on end of august) with a gray reflect on White color of the screen.
I decided to remove the protector (you tube vidéo helps to it and furthermore in the french stores all Zflip 3 demo units had no protector on it like flip 1). I bought an hydrogel protector taylor cutted by machine.
The bad big surprise is that the Samsung original protector is not an hydrogel one but a simple sticker like S20 models !! It's a shame for a foldable and the risj to damage the screen is high.
Now i have my z flip 3 with hydrogel that i managed to put myself because the vendor was not sure..... The feeling is better, feels stronger and i love typing text on it after.
I have 2 micro bubbles left but it's far better than to have a cut in the plastic.

Update: I got a new screen protector on Amazon and everything is perfect now. Removal and replacement wasn't much different than a standard phone.
Well done!!!, the phone is better after, the screen seems stronger, typing is easier and its protected!!!

Is it true when you replace the original protector with something else and it is not done by Samsung, warranty will be void?
