I have been looking for a case for my HTC Sensation 4G.
The main purpose is to save a phone in case of an accidental drop.
I read this amazon review

Looks like you already have done some research on this. But based on what you want....meaning in case of an accidental drop I think out of the ones you posted, the trident one is the one I think would be the best overall case. I personally use the seidio active case with kickstand with holster and it looks great and I feel safe in not having any exposed corners to chip or bump into.

Sorry I was incorrect in mentioning the trident case, it was the case mate that I was referring to as per video in that thread.
I'm using the Seido case right now. I love it. I've had it for about 2 months now. Glad I got this one. I like the fact that when you put it in the holster the screen faces in.
I use the Otterbox commuter series, but I think I'm going to switch to the Seidio Active. I don't like the fit of the Otterbox.
I posted a video review of these cases. It compares the Trident, Seidio, and CaseMate. It's in this forum somewhere.

I LOVE this case. The only thing that bugs me is that oils from hands stays on the case, and feels a little disgusting. The other bad thing is that the opening for the micro-USB port is a little smaller than it should be.
Other than that, it's an amazing case. Very protective, sleek, doesn't collect dust, and looks good!
I'm thinking about buying the Body Glove custom fit case, which is a hard-shell case covered in soft-touch coating. At Wal-Mart for $16. Just to try it out.

Didn't see much good reviews on the body glove case.
Free case is good, but more than that I'm willing to pay of a case that will protect my $500 phone
My brother uses a Casemate Tough Case. As a rough-and-tumble kind of guy, he didn't even want to get a case for his phone until I made him, lol. So far he's dropped his phone numerous times with the case on and, I quote him, "It just bounces!. It's a pretty bulky case but if you're looking for protection, I'd recommend it.

I own CM Tough and I'm very satisfied with it,although i don't use it all the time..Dropped the phone 2 times with it on pavement(clumsy me:/) and nothing happened,even the case didn't get any scratches.Also i find it very easy wearing it in pocket,even though it is kinda robust.Compared it to some other case(dont know the brand) and i like CMT more..My vote goes to it.
I'm very satisfied with CM Tough too. It may seem a bit bulky but it still feels pretty good in my hands. It offers excellent protection and looks good too IMHO.

Personally - I prefer this case! I realize it probably doesn't suit your needs, however it suits mine and I figured I'd share what I use.

Holy crap tyrol, Im all for great pics but those are some big ass pics lol. Either host them somewhere or upload a smaller pic bro. I had to scroll to the right to view the pics bigtime. Some of us view these forums on our phone/netbooks/tablets!

I don't like the handling of this kind of cases as well. But I must admit it is of excellent quality and will add some extra nice look and feel to the build quality of any black One S.
Iphone users seeing you with this combination in your hands will turn around and keep a respectful distance of 1000m to you. lol
I've been looking forever for a high high quality case that looks good....a case like specks or spigen something in that nature. I don't want a cheap eBay case..I want a premium feeling case...any suggestions or pointers...

I lol'ed about the color reeking. My wife has that exact case and I can't stand looking at it. . I don't recommend the Trident though. The silicone under-layer is a loose fit, so one of the corners on the outer-layer hard shell has a tendency to dig itself under the silicone where the micro usb port is. I always end up taking the shell off and putting it back on to fix it. Annoying.
As for me, I'm using casemate tough. It's not going to win any beauty contests, but it works as advertised. It gives really great protection, fits perfectly and adds a lot of grip to the phone. It's only weakness I would say are it's boring looks. Kind of reminds me of a tire.

Yes the Seidio cases will have kick stands apparently. Unfortunately for me, I love their phone cases without.

Nothing yet in my searches recently. And Seidio IMO is the best kickstand available. But I would also want an option for a Surface or Active case without the kickstand. I have a tablet to view stuff. I have the Seidio Active case for my Senny and I use that case for travelling so it works out on flights, but other than that, I find no use in the kickstand.

Just an FYI; they usually produce a case right after their kickstand case without the kickstand. they did this for the GNex and I'm willing to bet they'll do this for the N4.

I hope you're right. Thanks for the info. I was starting to look elsewhere because I dislike the kick stand.
P.S. My only other wish is that we have the option of a non holster style cover. It makes it to bulky in a handbag & a lot of us girls have no use for the holster.
The Poetic case doesn't exactly have a "kickstand" but it will allow the same functionality.. semi-wallet too
