Just wondering if there was any progress being made on figuring out how to root the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant. Anybody know if a fix is being worked on and if so what the ETA is?

Really? Not to sound like a hardcore n00b or nothing, but I've tried every method out there and nothing has worked. If you've got a solution id love to know where you found it.

Call 611 and tell them you want it replaced. I did it and schmoozed a bit. They sent it next day air.

I also can't boot into recovery using the buttons, but I've heavily modified my phone. Please explain how you're unable to root your device.

is it possible to have gmail gapp like on honeycome, i would like to have gmail with a view like the mail app from samsung.
i dont use the mail app from samsung because it slower to fetch than gmail app
By the way the gmail is a push mail. It's work just like blackberry.

You can use Market Enabler (freely available from Market) to download apps not supported by your carrier
Yup. I updated using market access apps. Now got gmail 2.3.4.1.

Hi. I've tried download several times via 3G media files like mp3. It is not fully downloaded and it says download complete. Giving me a htm file instead. I wonder what could have caused it. A friend of mine got it working flawlessly without any problem at all. Im using a galaxy s2 and is he . I post it here because i used to have a same problem with my previous android phone, galaxy s.
