Both of these come out of the Hero GSM forum, but they are proven to work for us too. These are the same theme, you just have a choice about which way you apply it: MetaMorph or flashable .zip
MetaMorph Method
Original Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864931
Just follow the directions in that thread, and you will be good to go. I have tested those, and they work just fine. The obvious advantage there is that you can choose what features you want. Note, this will not work for people running aospMOD because the theme needs the ability to change the font color. This is allowed in the CM roms and not in aospMOD.
Flashable .zip Method
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864451
After you apply the .zips you like from that, you might want to apply this MetaMorph: http://www.mediafire.com/file/d9j2fiddrg0gq9y/Gingerbread_CM61_Visual_Fix.zip (credit to BlaqkAudio for this). It gives you more accurate signal strength, although it isn't necessary for the theme to work.
Finally, you are going to want to apply the Status Bar tweak. To do that click menu > Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > User Interface > Tweaks Extras > Select a theme > gingerbread. Let it apply, reboot, and you are done!
Apparently, there is an issue after installing the .zip version of this theme, the Roaming Indicator On text on the lockscreen and notification pulldown. Try reading this post in the Cyanogen forums: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/2225-roaming-indicator-on-htc-cdma-hero/page__view__findpost__p__23422 It worked well for me when I had that issue.
Have fun!
Yes, this is a double post, but I have a question about metamorphs in general that directly relates to this theme. I applied the animations morph w/o knowing what the animations looked like. Now that I know what they look like, I don't like them. I made a nandroid before morphing, but its giving me a md5 mismatch. How do I revert? Is there a stock morph? Thanks for the help I did ask this in the other thread also, just for the record.
EDIT: nevermind, i just reflash CM6.1, and they are all gone. its good now
Won't work for AOSP because you can't change the font color the same way you can with CM.

Good to know. Thanks for that.
Thanks for the heads up. Only theme I have ever used, looks really good overall.
Dang, would love this on aosp!
theme updated to 1.3.1. individual zips for each part, froyo animation revert packages, fix tab bugs, fix font location.
a question someone might know the answer to: is it possible that we could apply the .zip that is the base of this metamorph theme? id much rather have the full theme, considering its much easier to apply. but i dont know, its in the gsm hero forum, would that mess up stuff for us? i dont wanna try it, if you didnt get the hint. even with a nandroid.
We may need someone to create a signal fix for this, since CDMA signal strength is different from GSM signal strength.
EDIT: Also, does anyone have screenshots to show what notifications look like? For instance, when I applied the CM Black stock theme, the standard signal, battery, etc icons didn't look that great. I was wondering what stock SMS, email, etc notifications would look like.
I flashed the update zip mentioned in the post with no gsm-cdma horror story. I did have to manually change the clock color, and I don't think the zip changes widgets, but I still have the bar, pop ups, and a working phone.
**Edit, got the notification bar text and clock fixed, by selecting the correct xml in ui tweaks
I just applied this and it's super slick. Here's a "signal fix" I quickly whipped up: http://www.mediafire.com/file/d9j2fiddrg0gq9y/Gingerbread_CM61_Visual_Fix.zip

Yup. It isn't really necessary unless seeing zero bars bothers you.

"KrispysGingerbread_1.3_Animation.zip" contains the gingerbread-style animations metamorph and you should put that in the "AndroidThemes" directory on your sdcard as well. This package also contains a metamorph with the original Froyo-style animations in case you want to go back.
Do not like the font that's included, installed this font with Type Fresh and boy is it a huge, huge improvement:

thanks for providing that, it looks AMAZING.
I used to use it the other month, but stopped because it seemed like a update to Titanium broke it a bit (in the program, some letters would appear as boxes), so I changed back to default, and forgot all about it until flashing this theme, and deciding to give it another shot. So far, definitely hasn't broken anything for me. It's almost like the font that comes with this theme, but bolder I suppose? Definitely more spacing in between the letters and isn't as hard to read, that's for sure.

well, it works well. thanks for the resources. i actually once tried that with my old samsung moment, when i actually had ubuntu 10.10 running, but i have since then gotten my hero and switched completely to windows. needless to say, it didnt work, like most other things on the moment haha.

i'm on CM 5.0.5.3 and every single time i do a morph that changes the services/framework it removes the custom trackball colors and forces it to be white.
Even though the option is still in the menu, no matter what color i change it to, it stays white.
One one morph, it also screwed up SMS popup making it light up white first, before the custom color.
I would really love to use the custom statusbar i made but being unable to change the color is a huge turn off for me.
So does anyone know how to fix this?
*edit*
these were the two morphs i used and got the same issue both times:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6029657&postcount=4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6155781&postcount=20
So there is the wrong framwork in the theme.
In framework res is it for the trackball colours and metamorph brings it new.
yeah thats what another person just told me. So how exactly can i fix/get around this?
I don't know.
One of your posted ones is from me.
The Problem on the cyanogen rom is, that there are three or four different fremaworks.
One with trackball lit, one with the percentage of battery, one with both, one with nothing.
For me as a MCR User it is too much work to get it all on so much different ROMs.
At second is the problem, that the new cyanogen classes.dex isn't properly themeable.
So I think, it will not work.
Sorry. If anybody has a good idea, please share it!
so basically there seems to be no way to fix this. So the only way i get a blue trackball is to have not use any theme. that ****ing sucks.
Be aware of morphs that include a classes.dex file next time. If one does include it make sure you know what mods have been made before applying that part of the morph/apply-all.

so is it the classes.dex or the framework xml files that are causing this?
Honestly all i want is to have a black bar with working trackball. i don't know why this seems impossible on cyanogen.

It's not impossible, You would just have to get a themed update.zip that has it all included. Metamorph for the notification bar will not be the best due to the issues you have found! Biggest reason why i use metamorph is because i like combining all kinda of images, including some i make myself into my own theme.
So i flashed that and rebooted. Nice blue trackball. Then opened up my morph and erased everything except the images and morphed that. And now it's perfect. white text where it's suppose to be, colors looking perfect and my custom theme ontop of it.
Never thought of just morphing the images i wanted over a flashed theme lol. Works pretty good. thanks for helping me figure this out.
Desire notification bar works too, and it looks better than the other blacks.

Whenever working with .jar, I find it is best to flash those in recovery that have been made from the specific ROM you are using, so that you get all of the features from it. I leave metamorph up to just doing images, since it is easier and compatible with more ROMs that way.
4/21
One of the problems with flashing these batteries is that when you apply a theme via the Theme Chooser app, it replaces the battery at the levels contained in the theme causing your battery indicator to appear to have multiple personality disorder. I have edited the 2 stock themes, Androidian and Cyanbread, so that you can apply either yet still retain my battery mod. The theme will still apply like normal, it just won't touch the battery. I've made 3 separate downloads so you can choose to replace either of the built in themes or both.
Flash in recovery
Androidian-no_battery.zip
Cyanbread-no_battery.zip
Androidian&Cyanbread-no_battery.zip
4/18 CM7-STABLE
SmoothC is a gradient style of the original C. SmoothGreenGradient is the same as SmoothC execept that it starts at green instead of blue for the progression and does NOT contain any blue. SmoothF is not a matte finish like the original F, but it does follow the same color progression. It IS NOT a gradient style so color change is abrupt. 100-50% is green, 30-49% yellow, 15-29% orange, 14 and below is red. All have my most detailed charging animation I've ever made, which is *very* smooth. I made these 100% from scratch (no templates) and I know they are the smoothest circles you will find (in this resolution anyway).
As always, have a recent nandroid and flash in recovery:
CM7-N1_final-SmoothC.zip
CM7-N1_final-SmoothGreenGradient.zip
CM7-N1_final-SmoothF.zip
GENERAL INFO
-These are flash update only.
-If your rom has a toggle for battery percentage, turn it OFF. The images have percentages built in and there's a separate image for each percent.
-Always have a recent nandroid backup available should you have an issue. That goes for anything, not just my mods
If you like the work, or I've been able to help you with other stuff, don't forget the thanks button at the bottom, or there's that other thanks button on the left under my name

Also, I've rewritten the animation instructions to show an image with the % on it as part of the animation. It will change for every 2% you battery gains in charge. Check it out!

Cool, thanks. I've not tried anything from CM since I first rooted and that was RC1. I just totally love the enom build and haven't wanted to leave it.
A little later, I will flash CM and see what I can find out.
I previously flashed a super circle. Mod from enoms site and it came with these cool status bar icons similar to the one on the desire forum version A. If I flash your version C will it get rid of these icons.... thanks. Great job pendo........

Yes, it will get rid of them. Whenever you flash one of these mods, it will completely replace your current status bar. The only way I know of that would keep what you have is a morph, but that doesn't seem to be compatible yet. I think it could be possible, though if metamorph were changed to recognize the resources and new id's in my framework-res.
So short story is, if you have your bar just the way you want, you'll have to send me your framework-res and I can rebuild it with which ever version you want. Then I can make sure all custom icons that you want get in there.
The Manup version above has every themed icon included with the prethemed rom.....so to the end user, it looks like the only thing I changed is the battery, but in reality it's a whole new framework-res..
Can this be flashed onto the stock N1 rom?
thanks a lot pendo...for now I'll just stick with the super circle mod I have even though I love yours....

OK...sorry guys. I'm still learning stuff and mess up. I tested it by adb push on my phone before I posted...I must've kept the same signature from the manup version. You can either adb push the framework-res file or wait until I can get a new zip. Right now I've just wiped and went back to FRF-91 stock to trouble shoot that version.

are u installing this over a current theme?? are u adding any transparencies in the notification bar? what rom are u using? i've had the gapps FC before with this, but got everything worked out to where everything works perfect now..
I'm guessing CM 6 comes with a theme.. so I'm gonna say yes. I didn't make anything transparent, but I only did settings for part of the notification window.
What sucks now is that I nandroided back to a backup I made earlier today and it made everything like I just flashed CM 6 but LauncherPro kept FCing.. trying to nandroid again. :\
Edit: Can I choose sense icons without having a sense rom? If not, that's probably my problem.

Used this to get the circle battery with CM 6.1 RC1, my only issue is that now it displays a big "Roaming Indicator On" on my lockscreen (where the "Sprint" would usually be), and the roaming triangle is showing up in the taskbar (even though I'm like 98% sure I'm NOT roaming). Anyone have a suggestion of how to get rid of this? Maybe something I did in the process of cooking up the zip? All I want is the stock CM6 pulldown/notification bar with the circle battery, and also have the option to turn off the power control widget in the pulldown.

The issue comes from, I believe the ROM loaded on the site is actually from a GSM, so yeah, uploading the one right from your ROM works wonders.

I did it again and this time I checked the "include icons" and chose G4 blue sense 3D. Again they didnt show up This time what happened was my icons that were blue tinted (running Extremely Blue) turned white. Same stock icons, just white instead of the blue tinted ones. Can I use the sense icons?
Thanks
If it makes a difference I also selected the white notification bar icons as well, H1 DeFrost.
That was it, only chose the G4 blue sense 3D this time and it worked perfect! Now I need to do it again as there are a few I dont care for and would rather have my blue tinted ones, like signal bars
Now I got it looking BAD-A$$!!
Question,
When attempting to modify the Status bar notification I dont get to see the progress I am making. It looks like the Kitchen is supposed to let me see what each mod will look like as I change things, shouldnt that checkered area to the right of status bar mod settings show a preview of what I a doing, while I do it?
EDIT>>>>> Nevermind, I found to click generate at the bottom of page
Thanks
Alright so I redid my phone last night (starting from scratch when I know a little more about this stuff is good ) and tried this again, got the circle battery mod and the status bar icons and it works great!
If it helps anyone, I uploaded my framework this time instead of choosing from the list.
well again, first things first, the CREDITS!!!
Credit goes to rel500 for making this theme...it kicks ass and looks good doing it,
also wanna give credit to anyone who may have helped in making this theme and if im forgetting someone and they see this, tell me so i can add you please...dont like forgetting people!!!
and i would also like to thank bde for teaching me how to do this well...if it wasnt for him, i would not have ported anything...hes the man!!!!

Is CWM 3 red ? Sorry about the dumb question. The glossary doesn't mention version numbers with color of cwm. Maybe they're independent of each other, I don't know.

Yup, what Akellar said.
FYI - all of our CWM recoveries have ended up with red text, there have been 3 versions total (2.5, 2.5.x, now 3.0) any of which work with edify scripts. JT and other individuals have had to take the one released by koush and hack in edits to work with our phones, because the official versions are "broken" in that aspect - so only the ones posted here will work.
What does not work is trying to use CWM 3.0 to flash some of our theme/rom .zips (the ones that didn't already have edify scripts in them) that's where the incompatibility comes into play.
The text is black on a dark blue background making it hard to read. I read somewhere on the forums how to invert that. I 'll have to look that up. Just thought I'd let you know if you want to tweak the rom.

The messaging, SMS app, has dark text. The clock on the status bar on top is missing also. When I enable and disable it in TSM parts they shift over a little but the clock remains invisible.

The clock issue is a known issue with the ROM - it defaults to the same color as the status bar so if you don't set it to a different color - or use a different status bar - you won't see it. Setting the clock color requires a reboot after btw.

bdemartino got me straighten around on the clock issue, and my cwm question for that matter. thanx bdemartino & akeller.
On bdemartino's port on the 2.1 version the indicators (wifi & cell strength) on the top notification bar were colored. Is that changeable or is that part of the TSM settings?

If u ported from vibrant ull have to check to see that the names match, I've had to rename them to get them to port correctly. That goes for 3g and service bar icons at least. I think I noticed that earlier when I threw in that data icon

I was able to fix the mms dark text on dark background issue.
I 7zipped the mms.apk out of the H57 Andromedena Tek and 7zip it back into H57 SoC.
Looks pretty cool! I had to go through and test a few once I proved it would work to find one I liked.
Are we having fun or what? I'm close to digging into bdemartino's guide on porting
themes, to figure out this stuff for myself.
______________________
I dived into the porting guide and figured out the basics. I decompiled the latest SoC from tator and bdemartino's 2.1 version. I picked the colored pngs I wanted out of the original and replaced the monochrome ones.
I found a better colored mms.apk from the crysis pack but didn't care much for the mms icon, to dark, and 7zipped a different one back into the res folder of the mms.apk.
Everything is about where I want it accept for the gps navigation icon is always there in the notification bar even if gps is turn off. I'm going to look at the png names again and see if i missed a blank gps png or something. Any ideas would be appreciated.
***I just 7zipped the 3 pngs from the original back into the drawable-hdpi-v4 folder. Not sure why this fixed it they are smaller tho.***
Thanks so much to the original creators, rel500 & Crysis21 and these guys who did the ports thefunkbot, phillup & BakedTator. A special thanks to bdemartino for the porting guide, his work on the orig SoC and all he does, and all the devs who make this possible. I think thats enough a$$ ki$$ing for now.
UPDATE : Look at OP, works with newest Heinz_57 ROM release!!!

First off I want to give a HUGE thanks to @supergrobi94 who pretty much did all of the heavy lifting for this project. He designed the apks and flashable zips that we are using and gave us permission to modify them for the Verizon variant. His work can be found here: Thread
I've been working with @kevintm78 to get some modified system apps with custom icons and such. I've spent a lot of time to try and alter the icons and spacing to make sure that it looks the way I want on the note 4.
If we decide to work on other themes we'll be posting them here. I'm hoping to get a dark background version of the settings and some darker notifications, but we'll see how it goes since apparently that's pretty hard.
I've attached a few screenshots below to give a taste of what it looks like and you can download it while we work on other themes. The first two are for this mod.
I've tested it on PaulPizz's CPF3 ROM v3.2 and it works fine, but it is based off of the N910F so there may be some bugs. Make sure to do a backup before flashing and understand that you are flashing this at your own risk. I will try to support it, but honestly I'm a little out of my league here. There is a lot of trial and error with the Samsung apks because they make them proprietary. Anyway, Enjoy!

Themes for ROMs with Theme Store: ThemeStoreThemes
Recently I have been enjoying the FullNote7Build2.1 from @chevyrhoads and have decided to make some themes for it. @Shane_Picardo has uploaded a copy of the ThemeSoftware (it's a version behind, but it works) that I've used to create this theme. I've been looking into changing the status bar icons, but I don't have a lot of hope since the file types for the Note7 port have changed again to some proprietary format that I probably won't be able to decode. I haven't touched the icons since I use Nova Launcher with Icon packs, but I have changed many of the system apps to be a darker theme. I've attached the preview images so you can see if you like it (the ones that start with theme). There is a limit to what the theme editor can do, but if there are requests let me know. I'm more interested in AOSP-like themes, but if another idea interests me I'll look into it.
Theme Store Instructions:
1) Download the appropriate apk (Note 7 ports have a different apk than Note 5 or S6/S7 ports)
2) Install apk, but do not apply
3) Navigate to /data/overlays/jsonfiles/trialjson and cut the file with the name of the theme you just installed
4) Paste the file in /data/overlays/jsonfiles/userjson
5) Navigate back to /data/overlays and delete the preferences folder
6) Reboot and apply the theme
7) Enjoy!
Thanks:
@supergrobi94 For Note 4 Files
@kevintm78 For Help With Creating Note 4 Theme
@chevyrhoads For an Awesome Port

Dang, I was wanting to be the first to give thanks, but I've hit my limit for today. Consider this, as the check (thanks) is in the mail. Great job!
Thank a trillion for this. Flashed it and everything seems to be good. Is there anyway to get rid of the data icon when wifi is on? Kinda of litters the status bar with it there.Donation coming to u and supergrobi94's way.

I don't currently know of a way to conditionally remove the icon. I'll look into it though. I actually prefer it there so I know what connection I have for mms and the like.
Well... (?) what does everyone think of the mod?

One thing that I could do is have an upside down signal bar that would change based on your signal (1x=1 bar, 2g=2 bars, 3g=3 bars, 4g=4 bars) right above the cell signal bar so it doesn't take any extra space, but I'd have to remove the up/down data arrows for mobile data. Thoughts?
Also, are there other icons that people want up in the status bar? I can change bluetooth, NFC, alarm clock, and other icons if someone has better suggestions.
Thanks!
Hello @shadeau I was wondering if you could make a complete transparent theme with the wallpaper in your screenshots. One that would make the dialer, settings and messages transparent with the homescreen wallpaper as background in everything? That would be awesome. Also with dark blue fonts. If that is asking too much I completely understand, as I really don't know myself how much time and effort has to go into this. I tried installing the Samsung Theme editor myself with my internet turned completely off before opening it but I still couldn't get it to work. Thanks for your time.

I should be able to do that. Let me look into it. What color do you imagine for the sliders and check boxes (things that are typically a light gray color)?

Okay, so the theme editor won't actually let me specify a transparent background unless it's an image file. Even if I specify a completely transparent image file as a background it just means that you see through to the very back of the app instead of to the background (so you still see black). In short, this won't work as you intended, but if you have a background that you want for every screen I could put that image as the theme background. It might be easier to try to get the program running on your computer though so you can play around with different styles and see for yourself.
If you want help with installing it I can see what I can do to assist. Reply here or PM me if you're interested.

You need to manually add it. Open windows firewall, select advanced settings, select inbound rules on the left, select new rule on the right, select program and click next, find the program in the program path selection area, select block the connection and click next, select all of the things listed for when it should apply and click next, name it something like Theme inbound and click finish.
Repeat the process for outbound rules. Hope that helps.

I would uninstall the program completely, re-download it, and try installing the newly downloaded file. I didn't get that error with either one of my installs. The firewall fix makes sure it doesn't try to get updates. It might help to disconnect from the internet while you're installing it too just to see if it helps.
