[THEME] [Update to 12-17 Roms] Flip_N_Blue [jaybobs cm stable roms] - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

VERSION 1.1 DOWNLOAD BELOW FOR JAYBOB'S 12-17 ROMS
First off I did not create this from scratch, the 3 main themes I used to make this are jaybob's CM6.1 Stable BlackMod (any of his builds should work), thoughtlesskyle's TwoPointTwo Theme and Incognito/Minimal Theme by Retrokid223 (Samsung Fascinate Forum).
Now with all that said, I made this theme to run on jaybob's CM6.1 Stable builds though this should work on stock CM6.1 stable. I have not tested it but will some time today. Also I have not tested on nightlies or AOSPmod. Try if you want but NANDROID!
Installation....
Make NANDROID!
Flash Theme
WIPE DALVIK!!! (if no wipe you will get FC"s)
Reboot System
Enjoy!
The animations are easy to replace if you do not care for them. Take the stock rom and open with 7zip, open another 7zip with the theme, inside the framework folder take the folder called "anim" and drop it in the theme, reflash theme.
I will keep theme updated as jaybob releases rom updates. As far as other roms try the theme porter for now, or thoughtlesskyle has some AWESOME themes for AOSPmod!
I never posted a official thread for a release of a theme, so if I left anything or anyone out please PM me, thanks

+1 to that. Very nice work man. I'm using your Flip_N_Blue over Jaybob's Stable Blackmod & I'm absolutely loving it!

You have to use Launcher Pro, download the image and in Launcher Pro there is a option called "dock background" chose custom and select the dock image. You will find the dock background setting under "appearance Settings".
I got the image from here http://launcherpro.droidicon.com/docks

I did that first, only I pulled it from my phone using adb replaced the xml files in framework napkin(suppose to be apk but it replaced it, kept it cause I thought it was funny...just like gonna = hobnail, wtf is a hobnail haha) n pushed it back on. I tried following the directions but adb wudnt work when I was in recovery so I just did both push n pull when the rom was booted. It worked but force closed everything. See I know how to do stuff but don't exactly know what it is im doing, im good at following directions. I have no clue why clearing dalvik wud make or break this mod, or what it does to begin with, the extent of my knowledge is that it clears dalvik cache hhahah.

Thank you for this theme, love it! Perfect with jaybob blackmod.

I yanked the anim folder from your zip along with the flip-animation.xml and placed them into a fresh aospMod0992. opimized and signed again. Flashed and booted. They work fine in most areas so far.

are there any mods like this that resemble the dx exactly without all the color changes like the red and blacks?
Boot Loop
I've installed this after wiping cache partition, dalvik, and factory data reset in ROM manager and after restoring apps I get a boot loop when rebooting. I have tried this 5-6 times and most recently only installed droid x keyboard without apps, and then not installing anything and still get boot loop. Any ideas what would be causing this?
What kernel and at what clock speed? This might be impacting the bootloop issue...

Asimmons's big theme porting thread Updated 10/25/10!!!(Dark Edge, INexus)

So heres two of the themes I've ported lately.
Backup before you install, there might be minor 9patch issues, you might need to change your cmparts colors!... and please don't complain about something missing.
Soon I'll release a way for just about any theme to be injected into your rom with out have to worry about frameworks, roms and the other issues that arise from theme porting... this will be built off of the script I'm using now. Why not release this script? because its tricky to use and I'm going to make it friendlier to use by putting a gui on it.
These or for cm6 stable.
I take no credit for these themes only the port.
I won't be doing nightlies, but anyones is welcome to use the source to port it to a nightly, just respect the original creators work and give them props.
Further Ports:
As you guys might know I have an Evo now but I'll still stick around and help out my buddies in the Hero forums... so I can't port every HDPI theme, my porting technique isn't 100% but the script does alot of the work. The script literally takes 30 minutes to an hour to run.... so in short I probably wont or can't port every theme out there as is just not possible but some themes port very easy, if one of you guys see and issue with a theme I post here just fix it and repost it cause I won't be fixing it.
INexus:
INexus mdpi port download
INexus OP
Dark Edge UI:
Dark Edge mdpi port download !!!
Dark Edge OP
This has some issues with black texts anyone is welcome to try and fix this, I don't have the time atm to do it myself... unless bribed.
Buufed Rom:
Working on finding the full theme apparently is hard to find around here, either buff theme or Buufed theme.
Screenies:
Later... going to a b-day party.
Inexus looks good so far..just flashed it and no issues yet.. GJ on the port..

Yeah its finished couldn't port the lock screen since the ud rom has a custom one... but the biggest issues is the black text for the dialog. Since my porter only does pngs and the dark edge has white text most of the dialogs can't be read... not sure if I should post as is or make the xml edits myself. Its really time consuming.

send me a link and I'll look, like I said this will port any rom's png over to any other rom. The biggest issue are the 9patch's and the xml edits. xml edits can be gotten around by porting to a rom/theme that is similar but the 9 ptach porting is so tricky and its never 100%, but it does most of the work and if you do see and issue in a 9 patch all you really need to do then is decompile the 9patch and fix the strechies.
DarkEdge going up soon?

[MOD] [Themes] Change Your Animations...AOSP and Jaybob's Build of BlackMod

THEMES ARE IN POST 10 ON THIS PAGE
In the UOT Kitchen it shows we can now change our window animations. I have tried and tried cooking files with no success. I had some spare time today and did a little searching and found THIS thread that shows how do change them without using the kitchen. I chose "Flip" and I dont notice any bogging down from them, its the same as before. Really cool looking too!
Copy N Paste from OP
Below are four new android UI animations created by Stale Bread, these will change how things popup and show on screen.
There are two ways to apply new animations first is Metamorph and second is to manualy copy new animations to your android phone.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqrBF0TE3Qk
End Copy N Paste
I tried the Metamorph method and got FC all over the place, had I rebooted recovery and wiped Dalvik this may not have been the issue. What I did instead was open my themes framework and delete the anim file and replace with the animations I chose, Flip. Rebooted recovery and reflashed my theme and then wiped Dalvik cache, I am using firerats so I had to reboot recovery again to flash FR-boot but all is well FC's are gone and I have new animations!
There all also videos in the original OP to help you select what you like best...

I dont see any reason it wouldnt work. AOSP removes quite a few of the regular animations but by doing this MOD you are just replacing them with different ones.
EDIT....

Just tryed it on AOSP 0.9.9.1 and no go on the animations. However, it is nice to know that even with UOT Kitchen not having the AOSP rom posted in their system as one that works with the kitchen, I was able to get a battery and bootanimation to work.
The site does state that the animations are for the Desire Sense rom Only.
Now, that being said, I have opened the framework on the downloaded UOT package. I personally do not know what I am looking at but if someone wants to take a look at it and see if it can be modified to work with AOSP, that would be great.
Happy Holidays
It won't work using the kitchen for sure, least it hasn't for me. Did you try using the link in my OP? It shows how to replace with Metamorph, what I did was open the file from the kitchen with 7zip, open framework, open the folder named res and scroll down and deleted the whole folder named anim. I then opened the animation I downloaded the same way using 7zip and did a drag and drop of the file called anim, taking the animations and putting them in kitchen framework. Close that out and put your modified kitchen zip on SD and flash, then before boot wipe dalvik. Should work
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
Yep, tried that too. However I am not familiar with creating apk files. Something may have gone wrong when I rezipped the framework file.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
They work just fine on AOSP 9.9.1, or any other version for that matter. Somewhere somehow you are doing something wrong. This is NOT done through UOT KITCHEN! HERE is the LINK that shows how to do this with Metamorph. I did not use Metamorph, I edited the framework apk myself. BUT metamorph does the same, just be sure to boot into recovery and WIPE DALVIK cache or you will get tons of FC's. I am posting a theme I use for AOSP (fLiPAOSPTHEMELS7_signed.zip), TwoPointTwo by thoughtlesskyle. It has some Icon changes plus it has the animations called FLIP. Flash, WIPE DALVIK, reboot/reboot recovery and flash firerats boot if you are using his MOD. Takes a few minutes to boot as you wiped Dalvik. This theme is NOT MINE, it is thoughtlesskyle's TwoPointTwo Theme with some Icons I changed via kitchen Check it out
I am slso posting the theme in the screenies. This is flashed over jaybob's BlackMod 6.1 stable build (FLIPinBLUE theme). I am sure it will work over any of his builds, but not so sure about cm6.1 stable. I did not make any of the 2 themes from scratch, they are mixtures of thoughtlesskyle's TwoPointTwo Theme AND hackahero's port of Incognito Remix AospMod 0.9.9.1.
MAKE NANDROIDS No promise of support as new build releases are posted. These things take a couple hours and with so many ROMs it is nearly impossible to support all of them I will keep jaybob's up to date though, as thats the ROM I use daily

Here is where you can modify battery icons and a whole lot more! You must pull framework apk from your rom and use that at the end of kitchen. Do not use framework supplied by them. To get your framework apk, use a program called 7zip, open your rom (not extract) then drag and drop the framework apk to your desktop. Then upload that through the kitchen. The will give you a flashable file, put that on sd card and flash in recovery

Can you not flash it like I explained to you in the AOSPmod thread? That seems to be the method that works for everyone using the htc hero. Again take rom and remove anim file inside framework apk. Replace with the animations you want. Reflash rom and wipe dalvik before you reboot. If you are using a theme replace anim folder in theme rather than rom.

[Q] Any Gingerbread Themes for aospMod 0.9.9.2?

Havent looked at it, but I'd guess there are just a bunch of apps in it. The ROM is actually bigger than 40 MB, so it's not the whole ROM, probably themed apps.
I flashed HackAHero's theme and it looks pretty good w/ the exception of the black font on the black task bar. I'm not sure if it can be changed or not.

[Theme]Star Wars for LibertyX 1.0

I got tired of there not being any good Star Wars themes for any of the Roms(except R2D2 D2's ports, which aren't really that good IMO). So I gave it a try. This is the first theme i have ever done. So please remember that if its not any good lol. Big props to Mikeyinid for his great theme bases i used to help my novice run at this much easier.
Install Instructions-
Reboot Clockwork Recovery
Mount System
Install zip from sd card
reboot and enjoy.
Also included in theme-
-Pandora Radio with transparent widget
-Black themed keyboard
-black themed market
-Star Wars Ringtones and Notification files(more than just R2 sounds)
-Located inside the Theme zip file is also a Star Wars boot animation and boot logo(they can also be found in system/media folder after installation)- both of which can be installed through Liberty Toolbox, follow their instructions.
-Also inside zip file are some Star Wars wallpapers.

For Droid X running Liberty 1.0. Did you come from another theme? If so install Liberty Rom without wiping data and cash. Then reinstall theme. Sometimes themes can leave things behind that don't play nice with other themes. Always good to start with the base rom then install theme of your choice. Hope this helps.

Good, glad you got it working.
The stuff you mentioned should be in the zip folder, or in the /system/media folder after install. You can use Root Explorer or another file manager to access the system folder. There is a chance i accidentally uploaded the Theme zip that i forgot to put those into, it can get kinda hard to keep it all strait when you are working on hundreds of images in the framework. If you can't find them let me know and i will download the file from media fire and install it myself to see what is wrong. Like i said in the original post, this is my first theme and attempt at moding the framework like this, so please bear with me and I will get it all worked out.
-----Edit-----
I just downloaded the file myself and the images are in the zip folder. You should be able to use Root Explorer to extract the files inside the zip. It will pull them to /sdcard/extracted. Then look in the /sdcard/extracted/system/media folder. If this isn't working for you, you could always copy the file to your PC and use a program like WinZip or camparable(thats what i did to check it for you) and then copy the files to your phone. Hope this helps.
Nice theme, I'm using it now. Thanx for putting Vader sounds as ringtone and notifications good work.

Thanks, glad you like it. I almost went totally Empire/Darkside with the theme, but i had to many good images on file that were Rebel/Lightside. I think I am gonna make a Empire one still, just gonna take a little bit cause i gotta make a lot of the images for the framework from scratch to do it the way i want.
LOVE IT
Thanks man i found everything except the wallpapers . Ok don't know what i did but wallpaper appeared on my home screen . THANKS LOVING IT !!! .
