Using Vignette it gives the option to save to SD but not Ext SD. Sorry if it is obvious but this is my 1st device that has SD and Ext SD.
I have found this problem with some other apps as well (like cube or '3' for music) and I just want to even up the free space between SD and Ext SD. (16gb in both)
I don't really want to install apps2sd unless it works real well and considered a good option.

I have a SGS4G with a 16GB external SD and just the standard fat on it. I just got a new 32GB card and since I have to do copying anyway, I'm wondering if I should take the opportunity to partition it into an ext2 + fat.
As some background I've always been plagued with low space problems on the internal. I've already moved all the apps that I can to the external (fat) with Titanium backup. I'm satisfied with the speed, so thats not a motivation for partitioning to use an external ext2 for the apps instead of the fat.
The only thing that would motivate me is increasing the effective space on the internal.
Does partitioning buy me anything in that direction?
I'm really new with android and haven been messing around with different roms to find the one like best. One of the rom had the option setting to let me decide whether external/internal memory for me to install my apps. Now I am using eaglesblood latest rom 2.3.7 and noticed he doesn't have that setting so I was wondering if there is another way to install to internal memory.

Most, if not all of the custom ROM's allow you to move your apps to your external SD through the Manage Applications menu. If not there, then you should be able to use apps such as:
App 2 SD (move app to SD)
and/or
A2SDGUI - Darktremor A2SD GUI
Both of which allow rooted devices to move application to the external SD card to conserve space.
I tried the two apps you gave me but they both said my apps are already in the internal memory. Idk if this is normal...when I go to storage in settings...there are actually three storage. 1. Is my SD card which is 3.69gb...2. Is internal memory which is only 1.48gb...and 3. Is additional storage: /mnt/emmc and it have 5.21gb...I want to be able to install my apps, especial apps like navigon that requires about 2gb of space for maps into the additional storage.

Some apps, like navigation, market and a few others will not run after being installed on an external storage as they use other files/system resources to operate properly. The only thing you want to store on the SD card is apps that you install that didn't come with the phone. "Most" apps will run from the external storage as they do not require the use of other system files. To sum it up, installed angry birds? Move it to the SD card/external memory. Installed superuser? Leave that on internal memory.
I think the option you are talking about is a feature of CM7 roms. It actually flips your emmc memory to run as external and then your internal memory to be seen as external. I think this is for people with small Rom space but then still have a large internal memory system like the g2x. By flipping it you can have a large main partion so you don't have to worry about apps2sd. It's only in cm7 for what I know but you look up apps2link to see if that might be something similar

I have lots of games (most of them 3D) so I have to download a lot of Data.I tried to move the apps to the sd, thinking it might free up some memory in my internal memory of only 16GB ( I have 32GB external SD card). I quickly found that they apps are not installed in my external sd card!? They are all in my internal sd card (which I thought as my phone memory). I realized that samsung phones have an sd card inside as their memory, so the system can only move from phone to internal sd card.
I am trying to figure out how to move an app to external sd card.
Anyone has any clue??
I had the same problem, never found a solution...
BUT, just move all your music, videos, and other files to your external sd card and the 16gb internal sd card should be more then enough to have all your 3d games on... thast what i do.
Don't forget, there's still 2gb of nand memory in there that holds all the pre-installed apps plus any that you don't move to sd. Personally I keep all my games and 3d apps on the phone memory (tip here, nand is faster than flash) and all the less critical apps on the sd.
Ok after a lot of research I found out that you can't do it without ROOTING!!
After rooting there are lot of apps which can move your apps to external sd.
I am not going to root so I guess I am stuck ...
Thanks Android for such options

Motivation: I've just installed ICS 4.0.4 BCM RC4.1U2 on my HTC Desire, and I am finding I have low internal storage. Browsing around, I found lots of people talking about app2sd, link2sd, app2ext, and need some clarification on them all.
As I understand it:
app2sd is about moving part of an application to the SD card. The application will still take up some space on the internal memory. This is the concept, and apps like app2sd and link2sd do this.
app2ext is about making a partition on your SD card, which the phone thinks is part of its internal memory. To do this, I'll have to format my SD card and install a zip from CWM recovery.
So my questions are:
1 - Is my understanding correct? Have I missed any other big apps or tricks to do with freeing up internal memory.
2 - For app2ext:
- I guess that your phone's speed will then be linked to your SD card's speed. What class of SD card do you need for good performance.
- Is there a limit on how large you can make your virtual internal memory?
- Will applications with widgets work if moved to the ext partition of the memory card?
3 - I was previously on Cyanogenmod 7, and had more free space (only about 70mb was used, as opposed to 110mb now), is this just because I've got the next version along, with more features, so it takes more space?
4 - Is it possible that previous ROMs have left data behind that is eating up my internal memory, is there some way to purge this?
So here I am again with another problem... That I couldn't find any solution for it.
My moto g has 8gb ROM and a sdcard of 128gb formated as internal storage.
Great, almost all apps are installed on internal memory and so is the cached data, for example downloaded musics from Spotify or Google play music, well I hadn't noticed it until today I couldn't update any app because I have no space left....
I found no settings on either the apps or on the storage menu that allows me to select the SD card as preferred storage... The migrate data option on the settings menu wants to move 17gb from the SD to the internal storage (lol).
So anyone with an idea from what went wrong?
Thanks.
I have the same problem. The storage is completely full now, but there's still enough space left on the SD card! The phone is now complaining about limit storage, but there should be more than enough left!
No apps are installing to SD? A lot of your apps aren't going to install to SD plus all the system apps will install to internal.
To move all data and cache to sd...you need to use Link2SD with root access.
Or you could have a look at this, works pretty well for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/adoptable-external-storage-time-t3340551
