[Q] Android device as bluetooth headset? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Is there any apps that enable a android device to be used as a bluetooth headset. Basically so i could then plug in my 3.5 mm 'stereo-plus-mic' headset to my phone, connect the phone to my ps3/computer then be able to use it for gaming or skype without having to buy an extra headset.
I'm not sure if this is possible.
I have a 2.2 rooted desire running RCMixHD v0.14
Thanks
And sorry if this is put in the wrong section.

[Q] Problem about AVRCP in N1

My phone is HD2 and installed the rom New Nexus One Android 2.2 Build FRG33 [ mccm v1.5](8.9.2010)
I found that i just couldn't use the buttoms on my bluetooth headset when im enjoying music.
what should i do with this problem?
thx for ur help!
I get this problem occasionally when I link my N1 w/ my car stereo. The controls don't work etc and it's not in audio streaming mode (ie. it's probably only using the Phone bluetooth profile and not the stereo audio profile as well). What I usually do is go into bluetooth settings, long click the device, and uncheck the bluetooth profiles. Then I recheck those profiles and reconnect the device. This usually fixes it. Of course, your problem could also be related to this HD2/Android hackery...

[Q] Best car audio deck with Android phone?

Hi
I'm trying to buy an after-market car audio deck/receiver. After having spent a few hours at a car stereo shop, nothing I saw there seemed to work 100% with my Android phone (Samsung Vibrant running 2.2 custom froyo).
My first pick was an Alpine IDA-X303 which is intended for iPhone/iPod but has USB input, so I tried with my Vibrant with no joy either in mass storage or media player mode. The deck doesn't support BT so moved onto the CDE-103BT. On that one, it pairs with BT but supports only phone function and no BT audio. It picked up the Vibrant over USB but reported back "no files" yet I had placed mp3s in root of both internal and external sd. So despite it having USB and BT, it would be down to mic jack. I looked at a few other Alpines and they seemed to all have some sort of brutal shortcoming like these when connected to my Android.
I tried a JVC and the USB worked as expected, although track information didnt get displayed on the deck. And I perused the Sony's but really, I was after an Alpine and ultimately I want BT audio with the USB option just to charge if needed. Nice to have is support for streaming apps eg Grooveshark and Subsonic.
So I thought I would ask fellow XDA'ers: Has anyone had success with their phone over BT audio (or even just USB) with a car deck and not suffered major shortcomings? Can anyone recommend a car deck, Alpine or not, that supports BT audio properly and whether it works for streaming apps or what solutions people have found for running this combo? Whats the best deck out there right now for supporting music on Android?
Thanks!!
I'm looking at these head units with some features in addition to Bluetooth version 5.0

[Q] HELP! A2DP Toggle on Droid 2, 2011, NEW

So I recently got a jawbone era bluetooth headset, and UNLIKE the Droid 1, the Droid 2 (which is the only phone I have now) cannot handle a hard-wired i.e. 3.5mm connection through the headphone port AND an A2DP headset at the same time, or at least not very well...
The issue is this, I want (like I use to do with my Droid 1) to plug my phone, and thus the music player on it, into my car's speakers via the headphone jack and STILL have my bluetooth headset on. When I exit the car, it'd be nice if the phone would then play the music on the headset when the headphone jack's connection is unplugged, so that means not having to manually turn the "Media" support for the bluetooth headset on or off all the time, "Media" being the A2DP if I understand that correctly.
There use to be an app, or more precisely a widget for that, but went out of commission after the 1.6 OS was upgraded. I've rooted my phone and tried to get that app working, but no luck. I can get into the options, but not the widget itself.
So, oh talented developers and gurus, I'm hoping for a solution of some kind, and as far as I'm concerned, there are a few different possibilities...
1) Some kind hearted soul will update the A2DP toggle widget for 2.2 (soon perhaps?)
2) There might be some Music app or other app out there that will accomplish the same thing, either automatically (would be nice) or manually (not as nice, but acceptable).
3) There might be a ROM out there with Droid 1-like support for the automatic switching A2DP/headphone jack...
Basically, I'd like a one or two 'click' toggle for the bluetooth 'Media' (aka: A2DP), or an automatic solution.
Anyone have any ideas?

[Q] Use android device as a bluetooth headset?

OK.. so first question you are probably asking is WHY??
I am looking to build an in-car computer with one of those little android computers, touch screen monitor, all hooked up to an amp and then my standard car speakers..I want to then use this to take calls from my Samsung S2 and also playback music.
So what I am trying to find out is if it is possible to get android to act as a headset / audio playback device? Have looked around but found nothing helpful. Any thoughts??

Android device as speaker for other android device (phone)

Hi,
I know this might sound strange, but I would like to use a android device as sort of speaker, which I connect via aux to my Radio, for my android phone.
Why:
I have a beautiful Nokia 8, without root since its not possible. I still would like to use Viper4Android so I must do something creative.
Also I have a nice car sound system + bluetooth/aux radio which I would like to enjoy.
As some of you know the Viper4Android software makes music a lot better than default. To enjoy this I have to use my old rooted device in the car.
That works okay, I can play music and enjoy Viper4Android. However, I need to copy files to this device. I cannot easily stream from internet (because my root-less phone has a simcard and internet) and Flitsmeister or Navigation does not stream to speakers (since I also do this on my root-less phone).
So now I would like to use this rooted old phone as Viper4Android a speaker/ audio relay or whatever you can call it.
Is there software for this? I could not find anything yet, but maybe I use the wrong search terms or just don't know the existance of a nice program which can do this yet.
So my wished/ideal situation:
Rooted old phone with Viper Audio, no simcard , in car. Connected via aux to radio.
And when I enter the car, my daily used Nokia 8 phone connects via Bluetooth or wifi to this phone, detect it as audio device/speaker and plays the music or other phone sounds over this old android device to my radio.
I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.
