Custom Lockscreen: Centered Style & Custom Background for CM 7
[Tested on current 24/03/2011 nightly - passion]
I made 2 versions:
Version I.) CustomLockscreenX_morph.zip: Centered with a custom background
Version II.) CustomLockscreenX_tr_morph.zip: Centered with transparent background, which you cannot change
So you decide which to apply and enjoy!
---------------------------------------------------------------
How to Version I:
---------------------------------------------------------------
1.)
- put "CustomLockscreenX_morph.zip" in /sdcard/AndroidThemes/
- apply with MetaMorph
now you have a custom centered lockscreen background
]
2.) How to change your new custom lockscreen background:
- put "CustomLockscreen_my_morph.zip" in /sdcard/AndroidThemes/
- apply with MetaMorph
now you have your own custom lockscreen background
3.) How to make your own custom lockscreen background:
- exchange "default_wallpaper.jpg" in CustomLockscreen_my_morph.zip with your own (same size & jpg)
- put "CustomLockscreen_my_morph.zip" in /sdcard/AndroidThemes/
- apply with MetaMorph
now you have a your own custom lockscreen background

.

very very very nice! Will try that.... the seperate lockscreen background was always something i liked about miui and now we have it for cm -->

Aha, so the lockscreen wallpaper is always default_wallpaper.jpg
I noticed this happen on my phone and didnt know why lol.
Does this always work? Right now I have a custom default_wallpaper.jpg in the .apk and the lock screen does not use it and uses the wallpaper instead.
Note that it was set in framework-res before I flashed the nightly.
edit: It cant be translucent as its a JPG, I wish it was a PNG

what did you actually change in the framework.apk?
I'd like to know, so i can apply it on my modded framework.apk... Plus i'd like to use it withe the niegtlies....
So what did you change in the framework??

yeah i know, but it can't be the only thing.... otherwise we all would already have had a different lockscreen wallpaper......(the green gras wallpaper....)
Another file got moddded, must be some xml file...
BTW: i found the file, it's in layout....
Trying to apply... will see.
But still don't know what got modded in that xml file....?

And feel free to post some nice lockscreen backgrounds

Holy crap you are GOOD! I have a question, could we use PNGs instead of JPGs? Would there be any conflict issues?

Yes that's true. The Morph only changes the default wallpaper in framework/res/drawable hdpi.
Only applying the morph will result in nothing.
In order to have a lockscreen wallpaper as well as a "normal" wallpaper, the keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml in framework/res/layout must be modified so the default wallpaper in framework/res/drawable hdpi will show as lockscreen wallpaper.
What i don't get is what has been changed in the keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml file.
So rori can you please tell me what and how you modified that xml file?

Tried it and lockscreen still doesnt have its custom bg

You need to flash CustomeLockscreen.zip first in recovery, reboot then apply the morph and then reboot again. It should work that way.
Alternatively youn can modify your framework.apk and replace the file i mentioned one post earlier....
BUT i advise you to flash the zip file....

[Morph] Cyanified Theme - Beatiful Stock theme with Cyanification... Update June 22nd

Hello All!
Here is my first theme for metamorph - Cyanified, updated to version 1.2. I have been wanting cyanification, but with all stock icons as the base... I didn't see any themes that fit the bill.
This will work on Stock Froyo (tested), and should work on any rom. It does not adjust services.jar, only images inside the framework-res.apk. You will need the lastest (xml) version of Metamorph, this will not work on the older .thm version of metamorph. It should also work if you are using a dark header bar, as I do not adjust the header images at all.
To go back to your original icons, you can flash your rom (without wiping).
To Do:
Finish up the .9png's. I've done a lot of them, but there's a lot more to do to get this themed fully.
Make some changes to Launcher2.apk for those using the stock launcher or who have moved their favorite launcher to /system/app/Launcher2.apk
Custom keyboard for HTC IME
Dialer adjustments (possibly)

Here's some shots of it with the LeoFroyo 0.4.1 rom, which has a black header as default:
I'm not providing any header options (neither black no transparent), you'll have to find a theme or mod, then apply this morph. As always, be sure to do a nandroid before making any major changes.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Simply download the file below, extract it on your computer, move the extracted "cyanified" folder to "Android Themes" folder on your sdcard, and choose the .xml file in metamorph to apply it. It will cause a reboot since it is adjusting framework-res.
CHANGELOG:
v1.2 - Minor change to cyanified.xml, simply fixes an error upon applying (theme still works in v 1.1)
v1.1 - Completed .9.png files in the framework-res folder
Any suggestions or critiques welcomed!
Yes why not I'm interested ....
Thanks .
This looks awesome, do want.
I too would love a theme like this one.
Cyanogen has my heart. <3
...okay, that was a bit much.
Ok, I've uploaded version 1~
Enjoy!!
I've just uploaded version 1.1, now fully themed within framework-res. Enjoy! Will post more photos soon!
Is it possible for you to make a file for metamorph that just changes the lock screen? I like the whole theme, but i want to just use the cyan colored lock screen for now.
I need to root to do this rite

Just unzip the file, open up framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi/ and delete all the files you don't want to change.
So you'll be left with only these (I think this is all of them)

I guess you'd have to apply a theme or rom with the black status bar, and then apply this morph. You'd want the clock font to be white, and if you are on stock froyo that won't be possible.
I just switched to the LeoFroyo rom which has a black statusbar option, I'm going to test this morph on it and post some pictures.

i deleted all the other png's other than this one, and re-zipped. I am getting control errors so I uninstalled metamorph and reinstalled the newest from the market. Then I renamed the xml file to the same name as the zip file (saw in another thread to do this) and I am still getting control file error. Also reduced delay to ~2500, no go. Any ideas?
thx

Don't rezip. Just delete the files you don't want, then upload the folder to Android themes. Don't change the name of the xml file.

Circle/custom battery, custom smileys, custom bootanimation for DHD 1.32/1.72

Hi friends,
If you want to have nice custom batteries as they are seen below - or smileys or bootanimation -:
First pull the framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ (only for custom battery icons)
there are two ways, you can find them here:
http://circle.glx.nl/how_to/
than:
1. Open http://circle.glx.nl/
2. Choose version. There are 4 options today (22/11/10):
a)SCB with %, Version [A-I] (you can choose whole themes)
b)SCB with %, Version Z, Custom type, colors (you costumize what you want to get)
c)Flashable zip only (if you have the framework-res.apk what you want to flash)
d)No battery, theme only
3. Choose or make your battery icons. (only a,b,c)
4. Decide if you want emoticons. Status bar icons doesn't work with DHD.
a)Do not include icons - No emoticons and status bar icons
b)Themed icons sets - You choose wich pack you like
c)Custom uni-color icons - You choose a color, and you get the status bar icons in this color
5. If you chose b or c, than you make your icons.
in b) you need to check the "include icons" to have them. To choose use the "preview" link.
in c) you choose color and generate the icons
6. You just click next, as the Status bar notification editing is only for the Desire.
7. If you want to have a new boot animation
a) find the place of your current bootanimation.zip (you can do it in your ROM's zip, for ex.)
b) Select place for bootanimation
c) select desired animation
8. Set Select ROM you use to Desire HD ROM, then next.
9. Choose your framework-res.apk, click next.
It will upload it and generate the flashable zip file.
10. Click download.
11. Boot into recovery.
12. Make a backup!!!
13. Flash the zip you downloaded.
14. Reboot.
15. Enjoy it
If you want to change a CM7 battery, than you should see this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964280
And this way you can get something like this:
{

few app has an .odex file and an .apk
the de-odexed ROMs don't have the .odex files
if you take a look at Pay's ROM or LeeDroid's ROM, you'll find something like this:
-Full De-odexed
in the features.
Make a backup, flash a deodexed ROM and flash the custom battery and smileys
It's not possible to de-odexed the default rom ?
framework-res doesn't have a .odex file. I believe this is because HTC allow us to download skins from their website and they overwrite files in the framework-res.apk
Are you making sure to select Desire HD rom in the kitchen?
Yeah absolute i make the procedure twice
as I know deodexing is a requisit for theming
and of course it is possible to deodex a stock ROM, but believe me, the guys with the custom ROMs make a lot of tweakes what you shouldn't miss : )

{THEME} Decked out Blues - Theme Chooser Theme

The wait is officially over!!!

For those who are unaware, myself and MrDSL have teamed up to create what we hope will become the most comprehensive Blue theme on earth. Keep in mind that this is the initial release and over the coming weeks we will be adding thousands-tens of thousands of graphics and XML tweaks. For right now, until this thread is updated and stating so, this theme will work on any device with hdpi resolution. Originally, this was developed for the Evo, but in the not-so-distant future, we ought to update it to be compatible with ALL resolutions (mdpi, ldpi and xhdpi)
Custom project requests can be PM'd.
For those wondering where this came from, I had been a huge fan of MrDSL's mixxer theme since CM6, but wanted to do a blue theme. As luck would have it, I have experience in Graphics Editing and MrDSL is a master with the T-Mobile theme engine. So, we combined our efforts and the blue glory below is the end result.
Without further adieu, we proudly present an original version and a hybrid that will be the coolest thing you've ever seen for Deck's!!!
The first is below and simply needs to be installed and chosen in Theme Chooser and the second is a MrDSL special and he will explain how to do it.
In the Theme:
Go Launcher EX fully themed stock theme
settings
framework
systemUI
music
Shootme
email
App Icons
I know missing some, but I'm exhausted and just download, install and choose in theme chooser and have your socks blown off.
Decked out Blues!!!
Decked out Fancy Widget Clock skin
- extract the zip and place the folder that the images are in, in /SDCARD/Android/data/fancywidgets/clockskins then choose in Fancy Widgets
Decked Out Blue Go Widgets
- if you have problems installing this, uninstall the transparent theme after clearing the app's cache and data, then install this.

Lockscreen and Reboot menu
Now we have the Lockscreen and Reboot menu. This is NOT a flashable zip. You need to use metamorph or zipthemer from the market to apply this mod because its not supported by the theme engine.

This mod is a bit more difficult..Its the ICS Statusbar Layout by ZduneX25. I got rid of the carrier label so it would work with the theme. Below I will include flashable zips for Decks 1.3 and Decks 1.3d. I have tested both and they both work fine.
Its very important you follow these instructions when installing
1.) Flash ics_patch.zip and reboot ( you will probably get fc's and your statusbar may not even load..this is normal just let it load then reboot back in recovery
2.) Now flash ics_undo.zip and reboot and load.
3.) Go into recovery and flash ics_patch.zip again and reboot and it should work fine now.
it looks awesome!!! i've been refreshing my page for this lol, good work guys
this is awesome! Thank you!!!

[THEME/MOD] MiniDarkTheme 15 TOGGLES B&W and Green Versions (LQ3 and previous ICS TW)
4.0.4 LRK VERSIONS THREAD LINK
THESE ARE MINI DARK THEME LQ3 AND PREVIOUS VERSIONS ONLY TO GET TO THE NEW THREAD CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW
This is not a framework theme, so It will not make any changes on your framework-res.apk so that means that whatever rom you are using you will keep having framework just as your Rom Dev tweaked It
You have to delete systemui.odex in order to make it work on STOCK roms
Features:
-15 TOGGLES BY CRISKELO
-TWO DIFERENT COLOR COMBINATIONS x TWO DIFERENT CLOCK POSITION MAKE....TADAAAA! 4 STATUS BAR THEMES
-B&W WILL DELIGHT THOS WHO SHOW OFF THEIR ELEGANCE, CLEAN INTERFACE, NO TEXT, JUST ICONS, THE ONLY COLOR IS IN BATTERY TO HELP YOU NOW IF IT'S GREEN (OVER 15%) OR RED (UNDER15%)
-GREEN, FOR THOSE THAT LIKE A COLOUR TOUCH WHILE NOT WILLING TO SUFFER EPILEPSIA CAUSED BY CRAZY TOGGLES, THIS ICONS LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON AMOLED SCREEN
THERE ARE ALSO TWO PACKAGES ADITIONAL:
-MINITHEMETRINEVIZEDPACK!! WICH WILL BRING YOU SOME OF THE SELECTED S3 MODDED APPS TO MAKE YOUR DESK LOOK EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL AND OF COURSE BEAUTIFULL CAMERA.APK BY KALAGAS CREDITS TO THE THEMING MASTER!!
-S3_TWLAUNCHER_3.0 MODDED BY ME TO MAKE OUR S NOTE LAUNCHER LOOK LIKE NEW S3 LAUNCHER WITHOUT THE KNOWN LAGG ISSUES WE ALL HAVE SEEN ON S3 LAUNCHER WHEN SCROLLING TO THE LAST SCREEN.(ALSO INCLUDED IN THE PACK)
For themers/devs/amateurs like me
These files have been all compiled and signed properly and can be decompiled and recompiled without problem, feel free to use the things I made, to use any other devs ask them permission
Links to recovery flashable zips
MiniDarkTheme B&W RightClock
MiniDarkTheme B&W CenterClock
MiniDarkTheme Green RightClock
MiniDarkTheme GreenCenterClock
MiniThemeS3+KalagasCameraPack (this does not include status bar and toggles mod so flash the one you want together with this if you want It)

S3_Modded_TWLauncher30
This should not be harmfull, I have tried myself all the mods, but flash at your own risk. I am not responsible for anyone's phone
If you wont to go back just flash your ROM over again

How to revert back to the previous notification panel?
Perhaps you should make a note in the op that this will not work on stock lpy. Tried it & systemui forced close. :-(

Sorry, would you mind explaining/expanding on this? Would I flash the zip in recovery, then in recovery delete the systemui.odex?
I know I need to learn more. I used to be lazy & use uot kitchen to make my own mods - but since updating to ICS the stock framework res file is bigger than the max upload size on the site - so guess I need to learn more!
MiniDarkThemeReloadedGreen...awesome mini theme. My GNote look handsome and gorgeous now..hehe
Keep it up man..You the bos

Use root explorer or any other file explorer that allows you to write over system folder and just remove the file from your phone , and I woul recommend you to use Rocket Rom. The closest to stock just slightly tweaked for performance and gorgeous battery life

You should have asked before flashing, sinsce I asume you do not have a backup of your systemUI.apk you will have to flash the whole LP9 Rom to go back to Stock

Wow that's great thanks for the info it worked! Awesome transparent pull-down now & loving the extra options!
Now say I wanted to change the icons (i.e. I like digital battery theme). Do you know, would it simply involve using a program like 7zip to just go in & swap the images? Or would I have to recompile & sign the zip & stuff?

IT would work if you choose the right pngs and change their names to match exactly the ones in the apks and if they are same size , I have not decompile anything. I am waiting for eybee197p to help me with that. But even without decompiling and recompiling It works OK

Thanks will give it a try...
This is probably because I'm using stock, but the iPhone-style clock ( )in the middle of the status bar is interfering/overlapping with status bar notifications. Like I just updated a market app & when I got the status bar "app successfully updated" it overlapped with the clock. Any fix?

Not from me, it is the price you have to pay for having it centered. Not a problem for me though. XML editing is on devs. I only do Photosop and a lot of hours thinking how to fit everything

Screenshots:
Install:
Flash with CWM or extract then copy and replace each file. After reboot set GreenGlow as the Phone theme for the theme accent colour to display.
Download:
GreenGlow.zip [43.81mb]
Restoring:
If you want to restore back to stock files, this zip will replace every modified file in the GreenGlow.zip
Restore.zip [43.07mb]
Please Note:
I love this colour so it is the only one I'll ever work on, if someone wants to colourize every modified png then feel free, all I ask is that you post your work back here in this thread and I'll happily add it to the OP. I appreciate many of you use tabs in your notification window, I don't, so you will either need to sacrifice them or modify your own SystemUI which I will happily assist you with where needed.
Dialer and phonebook are still white, otherwise all great.

Thanks. You need to decompile the stock and modified SystemUI apks, replace the navbar.xml from the layout folder in the stock SUi with the one in the modified SUi, and remove the line...
Code:
<item type="id" name="newmenu">false</item>
...from the ids.xml in the values folder. You can grab a folder with everything you need to be able to mod from [Guide/Reference] The Basic APK & Theming Thread...
thx, i'll try
and, how can i keep 2 tabs in Notifications?
