BW is a program you get from the Market, cost US $1.97. Then copy the files in the rar to your SDcard "\data\beautifulwidgets\skins".

Which widget clock are you trying to add to your screen. There are 3 or 4 in the rom. If you are speaking of BW, see above statement.

Thanks, glad to hear that you came over to the darkside of Android. Can't you just feel the force. my bad! Still cooking the final TP2 rom before leaving it behind for good. So if you still have your TP2, there will be new posted rom(s) sometime today.

Like I said before, alot blue. But will be adding more colors to this rom as time goes on. As I said many times in my TP2 thread, I welcome feedback from the users. Working together is what will make this rom a great one. The direction this rom will take in theming al depends on what you, the user give to me in feedback. The only I will NOT do is, what I have seen on other websites. Text in place of the images icons. Maybe I'm just old and set in my ways, but I don't see the purpose of that.

I flash to DK28 from a custom Dk17, I thought that flashing the DK28 would fix the GPS problem I had in DK17. It didn't, found you need to return to stock DI18 and get a GPS fix then flash to DK28 and GPS will then work great.
Thanks to all for posting and looking forward to building a great rom together.

Thanks for letting us use this!

Thanks, didn't know this was still in the testing phase with Sprint OTA release. Thought this was it till Gingerbread, if the Epic gets it.
i installed the app from DI18 and it flashes Airplane mode on and off and is really slow to check the SD card for updates.
I am kinda a Noob at doing this and think i am missing something on the software end.

Need more infomation to understand what question you have. If you trying to flash Odin 1.6 DI18 then turn your off phone and unplug from PC. Run Odin, put modem.tar in the PDA section and pit file in the pit section. Now plug the usb into your phone, open the keyboard and hold the number 1 while pressing the epic power button. Now you will see a yellow screen, now click start on Odin. If you get that it failed, then start the whole process all over again until it does.
Sorry if this is down and dirty quick answer. But I really did not understand what you were asking. And don't worry about being a noob, we all there at one point or the other. It's taken me 3 months to get up to speed on Android cooking and still have a long way to go.
I am trying to flash using clockworkmod.
Firmware:2.2.1
Baseband
S: D700.0.5S.DI18
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
Build Froyo.DJ29
I am new to this on the epic i had windows phones that i used roms on in the past. I got the first one to work so i played with that for a couple weeks and thought i would try something else today.
So i flashed back to the rom you see above and the phone is back working.

For the Dk28 release work the best thing to do is take your phone back stock with DI18. Read this thread post in this Epic Development section by whostheman. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794138
This is pretty sweet. FYI the voicemail notification in the drop down notification bar is so similar in dark color to the background that it's impossible to read. Other than that, lots of fun to play with!

yes sorry, here's some caps... Also sometimes the gallery goes black when I'm trying to view pics, as it did twice while I was getting the screencaps together.
Is anyone else getting a market issue with this? Apps don't install. I was able to only successfully add install one app then after that all apps show that they go through the DL process but never install.

This is a mod for the lockscreen so that the capacitive menu button is disabled for unlocking. This has been tested on Vanilla Lockscreens, but should work the same on HTC Lockscreens. This also has been tested on 3.29* based sense roms, unsure if it will work with other bases. If you have other fixes (i.e. reboot button change) you will overwrite that. Please post if you need me to upload a fixed version of that. Thanks goto ViRuS for the idea, and brut.all/jesus freke for apktool.
Instructions:
Download flashable zip.
NANDROID NANDROID NANDROID? did i miss something?
Reboot into recovery.
Flash zip and reboot.
That was easy wasn't it?
No more accidental unlockings!
Cookers/Developers: If this does not work for your rom, PM me and i can make individual flashable updates.
Rom users: reply to the thread with the base rom that it does not work on. I can find the base myself and make a list of updates.
Edit: It will take awhile to reboot, because i added a cache and dalvik-cache wipe to the update script.
Added mediafire mirror.

Just flashed on Fresh 3.3.0.1 and it took a while for the phone to reboot but it's working great. Thanks!
Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. This is very, very appreciated.
Would you be willing or be able to get to the bottom of the graphical glitches with the Vanilla lockscreen? I know it's plaguing more than one person, myself included.

Locate the 2.1 fix, and I'll see what i can do.
Here is the page that talks about the fix and has the files, and this is the file itself.
Thank you in advance.
Just found a bug (and a pretty major one). It worked perfectly fine disabling the menu button unlock; however, it also FC'ed the HTC dialer, vanilla clock, and HTC gallery every time I tried to open them. Nandroid was my friend today. Not sure if this will happen with anyone else.

Everything was working fine until I flashed this zip. Maybe I'm just the only one with a stubborn Evo. lol
i have been looking for this for the past few days. a couple of questions before i flash. does it work on stock rooted deodexed with a removed HtcLockScreen.apk? also what .apk have you edited, i have mods made to my framework-res.apk, wondering if they will be touched. Thanks!
EDIT: After flashing on Rooted Doedexed stock rom, it foze on the 4G boot screen. i did a battery pull and tried again... IT WORKS! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

You won't be able to use this hack on the fascinate, you'd have to have one specifically made for your phone i think.

You are correct from what i have seen, also, there is an easier way to do this, also i didn't think the Menu button even did that, sure hasn't anytime i have tried it, or maybe it's because i'm using sense.
I tried to flash this and did not work for me im rooted on evo with no custom rom I just don't like the slider oh and i used unrevoked if that means anything. Im new to this also any suggestions or did I just miss something?
ATM I have two choices: Vanilla Lockscreen with this fix or Reboot Menu. Can you implement your fix with this reboot menu?

I decompiled and compared these two services.jars and could not find common differences to combine and recompile the fixes myself. I don't think you want to give up your secrets and I am not a programmer. Unless you have tips so I can accomplish this myself.

That's also probably why the camera didn't work (just checked min on both epics and they work fine) please, please follow the suggestion of using the pit and modem and using odin to flash before installing the rom, flashing over other peoples roms will always cause an issue or two. I flashed one of my epics over mammons and had a few issues so I odin'd it and the issues were gone.

Gotta flash stock dk17 froyo with all the sprint bloatware, pit and modem, this way viper would not be on your system at all. If viper was still on your system you most likely only flashed the modem...
Not that peple can't easily do this themselves, but it would be cool if the ringtone of the ROM was the superman theme or the batman animated series theme by default.

Has anyone reported high battery usage with this ROM? I have this installed, with one of jt1134's "Built from EC10 source" kernels. So far it has been killing my battery, so much so that sometimes with it plugged in, the charger won't keep up and the battery still goes down. Could be that the battery needs to be calibrated, but I didn't seem to have any issues like that before.
Battery stats show Display is main user of power. I've been doing a lot of downloading, so I'm going to give it a couple of days and see how it goes.

Okay, I finally got my Mez flashed.
I used Odin to apply the 2.2 update from this thread and everything looked good. In fact, all my apps were there! yay.
Then I installed this SC 2.9.2, now my apps are all done and my app drawer has switched from the left/right scroll to the vertical scroll, which I hate.
Did I do something wrong, and more importantly, am I stuck in this state now?

You can use Odin to restore back to stock or flash the PnP rom to go back to Touchwiz. You won't get your apps back unless you backed them up first though. Also, you posted this in the Showcase forum. Hopefully you didn't flash their stuff to your phone or you may be in even more trouble.

comavolt is what i use and love it
this is the UCKI3 leak deodexed and packaged with entropy's daily driver kernel.
it is CWM flashable for all to try but it is my first deodex and this is a test build from samsung so expect issues.
the kernel from the odin package gives me unreliable cell connections. i will post it later for those that want hdmi and i hope others experience with it is different.
there will be more to come on this, i need to come up with a good rom name then the debloating and stock app modding can begin. i plan to atleast remove the battery full notification, theme the launcher (because atleast in froyo the launcher needed to suport hdmi so im not sure i can just use gtg's great launcher) theme the notification bar and who knows what else.
when att releases it officially i will certainly move on to that as a base.
the link is below
flash me if you are brave
edit:
the known issues are that
-entropy's kernel and hellraiser dont seem to like my dock or car dock , no audio over usb (this is not unique to this rom on my phone)
-crazy rainbows if you use the stock kernel (not packaged with the rom for the reason that the incomplatible bootloaders bork recovery, if you are used to using odin you probably dont need this rom as it is still basically stock)
edit:
hdmi supported kernel is now attached. warning! this has no recovery! let the media scanner run before opening the camera or previews will be rainbows.
edit:
-the cell connection with the att kernel can be unreliable but it "seems" to be better if you shut down the phone in flight mode and restart.
-the email app is broke. im not working on a fix yet.
-wifi doesnt work with a rogers based kernel
this whole thing is a learning experience for me. i'm certainly not a gtg or linuxbozo. far from it infact.

You can always pull the modem.bin from the ZIP, and push it to your phone manually, although I don't remember where it goes, someone else will probably say it.
That's what I'll do when I get home, back to my Infuse (took my Inspire to school today so that my friend can play with it, lol).

Yes it is!
This leak or whatever it is can help fix some of the issues the Infuse is having with Gingerbread roms.

Best ROM
Best Kernel
Best Overclock/Underclock speeds
"Girly Themes?"
Anything that you guys can help with. I have a lot of experience in developing and themes and just to make sure I hook her phone up good! Any help and advice you guys can give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Best Odin guide is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160580. Odin is a Windows-based low flash utility for Samsung phones. It's needed to flash radios and to initially flash a new recovery image so you can flash other roms. Some roms are also distributed as full Odin images as well.
Best is completely subjective. Do you want to remain on Froyo go to Gingerbread? Froyo is the latest official for this phone, but the last Gingerbread leak is so stable and fast that there is really no reason not to go to Gingerbread right now. A lot of people love GummyCharged. I don't...it's fast, but I've personally had a lot of stability issues with it. It looks AOSP if you're into that. A lot of people love Infinity, and while I do like the rom, I have hot boot issues with it. Humble is currently the only released rom built on the latest Gingerbread leak (though the previous leak is just as fast/stable in my experience). It's fast and stable, but it doesn't have a lot of the mods and tweaks present in some of the other roms. There's also one called Darkcharge TQ that I don't have any experience with, but I think the theme is pretty hideous.
For overclocking, it's easiest in Froyo. It requires Tegrak Overclock on Gingerbread. I have had good luck at 1.2 GHz and instability any faster. Some people have been able to get it higher, so YMMV.
As for themes, I know GummyCharged has a pink theme. Not really sure about any other themes.

Use the search function. It works wonders. If you are brave enough, read the stickies too.

Its people like you that keep people from posting questions. In regards to your smart alec comment. Yes I do have experience developing and making themes. My focus was that I was trying to get a bunch of different opinions so I could make my decision based on the general populous. Having experience developing and making themes in no way makes me magically able to pick the best ROM for my wife. Take a Xanax and leave the attitude at the login screen.

Mmm, I can haz Xanax bar? But anyways. Samsungs are about the easiest to hack. You download odin 1.83 [ http://www.mediafire.com/?51ikb8x0g16m221 ] and then download an odin package which has the rooted rom, kernel, recovery and radio all in it. After you download it then open up odin and select PDA. DO NOT PICK ANYTHING ELSE OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE. Look for the Odin package you downloaded and select it. Then do "Adb reboot download" [this is how you flash odin files] then start the process. So its about a ten minute process that does everything for you. Gunnermike had a pink theme but he needs to update it for the newest leak.
Btw, you will know if its an odin package by reading the thread under development. Itll say ODIN.
I also released a theme, my girlfriend has it on her Inspire 4G and we both loved it. I ported the SystemUI and Framework but I still havent got around to the dialer and mms, so itll be a little mismatched. But take a look anyways. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1303470

Hey thanks guys! My wife is liking the GummyCharged ROM or whatever it's called, just because of the themes. So that's probably what she'll get when she gets her Charge some time today. Thanks again for the info and the suggestions!

Sweet! So, keep in mind GummyCharged isnt an odin file. So if you want to make things easier, flash this odin file so you can get your root, recovery and kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270987 after that then download GummyCharged GBE2.0 http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?1292-ROM-EP1W-CWM-GummyCharged-GBE-2.0RC1.5-9-13-2011 and flash it in recovery. Quick and easy root . I also got a theme for GummyCharged 2.0 . http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1282585
Somethings to keep in mind about GummyCharged 2.0. When you first flash you will NOT have a lockscreen nor will your battery show up.
Go into settings>TSMParts and check and uncheck "disable lockscreen." Then pick whatever lockscreen style you want.
Do the same with the battery icon.
And when you charge your phone to 100% and unplug your phone, you will get a force close on your status bar. But itll load right back up.
Hope I've helped a bit and welcome to the Droid Charge forums.

Yes she does realize that but she also realizes how much she would have to pay to get one. That's why she's going with the Charge. Her mom has one and left it at stock and couldn't be happier.
