I just purchase ROM Manager Pro after getting my Captivate all ready to go for a custom ROM however I wanted to obtain it from ROM Manager but everytime I try to see what ROMS there are it says "error occurred while processing the ROM list!". I have tried uninstalling and cache clears. It just says it over and over.
Anyone know whats going on? Is it just me?
It's been broken for a long time.
I don't think there are any ROM's available in it's OTA for Captivate. But it still is very nice for flashing new ROM's just need to put them as a .zip in the SD card first. I preloaded all the latest ROM's and now just flash a new one every couple of days whenever I want something new...
There are no Roms for the Captivate in Rom manager at all. It has been brought up many times and no captivate Dev has been willing to go through the trouble up using it. It has gotten to the point where I dont even download it anymore lol. Just say the update zip for the custom recovery and your good to go.
Im new to this site. i got an eris that was rooted i think or was already updated to a 2.1 from the htc official update thats how i bought it im not with verizon i got cricket so the place i bought it from flashed it for me to cricket.
i really want my eris to run on a 2.2 rom like celbfroyo or something but heres my problem. i cant get the internet to work running a rom thats running on 2.2! my question is how can i get this problem solved???
i was reading forums on how to isntall custom roms and such and heres what i did...
i started off by downloading eris rooter followed the procedure on recovery i did a factory reset i wiped dalvik just basicly did what i was reading, then i installed kaosfroyo v39 on the recovery screen it successfuly installed i reboot it and i thought i had it.
everything was working fine phone calls even text messages except internet no internet at all i tried launching the browser and it would load but not do anything of course i did a backup so when i did a restore and went back to 2.1 my internet phone calls and text messages worked except my pic messages ive had this problem since i bought the phone
i know theres ways to get pic messages to work regardless even if my eris is flashed to cricket and i know i can get the internet to work on a custom 2.2 rom like kaos or celb etc but the question is how???
right now im successfuly running on xtrsense i got this rom to work by doing the same steps i mentioned above u know buy doing the wipes and such. xtrsense is running 2.1 which i dont like plus i still get no pic messages what am i doing wrong as far as me not having my internet working when running celbfroyo? is it not supported? or is it me???
if somone can help me with this i would highly appreciate it
thanks so much in advance
Hi, I searched all over the forum here and couldn't find an answer to this. I have a HTC HD2 (love it still) and recently got a HTC Thunderbolt for business. I usually root these phones when I get it so no surprise here
I spent many hours researching what I can like I did for my HD2 and am ready to flash the ROM now. I rooted it already and now want to install Das BAMF Stripped but don't know how to without Clockwork Recovery. It sounds like a identical process to my HD2 except there is no MAGLDR for this version (not that I know of at least) and I think the Clockwork Recovery install is different for each phone so I can't just flash it.
Do I need to use ROM Manager from the market to do this? I prefer installing it and having the option to boot CWR if possible instead of relying on the application.
Any steps on where to get it and how to flash it properly on the Thunderbolt will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Install ROM manager. From there you install CWR. Then reboot. I wouldnt use it for anything else. You can uninstall it when you get CWR installed.
courtesy of my rooted bolt
I see how it works now. So that's the only way to install it on the Thunderbolt? I was actually doing it after I posted. Up and running on Das BAMF ROM now.
Thanks
Just want to say thanks to mike who made the ARHD rom it works nicely on my first HTC handset.
also i have a few queries maybe someone can help me with.
I installed the ARHD version 2.0.0 straight up.
-i notice some occasions of Flickering screen
read in the main thread and some ppl are reporting same experience, so hopefully this is not just my phone.
-after installation, the first step of initial setup wizard, only have like 5 choices of telcom to choose from? is this normal? i m in Australia and with Vodafone and obviously not in the list so i choose some random telco. is this ok? what does these choices matter to the setup???
Thanks!
Try the latest (v3.1) version of the ROM. It supposed to run very smoothly.
thanks mate.
I just update to the latest ARHD to date, 3.1.0.
Its been so good so far!

I wanted to get this rom or something similar that works straight with Clockwork recovery 3.X ... ive got mgldr already and the CW installed ... was using a CM7 rom till now ... but something has gone wrong and now everything is crashing. I cant post on that thread coz im new. Does anyone have that particular rom ? can you upload it somewhere ? or any recommendation for a similar rom that doesnt require me to flash the whole phone again ?
