hey all. im about to purchase a captivate and it will be my first smart phone. i am curious if you all recommend getting the big or small data plan. i have a lot of access to wifi and on my current phone which has the unlimited data plan (not a smart phone tho) i have never gone over 200 MB and one of my family members who has an iphone has only gone over 3 times in the last 12 months. anyways, i was curious what you all had to say about it. thanks!
I have the 2GB plan since I use a radio app everyday for 3-4 hours. That rashes a lot of data and also have facebook, tapatalk, and both emails updating all day long. I went over the 200MB once but that was before I started using radio and pandora.

if you want to keep your unlimited plan, you can do so.
If you are careful about your use when you aren't on wifi the 200meg plan should work just fine.

This. But make sure you call them every 2 weeks for a couple of months and check that the "grandfathered unlimited data plan" is still active.

Apparently some people have reported problems keeping an unlimited plan if it was of the "MediaMax" variety. I had a smartphone unlimited plan and she didn't even bother asking me if I wanted to keep it; she just said, "Oh, you'll be wanting to keep this" and left it in place.
the stock phone does not come with a way to turn off data.

Does the 2GB plan really let you use that much streaming? I've been thinking of switching from the 200MB plan, but I'm not sure how much more I'd really get out of it.

I have the 200mb plan and if I had a choice due to money constraints right now, I wouldn't have any. Since I do all my app downloading and video watching on wifi, I have only gone over once. I use it on stuff that doesn't user much data such as xda app, viewing basic web, and email. Of course I always use #data* to check my usage.

just keep the unlimited data plan. i have $15/month data unlimited for "basic phones" because i always buy unlocked phones. works with every phone i've had, captivate included.
keep the plan. have you ever used the tether function? I've hit 5gbs in a month using tethering when i was housesitting for a friend of mine =X
I used 17XX MB last billing cycle.

I also had the $10/mo unlimited on the family plan but no matter how much I jumped up and down they wouldn't let me keep it..said I had to go to one of the 2 plans.
I have wifi at work and at home and so I usually use around 150MB of 200MB. I also have a sprint HTC Mogul active on boost mobile paygo which allows unlimited 3g data for 3.33 a month which I use for all of my mobile hot spot/streaming radio needs. It basically has a permanent home in my car which I use instead of the local radio stations.
I know a lot of you guys use only around 200 megs, but I guess I'm lucky I'm on the older data plans because I use around 5 gigs a month of data. I don't stream music everyday or anything but I use my phone's 3G a lot like a normal computer so I use a lot of data when downloading whatever I'm downloading.
I tether my phone a lot and typically use upwards of 5GB per month. My husband on the other hand has the same phone and almost never even reaches 200MB thanks to the wireless at his work.
i've never come close to 200mb, and i never worry about data usage. i think if you need more you already know it.
Both with a nexus one and a captivate on seperate plans, att "upgraded" me from a basic phone with unlimited, to a smart phone plan with 2gb.

I'm on wifi a lot, and I still manage to use a GB a month.
Sent from my Captivate.
I've been hitting about 10gbs a month for the last 3 months (pandora, streaming tv, tethering for BlackOps) and now ATT recently decided to change my mediamax account to 2gb datapro without my consent. They expect me to pay the overage charges even though i was never informed of the change and would never agree to it. Im so outraged right now that if they dont give me back my "grandfather data plan" which i've had consistently for 5+ years. Im going to switch to Verizon, my buddy tells me they have no data cap plus they got better service. We'll see if ATT honors a loyal customer or loses one....

lol, I feel ya. Sort of...I have the unlimited plan
But you'd be surprise how many people don't even come close to the 2gb plan. I use the tethering moderately and stream pandora quite a bit, and there's only been a handful of times that I went over the 2gb mark. I'd say for the majority the 2gb is enough, plus they are offering another extra 2gb. I just don't like how they are charging extra for the tethering.
I also have the unlimited and I can admit I never come close to the 2GB.
There will be a day that even the grandfathered unlimited plan will be terminated one way or another. AT&T's network congestion means it should never offered unlimited plan to begin with.
Verizon actually made it clear, even though it offer unlimited for new iPhone users, top 5% of the data users will be throttled. I sense AT&T will soon follow suit.
If 2GB is not enough for you today, you're on the way to be throttled soon.

Same here - never reachd 2gb... but I need it for peace of mind. I don't have even check what I've used on my phone. I have to worry constantly about my wife and daughter going over their limits. In fact, my wife accidently went over her 200mb limit by using DroidTV and not having it set for "Wifi Only", coupled with her WIFI settings still at the default setting of "Turn off WIFI when screen goes off" instead of "Never". Even if she was set at 2gb I could see an accident like this happening and costing extra money.
AT&T claims that they notify you when you reach 60%, 90% and 100% of your limit. This is bullsh*t. They don't. First, data use reporting is about 12 hours behind. You can blow your cap by quite a bit in 12 hours. Next, when she went over 200, they sold her another 200 for $15 without any text. I believe this can happen up to 5 times ($90 for 1.2gb). 12 hours later she got a text and I got an email saying she was nearing her limit - but the limit she was nearing was 400mb (the second set of 200mb). We were never informed as she blasted right past the first 200mb. Thank goodness she only had a couple movies set to download. If she had a series recording it would have cost a fortune.
I want to set a hard limit and then have data shut off at that point. Don't sell me extra data automatically. Maybe for technical reasons, they don't know for 12 hours... so they once they find out turn off my data and don't charge me for the overage. Until they can and will do this, I don't think they should be selling limited data plans. Until they can send you warnings in a timely manner, they shouldn't be selling limited data plans.
To AT&T's credit, I was able to retroactively change her data plan to the 2gb plan back to the beginning of my billing cycle - so the mistake cost me $10. Now out of piece of mind I will probably have to keep her at the 2gb plan even though in the past she's never even come close to the 200mb.
RE: Verizon "unlimited"... I can understand temporarily throttling back a heavy user maybe for few hours or days, but not for the rest of the billing cycle and definately not for the next billing cycle. Can you imagine you make one mistake like my wife did and have your speed crippled for up to 2 months? How can they even legally cripple service for a future billing period?
This is important for us to follow because AT&T is probably watching this approach closely and will eventually adopt it for us as well.

5% is a huge number of customers - probably a lot of them being business customers. Once enough people get throttled back Verizon may have to rethink this approach. Consider what Comcast did. They went from unlimited to 250gb. That's a very reasonable limit that certainly doesn't catch 5% of their internet customers. Of course as time goes by they will have to adjust that 250 up or they will start catching more and more customers.
I don't think they've defined what they consider heavy users yet. It must be pretty low to include 5% of data users.
An even better option would be data buckets, where your unused data rollsover. I've gone near the 200mb cap quite a few times since the default settings cleverly turn off wifi when the phone sleeps

"Demographic Research" is why we have the 2gb plan in the first place.
That's why I believe the unlimited plan will be eventually phased out also. Yea, their offering the unlimited plan again, but to me that's mostly PR to get more customers because cases like this: http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/04/verizon-breaks-first-day-sales-record-with-iphone-4-pre-orders/ I don't really know how truthful that is, since corporate tend to inflate stats for the press.
But competition is good for the consumers, as long as both these billion dollar companies are in high competition, it should be easier on the wallet for us. Hoping...but still believe they are ripping us off as consumers (and I will keep the reasons why to myself, I've seen what it did to the other threads )
These are all opinions, and I take your posts as opinions. So...can we keep this civil. The other threads I've seen regarding this subject matter tend to get heated, which I do avoid (I have enough drama in my life
I believe that the limited plans were and still are a great idea. 2 gigs is a ton of data in my opinion.I rarely every go above 1 a month and I am on my phone a fair amount. I don't think the limited plan is a bad idea, but I do see the amount going up and up. Since mobile internet access will exceed home internet access in the future, in my opinion. Which in turn costing us more and more.
As richb500 said, it is important to follow this and see what AT$T does.
When I was following the Fuze/Tilt2 forums it was pointed out that the is no true unlimited plan. The plan is called unlimited but in the TOS it states that over 5G of data transfered ATT can terminate your service.
All carriers have that clause in their respective TOS.
I have the old unlimited plan and have gone ovef 5G once but repeated go over 4G and never got any warning messages about my use.
Just a word of caution.
Sprint seems to be very loose with enforcement. A co-worker has an EVO and uses upwards of 20G a month using it has a hotspot and has never been warned about abusive use which is again in the Sprint TOS.

shouldn't have to terminate it.
if they weren't greedy and shortsighted they could get most to move over voluntarily with the right incentives.
For Example - Anyone with unlimited who is willing to Renew a new 2 year contract on their voice and take a capped data plan gets to choose any At&t Phone @ no cost with the upgrade. Couple this with informing users that stay on the unlimited they will face throttling if it is abused....(soft cap of 5 or 6 gb).
75% or more would likely take advantage if they could get the latest phone for free (iphone, atrix, whatever else comes down the pike).
Couple it with a marketing campaign to the effect of TETHER AWAY. No charges for tether as we respect your right to use the full potential of your phone. Give 250mb data free to all smartphone users. Offer 2gb @ $25 and 4GB @ 45$ (same as tether pricing but removes the stigma and bad taste of being charged for something that costs them nothing and is a native capability of the OS/Device). Keep the $10 overage charge per every GB of data over the cap.

Good for us consumers, but anyone that is like me that uses 1GB a day with ease "when you are at work with nothing better to do then surf the net, and watch movies" it becomes a problem, lucky I have unlimited data though and I don't see why they don't sell it to more customers because most who have it don't use nearly that much so its extra money in the pocket

The unlimited data plan offering is not official, and I don't think customer service will know anything until Verizon iphone official launch date. What I've been reading (ex.) http://www.zdnet.com/blog/apple/at-t-quietly-matching-vzws-unlimited-data-plan-for-iphone/9317
But this is only a business move, in my opinion, since there are certain criteria you must meet to get back the unlimited plan.
And for your question: No you can't lie about not having a smartphone, when actually you are using a smartphone, they will know.
My contract recently expired and I am looking to upgrade. My question is, is the 2gb Data plan enough to support the Infuse, Atrix, or Inspire? I have read the other thread on this question, however all the responses were about getting unlimited data. I would get it but, being in school, i cant justify/afford the cost of buying an iPhone 2g. I have been looking for a fellow friend or developer in my area to lend me theirs but I am looking to get the new phone in a week or two.
So, in general, is the 2gb plan enough?
My day during the year, 8-3, classes, no major usage, mabey 30 mins internet.
4-10 moderate usage, mabey up to 1 hour usage. Internet, mabey an app or two, and possible Pandora a day or two a month. Tethering mabey 20 mins max 3 days a week or less. weekends, moderate usage, internet sparingly all day, mabey 1:00 max. Summer is similar to weekends.
What is the general opinion? Or personal experience.
I live in Florida and used Pandora a good amount of time during my drive to N Carolina and back as well as my Google Maps, and didn't get anywhere near the 2gb. I'm on my phone most of the day at work (730-4) and use the browser, Facebook app, and various other data using apps. The only problem you might run into is the tethering imo.

Totally enough, even with your usage. I have the same plan and I am a pretty heavy user day to day, I read xda for about 3 hours a day maybe watch like 4 YouTube vids, engadget app, Facebook, stream Pandora for like an hour... and yet the past 3 months I can only get up to using about 1. 5 Gigs.... trust me its enough

Can't you upgrade and keep your unlimited plan if you allready have unlimited I have upgraded more than ones and still have my unlimited data its grandfathered in if I had 2 gb cap I would had been over by 5 gb this mounth just think if you installed a rom its one third of a gb if you use the phone
Mr.Nun.Ya
it is enough, i use my phone all day and when i get the bill, its nowhere near 2gb.
Unlimited plans make you feel warm and fussy because you always know you won't go over. If you are aware of how you use the internet you will be fine. Me, I turn off my mobile network religiously it save massive battery life and all the apps that want to update can't. (if its in my pocket I don't care about someones facebook update) Second I use WiFi when I can: its free, normal much faster, I do not have 4g but I do have a 10m connection at home and a larger one @ the university I work at.
If you every want to check how much data you have used use this number and it will show you your data usage; *3283#
If you check that once a week you will never go over, or you can use an app like 3g Watchdog Pro(or lite) which is absolutely amazing...it shows you how much dat\ you used that day/week/month...it predicts how much you will use by the date you will be billed based on your current usage, calculates how much data you can use a day for the whole month without going over, it is a very nice app/widget to have
2gb DAta Plan
I constantly go over and I have 4gb, but I also am traveling and tether. Since I never had AT&T until now I was told I am not able to get unlimited which I think is stupid.
That's crap if I had a cap with att I would move to Verizon they have. no cap and the thunderbolt I don't no why you guys think it alright you probably think its OK to pay extra to tether how I use my data is my business its just a way to squeese more money from you
Mr.Nun.Ya
I also have the 2gig data plan, I have not came close to my limit at all. I am on my phone all the time, at least my wife says. The close I came to was 1 gig, that was re-downloading all of my google apps, before I swtich over to my WIfi.
I never use Wifi- because my broadband connection is slower than my ATT connection on the phone. Ihave an older unlimited data plan, and I use 7-8G in a typical month.
Verizon
I was told and have read on several websites that Verizon will be dropping the unlimited data plans and adopting a tiered system like AT&T. If you have your unlimited with AT&T right now, find a 3g smartphone that is acceptable and keep your unlimited. I made the mistake of not doing that and regret it. I do however really like my Inspire.

Mine is 2GB and always well below the limit line. Sometimes I wished there was this 1GB plan
Is there ANY way around the 2g data-cap?
i cant afford to upgrade at all, and would really love to use my phone at the end of the month...
i hit my limit about 4 days ago and have till the 28th when my plan rolls over.. this is freaking driving me nuts having to wait to be home or somewhere with WiFi to use my interent or check my various news sources...
I use my wifi when i can, but i stream pandora at work, and it chews up data pretty fiercely! Also get on YouTube alot and run the radar on AccuWeather...
When im at home or any friends' houses, i use wifi... but its not available in the warehouse i work at.
Im curious if there is a way i can use more data, or regain my UNLIMITED data i had with my milestone, but not pay for an upgrade. I can blow through 2g like a fat kid at a buffet. I averaged 5-6g per month with my 'stone.
There has to be a way around this... someone help me.

If you can't follow the method outlined above then you may want to wait for Onavo to release their Android client.
Visit the Onavo website for more details--it's on their blog. It should be here by the end of the month.

With ATT changing their plans around, does it still work? The data plans even changed as of yesterday.
(I got in on the $10 for 1000 msg right before it changed.)
So, I want to do this, but I have a question.
If I do it, and I get unlimited data, do I lose my Unlimited texts with unlimited mobile to mobile? Because if I do, I won't do it since that's how we save money on our phone bill by having "umlimited" minutes thanks to that plan.
I ask this because the Unlimited Data plan apparently adds the unlimited texting plan, removing the one I have right now, if I do it.
fml... seems like i cant do it, cause I'm not the master account holder on my family plan. I know if it gets changed or altered without her say-so, she would bust my balls.
FAWK!

I believe the "unlimited loophole" was closed a number of months ago. At least according to MacRumors.Com forums. I did it back in January (didn't even need an original iPhone just a dumbphone) with my iPhone 4 and an old Moto Krazr but it seems it no longer works.

I just used a iphone 2g and switched 2 lines over and they showed on the account as iphone unlimitted within minutes of registering. Getting the rest of the story done is yet to come

I believe the "unlimited loophole" was closed a number of months ago. At least according to MacRumors.Com forums. I did it back in January (didn't even need an original iPhone just a dumbphone) with my iPhone 4 and an old Moto Krazr but it seems it no longer works.

had a friend do it just last week to both his phones
so how much does an iphone 2g rent for these days lol
You work so what's another 10 bucks a month for an extra gb?

So, I want to do this, but I have a question.
If I do it, and I get unlimited data, do I lose my Unlimited texts with unlimited mobile to mobile? Because if I do, I won't do it since that's how we save money on our phone bill by having "umlimited" minutes thanks to that plan.
I ask this because the Unlimited Data plan apparently adds the unlimited texting plan, removing the one I have right now, if I do it.

no you dont all it changes is your data plan. PLEASE SEARCH
What if I have a dumb phone? Can I just take that in?
Nope, it has to be a smartphone unlimited data. The plan for the 2G iPhone was unlimited data with a bundled text, hence the $20 plan that everyone talks about. The AT&T billing system is set up to allow the unlimited smartphone data plans to transfer between phones, so this iPhone gateway allied you to get any of the smartphone plans. Then once you have it, your grandfathered in.

I had an unlimited $10 a month plan from my dumb phone days. I was using it on my captivate for over a year until I updated to the Infuse due to the captivate dying. They got rid of my $10 unlimited and placed me on the $25 a month 2 GB plan :-\. I was just wondering if there is anyway anyone has switched back.

So in April when i picked up my G2X i decided to go to the local Tmobile store to get my phone because i didnt want to wait for shipping and for once decided to save a few bucks and get the contract extension rather than pay outright.
when there setting everything up I was told I needed a new sim card for 4G.
I thought that was odd because I was already given a "new" 4G sim for that reason on my nexus one.
I specifically told the clerk i did NOT want the new 5GB plan because of the data throttling and wanted to keep my old plan. he said no problem.
I have since found out the hard way I am now on the 5GB plan and constantly get the throttle text message and its pissing me off.
Ive tried calling Tmobile and I always end up with someone who barely speaks English and doesn't understand what my problem is.
I explain i want my old plan and not to be data throttled and they read from a script explaining it doesnt cut off my internet or charge me extra.
has anyone dealt with this and succesfully got the old plan back?
even with constantly being on WIFI when its available ( and killing my battery )
i go over 5gb and it sucks.
Everybody got switched to 5GB, I don't think anybody wanted it either. You can't get unthrottled data plans anymore. The only thing you could do is "upgrade" to the 10GB plan.

Well that blows, i was under the impression if you dont change your plan they are obligated to give you the service you've always had.
I havent checked the 10GB price but considering what I am paying now I doubt I will be willing to pay it.
it sucks paying more money for lesser service.
so far in the last few months I feel like Tmobile, My bank, insurance & Sirius have all bent me over & screwed me without dinner or a thank you....
Just curious, how long have you had unthrottled data? I got switched to the 5GB plan back in October of last year.

How it was explained to me, T-Mobile always had the 5 gb limit. They just didn't enforce it automatically like they do now. It was hidden away in the fine print way back that 5 gb was the limit for high speed data, they just had no way of actually throttling til they got the 4g network up and running. So we are screwed. I can't even upgrade to the 10gb plan since I'm on and old myfavs family plan so its not an option for me.

thats what i THOUGHT i was still on. i was supposed to be on the myfaves plan with unlimited android from the G1 days.
seems like these days not only does your dollar not go very far but it seems like you have to take it and like it because there are no better options.
especially with cellular providers.
sucks I finally get a phone how i want and now i cant find decent service for it in south FL lol
The 10gig plan is an extra $60. I have 2 devices with this service And its still not enough. Got throttled in the first week this month. Off to buy a hotspot tomorrow.

Wait, it's $60 on top of what you're paying for phone/messaging ?
You are guys are lucky you don't get throttled until 5gb. The two major carriers in Thailand throttle you down to Edge speeds on 3G after reaching 2Gb on one and 3Gb on the other on their so-called unlimited data plans.
You can get a sonic hot spot for 20 a month???

I checked my plan for the first time in ages the other day; did not bother checking because it's been the same for the last 5 years (unlimited everything), and I too found that I was switched over to their 5gb. I'm usually on wifi but I'm not looking forward to getting throttled.

Hotspot has the speeds as the cell phone data plan. If you use 5gb in a week then the hotspot is not going help you. your going to pay $79.99 for 10gb of data with a hotspot.

Hey everyone,
So before i got the galaxy i was on an unlimited plan so i was never paranoid about my data usage. I had to switch to Verizon's new plan and i had to give up unlimited data. I purchased 4 gigs a month thinking that this should be more than sufficient. I was on the iphone before and i would usually use up around 1.7 gigs a month. I just checked my usage and i am at 2.44 gigs and still 16 days left on my cycle. I dont use my data too much. I do stream pandora and iheartradio but not much more than i did with the iphone. I know when i flash a rom it erases everything and then every app has to be re-installed. Every time i flash i make sure i am connected to wifi before i start to re-download the apps. Has anyone else noticed high data usage after flashing a few times? I may have to stop flashing for 16 days and keep my data cutoff, that was built into android, set. Anyone else without unlimited notice high data usage after flashing a few times. Even unlimited users, have you guys ever checked your usage. Let me know, thanks.
*Note - At work and home (where i spend my entire life) i am connected to wifi.
Are you making use of Google Backup/Restore services?
When a "fresh install" starts up & you enter in your Google account information, the restore functionality usually tries to kick in transparently in the background. At that point in time, it's entirely plausible that you haven't added any wifi information yet, so it's pulling app data down over the air.
That's the only possible cause I can think of?
I haven't checked mine lately but I always stop play from auto installing and use titanium backup. There have been a few times where the play store would auto restore before I was connected to WiFi.

Download the ROMS on wifi. Flash and restore when you are on wifi. Don't use the google backup service unless you will be on wifi for the next, say hour to be safe, or restore locally with Titanium.
Thanks for the input. With my last rom I didn't use my Google setup on the initial boot up. I went and turned wifi on and then added my Google account. I'll try removing Google backup and I'm gonna use titanium backup to see if I have any changes.

I'm about to hit 6GB with 1 day left in the billing cycle but that includes downloading a few different versions of cm9/cm10 and about 10 rom flashes/full google restores all on 4G LTE. Luckily I still have unlimited or I'd have to be a lot more careful.
I just hit 20 gigs. Still have have 6 days to go

Do you download everything off network and flash multiple roms? 20 gigs lot. Your lucky your unlimited cause Verizon would charge $15 per gig over your limit

Going from iPhone to S3 very smart
Giving up your precious unlimited data for that awful 4GB plan, not so much.
You probably would have been better off buying it outright and keeping unlimited in the long run when you factor in monthly savings. Hindsight obviously.
As far as flashing using data, make sure when you flash a new ROM not to use backup assistant, and don't let the rom restore from google. If it does, it will try to pull all of your apps from the market, which can use significant data.

Off topic but here is the story on how i came upon this planned. I had the iphone 4s with verizon and i was in an unlimited plan. I had the iphone for a while and i got bored, i missed the good old days on android and rooting. I saw the new evo lte that i kinda wanted so i cancelled my verizon plan early, termination fee was $175 but i sold the iphone and got $400 for it. I went to sprint and bought the evo from my friend who works at sprint. He gave me the employee discount where i got unlimited everything and the phone for $200 all for $55 a month with insurance. The deal was amazing. The service with sprint not so much. I found that the phone was pretty much useless unless i connected to wifi, thats how bad it was for me. So, i read reviews on the s3 and the phone looked amazing. What i decided to do was cancel with sprint. I cancelled on day 13 of 14 so no fees, i just returned phone and i was a happy camper. I went back to verizon and told them that i wasnt happy with sprint. They were nice enough to keep my contract for 30 days in case i wanted to return. So i went out and bought the galaxy s3 at full price, went to verizon and told them i'd like to reinstate my contract. I called over 5 times to make sure that my unlimited plan would still be available and everyone said it will be. As soon as i get to verizon they tell me that they cant give me unlimited anymore. When i talked to a head houncho on the phone he told me that what those 5 other people told me is not true and that they didnt know, only he and his deptartment had the final call on whether i can get unlimited or not. And he said no. So i ended up switching to 4 gigs, which i thought was enough but it isnt. I pretty much broke even on the monthly pay because its shared so i added my ipad to my plan for $10 extra. If i kept the ipad on its own plan then its $30 extra. Everything worked out nicely on paper but now even with 4 gigs a month i'm still watching what i do. I was dumb for switching and going through the hassle. What made things worse was when i got the phone they locked the bootloader, kinda like a spit in the face. Anyway thats my long story.
I removed google backup, did everything on titanuim. I'm gonna flash again and see how much data i lose. I shouldnt lose any but i'll find out

Download off your home internet and put the ROMs onto your internal storage? Flashing ROMs requires no data, downloading them does.

I too have noticed an insane amount of data. I'm always on wifi in my apartment and use the phone the same as my old iPhone. Today I looked and every month I'd use about 300 to 500 MB of data on my iPhone and I'm halfway through the month on my s3 with 2gb used. I don't know what's going on.

I can confirm that when I moved into a warranty replacement phone that all the apps where downloaded from the 4G network before I had WiFi setup. Once WiFi got setup it switched and did the little bit of the remainder over WiFi. So its not just custom ROMs.
Watch for picasa syncing, some have reported that it will eat a ton of data.

I just did a upgrade and kept my unlimited data.... I've had unlimited since it came out...My upgrade was just that a upgrade. People don't know the truth. When u upgrade call back and tell them u want your unlimited data plan back. You can do this under the Worry free customer exchange policy. You must call within the first 14 days. I was made aware if this by a Verizon rep. It only can be done over the phone. ANY QUESTIONS PM ME
