I was wondering if the paid apps in the android market work in cyprus? i am currently living in the uk for studies but i usually go to cyprus over the summer anyone else from cyprus that knows if you can buy paid apps? or if there is a work around?
Yep, it is.
It is a problem when you use a SIM card from Cyprus. And even for some free apps, like SE File Explorer and Skype, you cannot download them. So far I have not found a workaround.
I live in Cyprus ... marketaccess works on my HTC hero and Flytouch 2 tablets to accomplish this ...
Device must be rooted of course.

I was wondering if any of you have and would be kind enough to post the latest versions of Google Voice Search (v2.1.4) and Amazon Mp3 (v2.0.7) apps. They are both free but both of the apps don't seem to appear in my market due to the Google region availability policies but I've done shopping of mp3 files through the outdated Amazon app that came with my phone before.
I wouldn't be asking for this if my Voice Search was working fine which it isn't; I just updated my HTC Desire HD to Gingerbread 2 days ago and found that the Voice Search is not working well and was hoping that the updated version might fix the problem. As far as the Amazon app goes, the latest version has some good UI tweaks and now the welcome screen let's you choose whether to go to the shop or to the player which is very neat.

Has anyone else received an update to the market recently that removes the Google Movie store and support for several apps like Facebook and Amazon Mobile? Its really weird, I can't even search for the official Facebook app and with other apps I get the "this application is not supported by your device" thing. Any ideas? Thanks.

DOes anyone know the reason some google apps like maps, youtube, etc are not available in some markets? I kind of aunderstand paid apps not being available but not google apps for android phones officially being sold in those countries. What is the problem?
