I am getting the Gear 2 that will be paired with my T-Mobile Note 3 and have a couple of quick question:
1). Which built-in Note 3 app that CANNOT be frozen for the Gear 2 to function with the phone?
I froze certain built-in Samsung apps in the Note 3. Does the following needs to be UNFROZEN:
- ANT Hal Service
- ANT Radio Service
- ANT+ Plugins
- Mobeam Service Application
- S Health
I did NOT froze :Gear Manager"
2). I had Peeble watch before and there are many Peeble app that can forward ANY notifications, like Google Voice text message and 3rd party calendar. Does the Gear 2 have this capability also?
Well, turns out the Gear 2 is ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH 4.4.
My Note 3 is only 4.3 and have not desire upgrading to 4.4. Not sure why the Gear 2 requires 4.4... seeing Samsung own website stated it is compatible with Note 3, long before 4.4 is out for Note 3.
Mod, please delete this thread as I will be returning and not using the Gear 2 anymore.
Not true, I'm using the Gear 2 for a week now on 4.3 with no problems at all.

i have a note 3, gear 2 and mine will not sync with s health at all.. i have tried everything i could think of.. has anyone got this to work..??
This guy was posted back on Dec 19, 2014, but I just noticed it in my install list today. If you're running stock 4.4.2 on your Note 8, you can install a new version of S Note (it's not an upgrade to the stock S Note that comes preloaded, however; it's a completely new app) that's compatible with the newer S Note version on the Note 3 or the 2014 Note 10.1. No porting necessary!
According to the description:
This is the new S Note application, preloaded on Galaxy Note3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
The new version allows you to view and edit the notes created on Note 3 and Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and to sync accross other Note devices.

I like S health app on my Samsung gear S very much. But what can I do with data on my gear? Nothing. Because I don't own S5. It cannot be transferred to S4 Active or PC... Other sport app that I used to use (Runtastic), needs phone connection all the time. So what's the point hawing watch if you have to take your phone to a run anyway? What are the solutions for this problem. How can I synchronise S health to my mobile or PC? Any suggestions? I run Android 4.4.2 and S Health version is 2.5.4.168 and cannot be updated. It doesn't synchronize with my Samsung Gear S...:crying:

SmartThings cannot be downloaded to Samsung Gear S3 in the GalaxyStore app because it is not in the GalaxyStore. why ??
