Hi memyselfandi47,
I have the same problem, I have a X10 Mini with Android 2.1 and the Archos 101 with the last update Android 2.2.
I tried "Barnacle", but he said me "Not correct Kernel" to start it.
I tried "Wifi Tether", same problem...
There is a solution with "Easy Tether" to connect the X10 with Win7, Vista, XP, Mac Os, but not with our Archos...
I have lost more than 8 hours on this challenge, but I'm sure that's possible to do it...
I continue my searchs and I will inform you if I find something.
Cheers,
Same problem here. this is ridiculous! Android should easily connect to android goddamnit! Whats the use of a tablet with no 3g if i cant connect it to my phone?!
Sad..
Hi there!
Someone found a posibility to connect Archos 101 & X10 ???
regards
Nope. Noone cares about us obviusly. But this is a growing problem. I cant even get past only beeing paired "not connected" to my Xperia Mini Pro. I sent an email to archos and they only sent me a standard answer:
Dear Customer,
To use the Tethering on your Archos 5 with a mobile phone, first check the compatibility of your mobile phone with your GSM carrier or with the mobile's manufacturer.
Then follow these steps:
-Pair the mobile phone through a bluetooth connection with the Archos 5 (see the user guide of the mobile phone for further informations)
-From the tethering settings of the Archos 5IT, select the mobile paired and configure the connection with the help of the settings given by your GSM carrier (APN, login and password).
To finish, enable the tethering.
Kind Regards,
Archos Technical Support
"
They obviusly didnt care about my message, or read it very well. since they dont even mention any problems between archos and Xperia.
This is what we get for wanting to by and support our favourite brands.
No help from Sony-Ericsson either.
Still nothig on tethering 101 to the x10? hotspotting the phone is easy, but my 101 will not detect it still... any help?

Okay, first off a disclaimer, I know there are many posts about something EXACTLY what I'm trying to do. I've used the search tool, and I've googled the hell out of it. Even asked around, but I just eventually stopped receiving posts. It may very well be a windows problem rather than anything I'M doing.
What I got: Windows 7. A router. Motorola Droid 1. EasyTether App (The paid license, so I can go to secured sites). A PS3. Several ethernet cables (No crossover however).
What I've done: 1) Connected ethernet between PS3-PC and enabled ICS.
2) Connected between PS3-PC and tried bridging Tether and PS3-PC connection.
3) Connecting PC ethernet to router (Uplink port) and then PS3 to router and enabling ICS then Bridging once that failed.
4) Rooting phone and installing a WifiTether app (Later to find out PS3 can't do adhoc).
I'm at a complete loss for what to do next. I see a lot of people having NO problem with it. Is it because I have yet to see anyone attempting it with the Droid 1? Please help! If you need anymore information, I will provide!
Hi
I own a HTC Snap phone, running WM6.5 and without a touch screen, which seems to be a lethal combination (for example, the XDA facebook app will not work on my phone).
When using a windows XP laptop I simply connect the phone via USB and use it as a modem, but I assume this won't work on the Android tablet.
So I'm trying to find a way to share my 3G connection to my Android 3.2 tablet.
The default ICS app is useless - the tablet doesn't see the phone either when sharing through WIFI (I understand Android will not recognize ad-hoc wifi connections) or when using BT.
I tried installing the trial of wmwifirouter with the same results.
I tried the XDA ICS app (I think it was a port of the HTC app) and couldn't get it to run, probably because it was expecting a touch screen input.
Is there any way to solve my dilema without replacing my phone?
Thanks
There used to be an app for WM called wifi hotspot. If you could install it on your phone, the tablet would connect to it via wi-fi.

I'm 90% sure that's the one I tried that didn't work because my phone has a keyboard and no touch, but I'll try it again.
Yep, it's not working on the HTC snap.

Hey all,
I am trying to revive my old unused Acer Aspire A150 to use as a car pc.
Android-x86 ICS 4.0 EEEPC build installed perfectly fine. I've got everything working so far apart from 3G.
I have a Vodafone Huawei E220 dongle which I have unlocked and de-activated the CDROM mode.
Problem is when I plug it into the netbook, it starts up fine but Android cannot see it for some reason. If I go into Settings>Mobile Networks and try to search for Network providers it just searches and never finds anything. If I unplug the dongle, Android pops up a message saying "Error finding networks".
Any advice guys?

I've got a new Sony sbh60 bluetooth headset, and it works great on my Sony Experia. But I'm also trying to connect the headset to either my Ipad or my Windows 8 laptop via bluetooth, but Windows (and IOS) are not picking the device up.
Can the device work with non-Sony devices wirelessly? Any ideas of what else I can try?
More than one year later, and I still cannot connect SBH60 on Bluetooth with my windows 7 laptop.
Hey
I just got the headset as a gift from SONY and I had the same problem. The point is: HAD I went to sonymobile.com/support, chose the device SBH60 and followed the steps. Basically, you need to activate something like multidevice connectivity and then connect to one, disconnect, and connect to 2nd. Just follow the steps on the webpage
Cheers
