I have a Commvtiva N700 which has gone into a boot loop.I have been trying to install clockwork recovery using the SD card but nothing happens. Is there any other method to install this, eg possibly using Odin?
Thanks

im trying the odin files?
Is this the right thing to do?
I wouldn't try Odin just yet I would put the sdcard into a micro SD adapter and move the file to another sdcard the try booting into recovery mode. Have you downloaded the recovery and tried to get into recovery mode the normal way? And if you did get into recovery can you still get into there and just put a rom on the root of the sdcard and wipe data, cache, delvki and the flash the rom and see if that works just a few ideas before you break it completely lol

Sdcard? The nexus s doesn't have one. Odin works but it isn't popular.
I'd go with clockwork recovery. Is your phone bootloader unlocked? Clockwork recovery fully flashed?

How does the fake flash with CWM via Rom Manger work? Is it like the flash that's used with the Vibrant, where it's just an update.zip that's temp installed when booting into recovery? Or is it something different?

Yes, it puts the update.zip onto the sdcard. If you get stuck in a bootloop, there is no way to recover other than doing a factory reset if you flash the recovery this way.
On the other hand, if you flash CWR through NVFlash, if you get into a bootloop, you can press Vol - and Power to access the recovery.
I rooted my Infuse with super one clock and then installed rom manager. I then flashed clockwork recovery selecting the Galaxy S i9000 option. When I reboot into recovery I don't have the options for install from sd card or backup. Is there something I missed?
Thanks
Once u Root, and Use Rom Manager to get the Recovery File.(Which u Did)
Reboot into recovery(Blue)
Reinstall Packages and then it will reboot, Reinstall packages Again.
Thats when you will see your Gree Recovery Screen and where you can load/Install Zip files.
I tried to reinstall packages option 4 times and all I got was errors.

This should get u past that.
hi, I installed cwm using rom manager and now im stuck in a loop where I cant get out of cwm.
I have tried downloading 'exitrecovery.zip' but cant flash it as cwm recognises my internal storage as the sdcard and I cant get into /removable/sdcard using cwm.
does anyone know how I can sort this? I have a cwm backup so im happy to wipe the system somehow.
any help is appreciated. thanks
if you have a nAndroid backup just restore it with cwm!

Same: Auto reboot in recovery
I tried to flash prime rom 2.1 and soon after that i flashed the pad with revoler4 beta 1.3, it was a success but with i rebooted the pad the blue progress bar never came up and since then it keeps rebooting in recovery mod. and my bootloader is still locked.
Any solution? guys pls help..
Does powering it off then turning it back on work?
Hi,
This is my first time flashing so go easy on me
Basically I started with my stock HTC One S, unlocked the bootloader, rooted the handset, then flashed CWM 5.8.3.1 onto it. I mounted the SD Card on my PC, copied the CM10 and GApps ZIPs over to the SD Card then installed them with CWM.
After that the handset wouldn't boot past the HTC screen. I kept installing the ZIPs over and over then whilst I was panicing and clicking everything I could find wiped the Dalvik Cache/factory reset/cache/EVERYTHING. After that point it just would not mount the /sdcard. I managed to get it booting by flashing the boot.img using fastboot. But I still can't access the sdcard.
In JB it just says its safe to remove the sd card permanently. If I try and push anything to it using ADB it says that the volume is write protected.
I have no clue how I can fix this without having to reflash which is a massive pain in the arse.
If anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it!
Did you ever fix this problem? Mine has done the exact same thing! :crying:
Hi I had the same problem,I used the hasoon all in one tool to flash twrp recovery then I adb pushed a rooted stock Rom to system to remount the sdcard (Rom from andrdandy Rom list) then I adb pushed viperone s Rom to the sdcard
