LED Notification Colors - myTouch 4G General

Hey guys,
Can someone with ROOT Access check what colors of LED Notification is available for the MyTouch 4G.
I was talking to the developer of the LED Know app on the market and he said someone with root access would have to enter the following command to see the available colors.
Code:
find /sys/devices/ -name 'brightness'

/sys/devices/platform/flashlight.0/leds/flashlight/brightness
/sys/devices/platform/leds-microp/leds/amber/brightness
/sys/devices/platform/leds-microp/leds/green/brightness
/sys/devices/platform/leds-microp/leds/button-backlight/brightness
/sys/devices/platform/nov_cabc.0/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
uh 2 colors LOL
good enough?
cd /sys/devices/platform/leds-microp/leds/
ls
amber
green
button-backlight

ha ha...the developer's exact response was "my guess is that it will only have amber and green but I hope I am wrong"
Well, he wasn't wrong after all.
Thanks man.

not a prob anything to get the development moving on this device before it disappears... or i brick it LOL

wouldn't turning on both green and amber at the same time make a third color?

What im wondering is if we mix colors or take led files from another device and push. although the two diff colors green and amber mixed looks like when your charging the phone if you look close the green is on too... i think
anyone know how to add a color? or mix and match with the 2 colors we have?

To add a color you would have to actually add on another led. You can't just add another color with a code because led only have colors that was originally put on them. If nobody put a green led for the full charge notification. No green led would be available. I'm pretty sure I'm accurate on my statement but if I'm wrong feel free to correct

Or maybe a green-amber....green,amber....green,amber blink pattern.

Could have sworn I see when almost charged a mix of both. Like full amber with light green.
Or, just really really tired when I.plug in at night.

I find the LED almost useless on this phone, as it's so small and dim compared to other phones. My hand reaches from the phone to turn it on, and my eyes fall on the notification bar for any alerts. I never glance at the LED.

I wish the LED would blink through the charging/charge light. If its sitting on the charger it stays solid, even if you have an alert waiting for you.

I've just been conditioning my battery, and definitely get red when dying (no question, it is RED). So I'm seeing geen, amber, red.

If you look close there are only two leds, green and amber. Amber flashes with low battery, green with notification and full battery. And both when charging.next time you plug in your phone look closely and you will see both amber and green on making orange

All look same to me. I'm colorblind. And the standard red/green/amber used as a status on electronic equipment is just a light to me. Sucks when I'm in a datacenter trying to fix network equipment.

[Q] LED? Colors?

Is there anything new with led notifications with the sensation? On the hd2 it's only green and red. I have yet to read anything on the led for this device.
Thanks.

Green orange red.
Better than nothing IMO.
from the user guide
§ Solid green light when HTC Sensation is connected to the power adapter or a
computer and the battery is fully charged.
§ Flashing green light when you have a pending notification.
§ Solid orange light when the battery is being charged.
§ Flashing red light when the battery level reaches very low.

LED goes off after 5 minutes
Hi,
the green light goes off after 5 minutes. Is there a possibility to prolong this?
I have already tried out these apps:
Missed Call, Missed Reminder, LED me know, Handsent, Go Sms. Always the same light stops after 5 minutes.
Thanks!
I miss the N1 trackball colors
The red/orange/green is pretty standard with most HTC phones.
the desire was advertised as the same, but infact did blue purple etc...
The app use a command to push a number to a file using echo
i.e. 200 made blue, 300 made green etc....
tried it on the sensation with no affect

Have there been any further developments on custom colors for the notification LED?
This is one thing I'm going to miss from my BlackBerry. The LED notification light was completely customizable and went off for 15 minutes.

Not at the minute sorry - think it will come when bootloader is unlocked and can have a closer look at the file system.
Need to do more research and playing on the matter- although
i am the first to admit i dont do alot of this kind of thing just
getting interested/learning so im no expert!

[Q] So i heard this has LED notifications. How many colors does it have?

I currently have the HTC Desire but i cant stand the fact that it only supports green/orange/blue and its extremely convoluted to map them to certain notifications.
I hate how a lot of phones are moving away from LED notifications, but im glad to hear that this one has it.
So is this phone still too new to say what colors it supports? is it the standard green/orange/blue? or is it actually half decent?
red, amber, & green
no others
Damn
why cant we have an actual led like BB's ?

LED Colors?

I've tried the following three apps:
LED Color Tester
LED Tester
Light Flow Lite - LED Control
No matter what I do with any of these apps, even using the Administrative access mode, compatability mode, screen off, etc, none will show any color aside from Green.
How are people getting different colors??
I think the only colors we have are orange and green. Orange being used for charging and notifications, and green being used to signify that the battery is full.

Ok, but how are people using orange for custom notifications via the above apps?
I can't even get orange to work, even though our phone clearly supports it.
Try 'LED Me Know'

Still no other colors.
Keyboard mode doesn't work either.
Tried with Compatability on or off.
Does it work for you with other colors?
I think that the only colors we can get are orange and green, on 'LED Me Know' I can get both colors and the capacitive buttons to work just fine.
Is it possible to have that notification LED different colors at all? Like I remember with the Nexus One, the trackball was RGB. Same with our notification LED, but just needs the proper tweaking? Or not even possible?

I don't think it's possible. It's something I really miss from my BlackBerry - the LED was completely customizable.

Well, we do know it has the ability to flash GREEN, ORANGE, and RED.
So if it isn't RGB, which would be silly considering it's already 2/3, hopefully someone will find a way for us to customize it. I would prefer the LED to blink rapidly or something so I can just quick glance at it, instead of waiting a few seconds(in which case I'll just press the power button to see for myself). Sadly nothing I've tried so far will take control of the notification LED.
it can only show orange, red and green...kinda disappointing, cuz i like to use different colors for certain notifications...but its not that big a deal

Multi-Colored LED Notification?

Has anyone Confirmed that our LED is a multi-colored LED. I have not been able to change the LED notification color through Go SMS Pro, and other apps.
I'll keep looking into it, but have not seen any spec sheets that say differently.
Update: Wikipedia states that the LED Can only Flash Green or "Orange" (i see red)
It is multicolored. It was red when I plugged in, then when the battery was full it went to green.

Same results here. Red/green.
Wish I could do different colors to correspond to different app notifications but it's better than no LED on my old Fascinate.
Never realized how much I missed a notification LED until that phone -_-

Read on one of the reviews that the LED is not customizable (through light flow) and they couldn't even get the app to work even with HTC direct mode enabled.
I'm just happy there's an LED at all. Coming from an SGS2 it surely is a time saver.
here's to hoping it's just a ROM swap away from customization.
I think we are SOL on customized led notifications. The last 3 HTC devices I had (inspire, EVO 3d, and vivid) were unable to change colors.

Looks like a true multicolour LED
I know that HTC say that the notification LED can only do orange and green but I'm guessing that the hardware is multicolour capable (i.e. Red, green, orange, yellow, possibly even blue, white, etc).
I say this for the following reason; the hue of the green LED.
It is not the green colour that you normally get from a green only LED (which normally has a slightly yellowish hue). The HTC green LED colour has a blueish hue that indicates that the green comes from a multicolour LED. Also normally the orange that HTC state you should see when charging would normally come from a green and red led (or dual colour led) lit together. My HTC One X lights red NOT orange when charging.
Perhaps my observations are incorrect am I'm just seeing what I want but if anyone has a link to HTC it would be good to get an answer on this.

When commanded through Light Flow, you have three options, Green, Deep Orange (Looks red) and Orange (which is more yellowish then the deep red)
My fear is that the LED Is not an RGP LED which means we can not make every color.
any update on this for the AT&T One X?
Multicolor led can work only if some kernel dev activates it but we need the source and i have not seen any kernel devs yet working for the hox

Yeah i too miss my N1 and the trackball/LED. It was great for taking pictures (dedicated shutter) Trackball wake was the **** and the multitude of colors was a great feature. I had a different color for almost every notification. I knew if i missed a call, got an email, a text message, calendar alert, etc from the other side of the room. When my girl took it over the colored notifications was enough to catch her cheating ass in a lie (or two) lol.
eX picks up phone, reads it, says i missed a call from my mom. I'm thinking but the light was blue for text. Red is missed call. I checked it later and sure enough was a text from her ex. No missed call from mom :victory:

im just installed liquid smooth and was charging my phone when i noticed the led was blinking, alternating between green and yellow. as soon as i turned on the screen, the led went to orange. im still figuring out how the yellow was showing in the first place, anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, my english is poor, but the forum rules says: "Only in english"... xD
I'm spanish (Sevilla y olé!) and I write the best I can without using translators to learn on my own way and not, this device isn't a iPhone xD
I also have only orange and green. No red, no yellow. Unless you count the charging LED which I have labelled orange as red.
There is 'amber' and 'green'. If both are on at the same time, the result looks yellow.
Yes, this device ONLY 'amber' and 'green'... (i miss u Nexus One!)
