I've made a few themes for DROID, and now that I am running CM I put together a MM theme for 5.0.4 CM on nexus (since it works with droid as well now .
THIS MOT LIKELY WILL NOT WORK ON 5.0.5 UNLESS YOU REMOVE SERVICES.JAR (do not apply service.cpy subtheme)

WHEN APPLYING THEME MAKE SURE:
1. You do NOT have a livewallpaper running
2. And Launcher2 is not running either

Reboot when prompted to after everything installs

Almost all default apps are themed, plus some new wallpapers in the working launcher2
Also special live wallpaper can be accessed after installed via livewallpaper > nexus >settings = Dust and Dark

You use metamorph.. a free app in the market .. Install the app.. then open it up and chose the option on the left and locate the zip file on your sdcard

I have been using your 2.1 ROM patch on BB 0.8, so when I switched to cyanogen I was glad to see you working on this. It installed great for me, although I forgot the part about don't run live wallpapers on install, but that was my own fault. Second time around everything works great.

I've been loving this morph all day. You have really put some good work into it. This should be the standard themes are set to. It really reminds me of when the Dream forums had a theme competition and High quality stuff like this were the winners.

^^ This is good to hear. Just wanted some confirmation that the install went well on the Nexus, being that this was a HYPOTHETICAL them for the nexus, just by standard conventions I used on my droid. Also if there is an interest in additional screen shots let me know. Lastly, still looking for someone interested in assisting me make this in update.zip form

[THEME] PuRe

Most know this theme either from the Alpha release that we put out last month or from following on twitter about its progress. We have decided to finally release our initial build to the public and just improve and add from there. I guess we decided it was time to actually release something rather then just showing screens and putting out a build that was no where near complete. So here we are and this is the initial release of PuRe. I hope everyone enjoys it and offers feedback. We already have some new apps we are working on themeing and some improvements we plan on making to the theme overall.
The premise behind this theme is to create a white simplistic theme with slight color hints throughout. I can’t leave out that perhaps some things might have a slight edge to them. Also, we are trying to completely create a custom framework experience, along with doing the same to each apk
The majority of the image work is done by @gbianchi .. while I provided the majority of the xml edits.

I wouldn't recommend it with 1.5 due to the settings.apk being different between the two version

so i did this theme , i did as instructed , not my first theme and im a huge fan of liberty used diff roms so im not used to this soooooo, i made back up installed , and now heres what happened .
no service
settings icon, or option for settings dont work
superusser icon gone dialer dont work
cant boot into recovery, via bootstrap, rom manager, nor liberty
i try to do man rebot ho;d home while power on and all i get is a black screen with bootloader error ...
any ideas im sunk here.

I had a similar problem. I tried a bunch of things including reflashing v1.5 then back to v2.0.1 and such, but no joy. I ended up restoring to my latest previous CWM backup then going reflashing v2.0.1 from scratch. I ran that for about a day then flashed Pure again, and after about a week it seems to be running solid. I know it sucks cuz you sacrifice whatever data you gained since your last nandroid backup but I didn't see a lot of options. Good luck.

People please! please backup your phones! After you've spent all that time personalizing them, back it up (for best results : clockwork recovery: backup/restore: backup: reboot.
Now next;create a file on your computer to save APK's to. Then save an email to yourself with at least these 3 apk's attached: z4root, D2Bootstrap, and Titanium Backup (Pro)! All of these can now be re-downloaded if you loose everything and have to factory reset or SBF to stock. Just sign in to your Google accounts and goto that folder with the email attachments. Great to have in case you wipe or SD card fails too.
I would include links to upload these APK's from, but xda does not allow such ease of access/attachment. Sorry not my site.

[Themes] using zipthemer app and morph files CM6 and CM7

First lets give thanx to the develepor of the app Zipthemer, Kellinwood. Below is a link to his thread with some background and instructions with more links on how to use his special and handy app. This is the official thread for support and development of this app so please read

Keep in mind compatibility issues because you might be on CM6 rom and the morph files are for theme chooser (CM7) roms. I have personally found some stuff to work either way but it is strictly by luck because im not sure about the framework differences between 2.2.1 Froyo and 2.3.3 Gingerbread.
Next is a very useful link to get you started in using these add-ons with some more instructions and lots of ways to pick and choose certain themeing aspects of your favorite rom. I know it says it is for theme chooser but i have personally used the extreme dialer morph gray on my CM6.1.3 V1.3 Scamble Rom by Rendeiro2005. My method is to always create these update-zip and undo-zip (the files Zipthemer will create) with your stock custom rom so if it doesnt work (getting stuck at bootscreen) you can always go back to the way it was without having to restore using xrecovery. These update zips are flashable through xrecovery as a custom zip even though the suffix says "update-zip". Just remember the undo-zip brings your themes (dialer, lockscreen, entire themes, whatever you are morphing) back to the way everything was before creating the zips without messing with any of your data. Wow I hope nobody is confused but if I can do it so can you. Just try to play with it and remember the order of themeing you choose. Here is one more link for some complete themes for use in zipthemer or for the TMobile theme engine (CM7 theme chooser). I have personally used a lot of R3Ds themes on both CM6 using the morph files and the apks for the theme chooser and all is good. I will try to keep this thread updated as I find more useful links and information. I am kinda busy with my daily duties but am addicted to all the wonderful things Android can do but just remember that I am learning and have learned so much through everyone in all of the superb XDA Forums. I love my Xperia X10 and will continue to find ways to make it mine. I know everyone before me can explain in detail on instructions and how things are supposed to work but if anyone is having problems I will do my best to show how I get it to work. One last thing:

Check this site for all the customizing you could want all the way down to just changing one icon in the status bar. All of the instructions are for metamorph but it couldnt be any easier with zipthemer.

Just wanted to say real quick on my theme chooser themes... I'm not sure if they will work on the cm7 roms here... yet... I made them from what I had for those themes when I did them as cm6 eris themes so they are mainly setup for mdpi devices. However, since I'm going to be changing the yo be used on hdpi as zipthemer files I will also redo and update the theme chooser ones for hdpi as well I was debating on doing that for the theme chooser ones anyway so maybe there will be some willing testers once I have some stuff together?

Hey CondemnedSoul, i was using the only cm7 rom we have a couple weeks ago and i know i got them to work but it is hard to remember if i used your fix. When i installed the apk it would be counted in the theme chooser but after the fix it would show up. I will test anything you got but was also wondering about a morph for just the notification bar dropdown menu from blackened, skulls, and dragon themes. That is what i remember the most about your cm7 themes. The entire themes would just be as good as it gets though and thanks in advance. Im sure others and myself will test anything you got

Sweet... That's good to know then. You may have used the flashable fix for Theme Chooser I had posted if it was a couple of weeks ago. That replaced Theme Chooser with an older version so that themes that were made in windows or without a screen preview would show up in the selections. I've just recently... just about a week ago, before I released my ROM, rebuilt each of them in Linux with the T-Mobile modified SDK that's needed to properly compile the CM7 themes to be fully compatible with Theme Chooser

Hey guys I have posted a new link at the bottom of 1st post and if you want to be able to pick and choose what you cutomize on your rom this is the site for you. It can't be any easier and im not sure if anyone else is even trying these methods but it is worth it. It beats going to the UOT kitchen because there is so much more here and with the option to undo everything without having to do a long ass restore.

The ROM will be made using cyanogenmod as a base. So you will not be facing any trouble on hardware.I will try implementing 720p recording on this ROM. I am sure that i ll make this a great success.

1.Root your phone
2.Install defy 2nd init 1.4
3.Wipe data and factory reset

5.Install google apps
6.Go to boot ----2nd init
IF you are using cyangenmod 7 then just go to custom recovery and update it as usually through custom recovery like installing cm7 nightly....
After all the steps a small step is included
1.download the file ( http://www.multiupload.com/KAIO5QKFI1 )
2.Extract it to the sd card without folders. Only files must be there. Dont put your files inside the folders.
3.Go to sense settings and then go to backup and restore.
4.Restore launcher settings and desktop configuration.
U can also suggest me which apps to remove and which one to add to this ROM

Real Sense or just Sense style apps?
sdcard.tar.gz is corrupt...
Ok no it's not. WinRAR doesn't like it but 7zip does.
This rom is only themes adw launcher etc looking at the zips.

Its only sense launcher and i m going to add sense clock which only works in HTC sevices. I am also going to add some apps so that you need not search market for those apps.This rom is not mainly meant for hardware fixes. This rom is mainly meant for customisations . i will post the screenshot

Why not a real sense port?

Many will go for cyanogenmod 7 when compared to sense. But This Rom should be customized by members. I ll also try that

Look ok. But rather doubtful to everybody here. I'm not towards condemning but isn't it most of the work you put into can be obtain easily by everyone. Nothing more compelling from here would suggest people to flash this rom as I see. It's a great work anyway in term of self satisfying and nothing more. Very sorry dear friend..

For some of you who haven tried this ROM before and looking for ICS-ish looks, i suggest you give This ROM a try/chance. Just follow the instructions and you will get it eventually

HOWEVER, when i was comparing SSGalaxyNexus ICS homescreen with x10's homescreen, (i'm sincerely apologize if i accidentally intrigued some of you) . Something still different. Yes, the apps' title in Homescreen Dock/HotSeat/Backstage. Title is hidden in Nexus but not in x10. So it somehow made me feel uncomfortable. I have tried various Launchers as default Home for X10, but many other problems come along after one problem is solved.
Until i recently visited this thread, yes!! I found such NICE xperiaHome Launcher by developer Lazar Dimitrov, which i never seen so complete among my trials. Not just all my previous problems are fixed, like Hiding App's Title Preferences, SE Photo And Video Widget Not-Visible-Problem. Tested Non-Spyware and battery Drain-free.

But still, i kinda not satisfied about its application drawer's icon and its backstage png. It's more like XperiaS-themed instead of ICS-themed. So i tried to modify its icon instead of messing its

Installation Instruction same like flashing: Xrecovery, Install Custom Zip, And Reboot Tested In DonutHD ROM2.2
It's my first time to zip/repack/modify and work this file and Hope you all like it Feel free give some feedback and comment after trying the file. The Launcher was my beginning material to be modified. Also Thanks to the developers and seniors ,for providing such launchers, roms, and themes to begin with. Enjoy. LONG LIVE xPERIA Haha !!
