Epic 4G, set to allow non-market apps, rooted, stock rom.
Purchased app Roam Control from store. Next day I know there's an update and check downloaded apps. Not there. Check in regular market, not there. Uninstall app and get refund notice. Check again, not there.
Go to AppBrain. Do search, app is there, try to install and then get:
Not found The Requested item could not be found
Get QR code. I get the website list and source data. If I click to launch, I immediately get "location can't be found."
Other apps seem fine and able to install.
Made backup did hard reset and tried without restoring. Same thing.
The vendor found info on corrupt build.prop files for some HTC phones and the Moment on XDA..
Is this likely the problem? And does anyone have the correct to correct it for the Epic?
I deleted the Youtube application on my phone, and i can't watch youtube videos anymore or other videos online.
Anyone hwo could help me?
Go to the Market, download it again. Just search for Youtube.
I found mny YouTube applications, but non of them is the same as i got on my phone. I tried to download a couple of the applications i found, but i still got the message "No applications can perform this action".
If you had the old version of the YouTube app, you wont find it on the market. The new one is slightly different but maintains the same functionality. It'll say Google as the developer.

Maybe I'm stupid but I could not find any youtube apps by google when I searched for "youtube"
I'm fairly sure it's only available if you have 2.2.
Are you rooted?
Yes, i'm rooted
I got android 2.1 (x10 mini pro), does that mean that I cant install it again?
It should still come up. Google made it modular like Gmail so that different versions of Android could run it. For now you can play Youtube videos from the youtube mobile website. Those will play with the Android's built-in video player.
EDIT: This is the app. http://www.appbrain.com/app/youtube/com.google.android.youtube
Either use AppBrain or search the Market for "com.google.android.youtube"
When I click the link "download directly from the android market" in the page you linked to, I get the message "the requested item could not be found".
Try this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817528
Well, should never uninstalled it in the first place.
I tried the method you linked to, but when i was going to install the application I got the message "Application not installed".
I went here on PC and found:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/beta/
Supported devices lists the Captivate.
I tried the QR Code or typing in http://Firefox.com/m/beta
both take me to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/m/beta
and show "Download for Android" "free beta version"
When I click it my phone says:
"Not found" "The requested item could not be found."
(I think its actually giving me that message from the market)
By holding down on the link for a second and pressing open in new window I see the URL is:
market://details?id=org.mozilla.firefox
So then I go to the market and search for Firefox and Firefox Mobile and Fennec.
However all I find is "Firefox" by Appvision for $1.99 - seems like a fake...
Did AT&T and Samsung remove it from the market?
Is there some other way I can legally get the apk and side load it or something?
Side note before you guys tell me that I don't want to download it.
I want it so I can test my website in it - not because I think it will be better than the built in browser.
It works for me. I am, though, running a custom ROM, Perception, so that might have something to do with it. If you have root, download Market Access from the market, and change your carrier to T-Mobile. Then try again to see if it takes you to the download.
You can download the app here and then install it. You'll have to enable sideloading.

Hi
I updated my Galaxy S to android 2.2.1 yesterday using Kies (I live in Finland and we got it already). After the update, I haven't been able to find some apps in the market. The two apps in particular are the official Wolfram Alpha app (paid for already) and Digital Clock Widget by Maize.
I tried searching for them on the market and I also tried to scan their barcodes linking to the market pages, but no help. The barcode link gave me the "Not found" error.
The barcodes:
products.wolframalpha.com/android/
androidmaize.blogspot.com/2009/05/digital-clock-widget.html (old, wonder if still working)
Sorry about the links not being complete, I haven't posted enough so the forum doesn't let me post full addresses.
Is it a problem with android updates? That some apps take a while to update their market profile for new versions or something? I did a factory reset after updating. Can someone please verify that at least these apps are visible right now on the market?
Hello all,
I rooted my nexus s, everything works fine but android market. If google does this to rooted hones then it's a sick move as they allow us to root our phones and hide major apps from market if you are rooted. DOesn't make sense to me.
But again I am not sure if this was supposed to be like it is.
I ave android market 2.3.6 but ir doesn't list major apps like facebook or any google app. When I try a QR code it says "cannot find link"
Am I missing anything here? I wish to stay rooted with OEM ROM and wonder if there is a way to make my android market work?
Edit :
When I go to web version of market and chose an app, for most of the apps it says "your device's content rating filter is incomptabile"
