So, I don't know about the rest of you, but I love the Captivates Battery door. I got my fascinate around the same time my friend on AT&T switched from an Iphone to a Captivate, and I have to say that although I love my phone more, I love the material and feel of the Captivates battery door. I want to find a replacement battery door made out of similar materials!! Anyone find anything?
For Reference:
See Attachment.
So far there aren't any battery door replacements out there other than the stock one
Get the kickstand backplate/case I posted in this forum, problem solved, and even the Captivate doesn't have a kickstand case like this...

This is only one i found on ebay. I was going asking if anyone has tried this yet.
There are 2 types, that I know of.
One like the link above, and one that is full across the back
I got the second type of back, (link) for $12, as I like how it adds protection for the camera lens
I got the battery from here, (link) and it comes with a the first type of back for $18
I don't mind how it thickens the phone, and it actually makes holding when I type on the hw kb a lot more comfortable.
With the 3500mv battery, I was able to have my Epic OC'ed to 1.4GHz, brightness set to 100%, have BT, WiFi, GPS, & 4G on all day, and use the phone normally, and the battery still was over 48% when I got home from work, 10 hours later.
If the price for that is a little extra thickness, I will take that any day. Espically since I can always put the stock battery and back on if I want to use the slim profile for some reason.
Whoops...the link i posted was for a phone cover with the extended battery, not the battery cover. When you buy an extended battery from the same ebay seller he includes the battery cover. This is the case to protect the phone.

The case is ok but right now moretalktime is making a updated version that makes the access to button layouts better. I currently have it but im sending back in and waiting for the updated version since the case blocks some basics features like the speaker and the mic hole.
Can't one use the clip in holster where the face of the phone is facing the holster nd the back of the phone faces outward? A holster similar to the one used with the Seidio Active X cases?

I got tired of the extra bulk and ended up replacing it with an extra OEM battery. I'm keeping it around incase I go on a road trip however.
edit: Nevermind. I just reread your original post

Yes...the hip belt clip case by Eddie Bauer sold at Best Buy works great with the extended battery.
Hey,
I used to be on the look out for cases for most of the smartphones I've had. Mainly to protect them, but they always managed to make the phone look ****.
I dropped my sensation the other day a work and it got scratched to buggery( The battery door that is not the screen). My work mates cracked up as they knew i liked to look after it. Some of them saying i should get a case for it , showing me their cased up iPhone 4's.
Then i found the beauty of HTC having made it a unibody construction and bought a replacement battery door from ebay for £25.
Now it looks brand new again. My work mates thought i had bought a new phone! (tards).
So now i use the scratched battery door for work and slip on the fresh one for when not.
So no point buying a case as the battery doors are so cheap. And cases/covers look ugly.
Depends if the replacement is actually OEM - I don't like buying replicas
Yes, I was worried about that, but its definitely OEM. Ill post the seller.:

Irie.
Well there are reasons why people use cases (shock absorption,...) but I agree with you. Also, I don't see why some people prefer the unibody of Desire HD/S compared to Sensation. I like it much better this way and you can make the phone different color by just replacing the back
Swyped from my HTC Sensation
I don't actually NEED a case. Having one does give me piece of mind though. Plus, if I ever do drop my phone, there's a much less chance of the screen hitting first and shattering.

The glossy black tpu case I bought does not make the sensation look ugly. It also gives me peace of mind, plus it is much cheaper than a battery door.

I bought the same one. I like the look of the phone, so I refuse to use a case. I would like a real nice screen protector, one that fits, but the few I've tried suck.
I just purchased an extended battery for my Nexus S 4G, this one specifically:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocell-3500mAh-Extended-Battery/dp/B0053735IY
Now, I have no complaints with the battery, it's fantastic. However, the new back that it came with is very cheaply made, and I'm afraid it's going to break. I also don't really like the feel of the material.
Does anyone know of any cases that can fit a Nexus S 4G with an extended battery in it? I've been Googling around and have yet to find anything. I've pretty much just resigned to being careful with the back, but I figured I'd ask you all to see if anyone knows of something that will fit. I was using a silicone case before (tight fit, good to grip) but anything would pretty much be better than the back of this.
Thanks!
Did you have looked in Power-Skin?
I'd put the link but the system don't leave me... Because I have less than 10 post...
But one of my friend use it on a IPhone and he say its amazing...

You're probably not going to find any cases to accommodate the larger battery. Thats why I went a different route and got multiple 1500mah batteries. I keep one in my wallet just in case the one in my phone dies, I wind up with almost the same battery (3500mah extended vs 2 1500mah batteries) but get to use any case I want.

Anyone who has used an extended battery for our Verizon GS3, what brands are good or what have you had good experiences with? I never messed with an extended battery before. And yes, I do know if they are big it will come with a new back cover for compatibility of the thickness.
I personally haven't used any extended batteries yet, but within the last couple hours a lot of the android news blogs have been posting about genuine samsung brand batteries at 3000mah. Looks like you get an extended case with it that doesn't seem 'that' big.
Still it's 60 bucks though, more than I paid for the phone, haha.
Edit: ugh.. since I'm a new member apparently I can't post links yet, just google: samsung galaxy s3 extended battery
You should see it in the news.
I picked up the Hyperion 4400 of eBay for like 25 and it's amazing. I get around 9 hours screen time the larger back feels much better in my hands. And there customer service is amazing. The back was as little loose so I emailed them and they sent me a brand new back... And battery!
By the way there is a couple really good comparison threads in the accessories section you may want to check out.
If I helped you in some way.... pass on the favor and help the next person!

I picked up the Qcell batteries and a charger for $36 a few months ago on Amazon, now it's just $25 for two batteries and charger..
I've been very pleased with them!
Wife's using the QCell 4200 mAh battery. She loves it. She uses it all day, and has yet to see it go below 60%. And she spends the entire work day in a lower signal area.
Hyperion works great. I got the 4200 with NFC. My cover cracked too and I emailed them and the same day they sent me a new one with no questions asked.

NFC would be nice, though I don't use it much I still like the option if I need to use it. Sounds like great customer service right there.

We've had the phones for going on three months now. So about 2.5 months. It's a great battery. Battery cover isn't so hot though. It's the same thickness around the entire cover. So the camera and flash are in these deep holes. Pictures without flash come out ok, but pictures with flash have sort of a pinhole effect where the picture is much brighter around the center, and too dark at the edges. I'm getting her a Seidio back that I've been told will fit. The Seidio back tapers toward the top, so that the camera and flash are not covered at all. I had the same type of back with my old Evo, and it worked perfectly.

I purchased the Anker 4400mAh Extended battery off of Amazon for $20 (it doesn't support NFC though). I have had the phone on for over two days at one point with medium to heavy usage, and it still hasn't reached below 40%. The only downside I didn't consider when purchasing an extended battery was that the cases I had previously bought to cover the phone would not fit of course, so I purchased two additional extended battery cases (which aren't all that great compared to the standard cases). Check out the reviews on that battery, most of them are excellent.
Right now I rock the Seidio Kickstand case and I know they make another case for extended batteries. I've been happy with this cases so I'm a try it out.
Once I get the Seidio back to use on the Qcell battery and verify that it does indeed fit, I am going to pick up the Seidio kickstand case for it. I have the kickstand case that fits the stock battery right now, and it is a great case!

Right on. Seidio does good work. I like the fact that the kick stand cases are soft on the side but hard on the outside. I read the extended battery version is made for the 3,500 mAh battery but my colleague bought the extended back (not the battery, just the back cover + extended case) and he said it fits his other extended batteries that exceeded 4,000 mAh.
I bought a Hyperion 3800 mAh battery a while back for my Verizon GNEX so that I would have a reasonable battery life with it. It came with a battery and new backplate. Well, I've had it in a Seidio Extended Battery case and haven't really been paying much attention to the back until I took it out a few weeks ago to reset it and I found out that the little tabs that hold the bottom of the back plate in place had snapped off or worn off at some point. No big deal since I keep it in the case and it holds everything together. Well this weekend I ordered a G2 and I plan on selling my GNEX and I didn't want to sell it to someone with a defective back plate so I contacted them about buying a replacement cover. They are shipping me one free of charge even thought I've had the battery for a while now. I thought that was pretty good. The Customer Service reps were very friendly as well.
Anyway, just wanted to give kudos to them since they have been so helpful with all of it! We see plenty of complaints about companies around here, I thought it would be nice to praise a company when they do something RIGHT!
Right on. I also like to give good feedback like that.
