[Q] new phone

I am lost once more....
been looking forward to buy a nw phone (android) but.... darn you destiny
i was definately going for xperia neo, but now its delayed, was looking to desire s, but the community is ... low and its got a few big issues i dont like, then was almost up for optimus 2x, but its got TONS of software (even hardware sometimes) issues ... so now im not sure wethere i will buy that one heck of a phone otherwise.
i need some advice guys >.< and dont suggest sensation/ galaxy s / galaxy s 2 phones...im not into those

What about an Incredible S? Or an Xperia Arc? They'll be unlocking the bootloader on that one too!

i thought about the arc, but its just got some major design flaws... not liking that,
edit, did some thinking, optimu8s 2x is just having wayy too many issues ,neo is a nice phone, love the UI, but... meh the build materials
now im stuck between desire S and incredible S.... kind of, only thing holding me back from htc is the locked bootloader probably not gonna b CM 7 on them...

Depending on who you ask, that's not a bad thing
They're much-of-a-muchness. Incredible is bigger, Desire is more svelte. It's hard to know where the bootloader progress is without having access to the Dev forums.

Help on phones

Any body can give me some advice on which android phone to buy.....I have budget of 100$ to 200$ so any gud phone plz...

You can buy a samsung galaxy for $200 on ebay.

The samsung galaxy S is a good choice if you can get a nice one from ebay.

But that doesn't come new plus my brother has it so I really don't want get mixed up....I saw a good phone Lg optimus P500 wasn't sure whether it is a good buy or a bad...I am so confused which one to buy!!!!???

There are lot of options with android phones as ur budget s 100$ to 200$ u may have an option.You can try out for
Lg thrive HTC TAToo LG Optimist Q LG optimist S

Another vote for Samsung Galaxy.
Or HTC Desire.

Thanks everybody but where I lived Samsung Galaxy S is 700$ so I have Lg optimus one P500 which also has Android 2.3.1 update...Thanks everybody. Any more suggestions I can surely have a look....

lol actually price wise motorola is actually quite good but if u love custom roms and all that, NEVER BUY MOTOROLA!! at least until they unlock their bootloader. i would suggest the htc desire too!! hope that helps!

k. but I already have an htc wildfire this is just to that it to school but motorola sucks. Lg optimus P500 is a better choice but any another phone I will surely have a look. Anyway thanks androidlover123.

I would also suggest you a Samsung Galaxy.
Or if you want to go with HTC, the HTC Desire sounds like a good choice!

[Q] galaxy r vs optimus 2x

hey guys i am new here and i want to buy galaxy r.
Now that this phone has its own forum is it worth buying or else i should go for lg optimus 2x.

In theory the Galaxy is better than 2X, especially because it has 1GB RAM against 500Mb (lg). There are others advantages and even some disadvantage like that we don´t have HDMI output, but in general Galaxy R is more powerfull, and better phone i think.

LG 2X has better scene and HDMI output but samsung has better hardware and software.

The main advantage of o2x is that it has a big community for custom ROMs,
but this new forum proves that galaxy r is also going to have as big community

true.. having this forum is a big step for SGR community..
after all we r already have root and custom kernel.. and few new update up to 2.3.6
o2x is not bad either but it was a fail development since LG release Gingerbread after almost a year it launched.
I think SGR a bit better due to its hardware (more ram is a must now days!).. playing games is smooth and steady..

I haven't use 2x.
I use SGR for 2 mouths,and this is really a nice mobilephone

I prefer Samsung to LG.

Hey guys me really confused between Galaxy R and Lg O2x....how is Galaxy R's out of the box functionality ... Is it laggy like Lg?? There are no good reviews available on the net for Galaxy R .. Can some here please review the phone..

Lag in our SGR?? I didn't have any problem, it's faster with nvidia tegra2.

LOL!!! true... I am also planning to buy Galaxy R and while going through the Lg O2x forums many users advised against buying Lg O2x
Okay one final question before I seal the deal on Galaxy R can it open .pdf files smoothly with no lags as I have tons of Graphic intensive ebooks (for studies) which I plan to read on it..

If you don't want to often kill process will buy Galaxy R

Many people at the Galaxy Ace forums compare the Galaxy Ace to other phones .
We give our personal experience becaude he also probably asked the other side .
We told him not to buy the Ace

SGS2. Clear choice.
Check out www.gsmarena.com and use their compare option.

I say Galaxy Nexus if on VZW if not import (if you can) for T-Mobile or ATT. Since this has awesome dev support, Nexii always do. Or just wait for quad core phones CES is next week. If you can't wait I say gs2 on any carrier but VZW

Galaxy S II is the clear winner from that list, Build quality wise only the HTC beats it.. otherwise for dev support, playing games & good battery life Galaxy S II wins

i actually find Samsung to be the only one that actually listen to what customer wants, and they have been doing great at it these last 2 years

not sure if you have seen the drop test of Galaxy phones vs Iphones
but just today i had my first hand real life experience
took the phone out of my front shirt pocket, shoulder height and my fingers slipped, it went face down straight to a concrete floor (it bounced like 4 times before coming to a full stop) and it's still alive and kicking, except for a few scratches on the bezel everything is fine.
as you can see from y siggy, it's a SGS2 from Tmo

Just get a samsung epic you can get them brand new for like $200 or so, with a memory card, the II isn't worth the extra money.

I have a LG Optimus One P500 (The most awesome, 600mhz, Jelly Bean running phone! :laugh: )
And I wanted to know if I should get a phone or stay with this one.
My range is $150-$300, THOUGH I could exceed a bit.
My choices are:
HTC One V
LG Optimus Black
Xiaomi Mi-One Youth
I would've chosen the Mi-One, but it has to be shipped all the way from China, and I have to pay in advance, so I'm not really sure about that.
Also! If YOU guys have any phone that is in the price range, and is good, please vote as other and post it!

If you can exceed your budget by $50 you can get Google nexus. Way better than optimus.

Out of those options I'd say Optimus. However, if you're on the market for a 600 MHz phone, I might recommend getting an X10 Mini Pro for a much cheaper price (if you can find it used) or, even better, an SK17 Mini Pro.

if i were you i would wait until google release a Nexus Quad-Core... and while waiting... save $$ for that !!! it will be the best phone ever! awesome hardware + google updates xd
