Hey guys, Im new to the forum bc Ive just started the whole modding deal. I want to assure you up front that I work for a Verizon agent and this deal is totally legit. I have offered this over on some softball websites Im on and have helped quite a few people. With that being said here is the deal...
If you have started a NEW line of service (not and add-a-line or upgrade) w/ Verizon in the past 3 months I can get you a $25 Visa Gift Card. Just send me a message and I'll explain it to you in more detail. No spam, no hidden gimmicks. Card usually takes about a month to arrive to you. Thanks for your time. Just thought Id pass out the offer to fellow boards brothers and sisters during the holidays.
So I bought a smartphone (vibrant) off craigslist second handed and the earpiece began to malfunction. I am on a pay as you go so the imei will not transfer to my account when I use. No problem, used live chat on tmobile, asked the agent to transfer my number to the imei, worked and my replacement is arriving. No questions asked about a trade, buy or anything. Ta Da!
I'm just about to do the same thing. I'm gonna pick up an HTC Sensation tomorrow from CL and was wondering if it could be warrantied. The phone is less than 6mo old so it's impossible for it to be outside the warranty time.
The worry I had is them not having a purchase record of the phone. So as long as the IMEI is legit (and no blemishes), it's covered, no questions, right?
Thank you thank you thank you for your post!
Edit: I can't find the "thanks button"....?
As This is my first post i would like to introduce myself, My name is Brian aka HoBo_Man. Ive been lurking around and gathering great information from XDA and decided this would be a great community to be involved with. So here i am with my first question as im not too fond of Sprint and there 90 day ESN clearing that I've read about. Well heres the deal a while back i bought this Evo 3D from a friend at work with a known bad ESN from past bills owed on the phone. Well just checking my self i checked the ESN on free esn checking site and sure enough it came back bad. Ok so decide to just let the phone collect some dust for about a month and a half, then decided to check it again since I've read about these rumors of sprint clearing the ESN's. Well the site said the ESN is good now? Is this a legitimate site to check ESN or should i investigate further? If i sell this phone i don't want to state that it's clean if it's not?
Also another quick question. Recently bought another Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II with a known (Bill owed). Well the guy sold me the phone thinking the ESN was going to be bad because of the bill. Well i just checked the ESN (On free ESN check site?) and it came back good? The phone i know has been disconnected for about 2-3 weeks now. My question is does it take sprint a while to black list the ESN after disconnection? Or do some phones get lucky and slip their mind?
Any help is really appreciated in advance. Thanks.
Total invested in these phones
Evo 3D - $30.00
Galaxy S II - $35.00
Also is their any evo 3d Tuts on flashing to straight talk or is it like the galaxy s ii flash? Or what are the dial passwords for the main settings of the evolution?

Hello friends. My Sprint account is going to be cancelled on the 5th of next month. I was with sprint last 10 years and I wanted to leave and see some other networks. So yesterday I received an email from sprint and it says plz come back and we'll give you $300 each line you reconnect! I just shocked because that's huge offer. I have 10 lines so 10 X 300 =3000?? So my question is what they mean reconnect because I'm still with sprint. One more week left until my account completely canceled. Do I ahve to still leave and then port the numbers back? Sorry if I asked wrong question but I need your opinions. Thank you!
You asked the right question, but you need to ask a sprint representative. If you can't get what you want with support/sales call, ask to be escalated to retentions department. That's the way I've always gotten the best deal, when at the end of a contract. I usually take whatever I can get at that time, because Sprint is still killing the competition.
Consider Project Fi
It's a good way to get Sprint's network (and T Mobile's too) for much cheaper monthly rates, if you don't use tons of data.
Also a good way to get a discount on a Nexus phone if you want one.
Hello. This is the first time I've posted to the forum although I have visited before to seek help with other android issues.
I would be forever grateful to anyone who could help me with a ridiculously frustrating problem I am having network unlocking an Alcatel phone.
I bought this phone for my son last year. It was a Virgin PAYG. At the end of last year, I was offered a month to month contract with Virgin which I accepted. Long story short, after being a customer of Virgin for years, through their errors on my account which they refused to rectify, I decided to leave them. I asked for the network unlock code. I was willing to pay for it. Virgin said they would give it to me free. I was surprised. So, they look at my account and say they can't give me the code because my phone is not "registered" to that account. I was like, what? This same song and dance has gone on for weeks. At one point, they were submitting a form for the code. A week later I called them and they said they couldn't submit it after all because it wasn't "registered." They said contact Alcatel. I did, and Alcatel said contact Virgin. It's like beating your head against a wall.
I tried two online unlocking services who couldn't unlock it.
A third said there was an issue with the "provider ID?"
At this point, I am seeking help from this community whom I've seen work magic for other cases.
ANY advice would be appreciated as my son desperately needs his phone to keep in contact with his family.
Thank you!
