2.1 Update is now available for the Cliq, im still waiting on cliq xt to get its update. Does anyone with a an upgraded cliq know if the tango app is available for it?
I keep reading different things that it works with 2.1 and up or that it only works with 2.2
Can anyone verify this? Thanks!
*I basically want to be able to connect a cliq through tango with a mytouch 4g.

Is anyone else noticing Google Earth missing from the Android Market?
I'm seeing this on:
1) Motorola Milestone, Telus (Canada), Android 2.1 update, unlocked, Fido SIM card, rooted. Protected apps such as A Online Radio and Paperdroid Pro show up okay.
2) Nexus One, AWS version, AT&T SIM card, Froyo pre-release. Protected apps do not show up okay on this one (Google doesn't seem to have whitelisted this fingerprint yet).
Also on HowardForums another user with a non-rooted stock 2.1 Telus Milestone, running on Telus, is seeing the same thing.
Please report your results and include the model, original carrier, actual carrier you're using it on, Android version, whether you're on stock or a modded ROM, and whether you're rooted.
Thanks!
Downloading it now on stock evo with unrevoked root

sicne i got my phone a few weeks ago google earth has not shown up. i have a droid eris, when i got it it was running ota 2.1, now it is rooted 2.1. didn't work either way. i figured it was the same thing as when all the other apps were missing for me (handcent etc), but everything else came back except google earth.
It's now reappeared on my stock 2.2 FRF50 Nexus One. Still no sign of it on the rooted Milestone.
I'm pretty sure that an arm11 processor is required for it, hence why it doesn't show up on the droid. As per the nexus, I have no clue just google for the apk and adb push it to your phone.

XT720 will not get update...
Just curious as to what really is the difference between the moto milestone and the xt720?
Reason i ask is i am thinking about renewing my contract with Telus and i do not know which phone to choose? i like androids and i like a slider type phone, i currently own a **** samsung Omnia i910 and it is driving me crazy with the battery dying within a few hours.
I upgraded my ROM to the 6.5 successfully but do not like the phone at all anymore.
If you want a phone that has a higher probability of being supported, get the milestone. If you want a phone with a really good camera and will not get 2.2, get the XT720. I think the milestone can be customized with newer ROMs, too. It doesn't seem to be possible with the XT720.
Well, I heard that there were Korean users who flashed to Milestone XT720 firmware and got it to work.
I'm assuming the opposite is true and that we will be able to flash to MOTOROI's firmware and get it to work.
I have korean motoroi and after installing Russian, Europian and USA firmware on it i met several problems:
1. Proximity sensor stoped working
2. G-Sensor Stoped working
3. 3G works but very very poor it lost signal and turned to "+" only when i turned to 2g mode signal appeared again and even in 2g mode signal was not so strong as it was on Korean Firmware
4. Sms didn't send in 3G Mod
You can say that it probably because of different Band but i installed the same firmwares to USA XT720 and everything works perfect on it. Maybe it's because of different bootloader? Korean bootloader has version 80.86.
Why i wanted to install another firmware to motoroi? Because Korean firmware has some problems too:
1. Don't send sms when i put Network Access Point. And it doesn't send sms even after turning off network connection.
2. I can't apply USSD commands because of appearing "-" after "*" and i think korean firmware doesn't even support USSD commands

there's no update only for Canada & EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) phones. US, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions are not yet decided ... so ... wait and wish, may be Santa Claus will bring you a Froyo.
Welp, time to enlist my XT720 on Kijiji/Craigslist.
korea xt720 will get 2.2.1 froyo at next week (25) (christmars present?)
i got the information from by motorola korea developer's tweeter
i have a I1 motorola and its running android 1.5 but sinced it is a nextel phone it also runs on an iden netork as well is there a way to upgrade to the android 2.2 software to make it faster or not if anyone has an answer for me i would appreciate it
Hey guys, I've got a question for you. I've got a Verizon Droid X running on the leaked Gingerbread, and I need to sbf back to froyo. HOWEVER, i'm currently out of the country, but I do have wifi. Will I be able to do google activation over wifi, and will Verizon activation work when I get back to the states?
I have an MZ601 3G Xoom that I purchased in Asia. I will be going to the US in a few weeks, and was wondering if someone could clear up a few things for me:
1. Is my Xoom eligible for the 4G upgrade?
2. If so, will I still be able to use my Xoom on 3G networks when I am in Asia and Europe?
3. How would I go about doing the upgrade in that it seems to be through Verizon and this Xoom has never been affiliated with Verizon?
4. Since I am running the EOS ICS version 1.0 ( fantastic ROM, by the way), I assume that I would need to change ROM versions after the upgrade?
I appreciate it if anyone could help clear up these questions so that I don't end up doing something that I will regret later on.
Thanks in advance!
