Hi, welcome to the forums . No, there is no development of android with the maple (dash 3g).
But yes, you can upgrade to 6.1 ( Some carriers have provided an upgrade in their sites or HTC). You can also update to WM 6.5 with a custom rom available in this forum. I will recommend you to read the sticky and various thread before you do anything to your device.

In my opinion it's not possible to register a non HTC branded device at HTC e-club, because they use different serial numbers. But you can get nearly all updates from there here in the forum.

try searching. but I don't see why you have trouble with wm6.1. WM6.1 is a lot more stable and smoother than wm6.0 in my opinion. If you have freezes, that might be due to your SPL not upgrading. All the upgrades you want is on a WM6.1. I have a tilt and I can't register on eclub either. Thats why we have the connections to xda developer community.

I am not sure if the ROM would work but even if it did you would flash some stuff you don´t need like the files for the slideout QWERTY keyboard or the scroll wheel and the front camera.
Anyway if you haven´t found this already yourself, I´d try going through this thread Jade Official ROM links

You need the specific ROM for Device to flash, otherwise all you will have is a brick...
Check the HTC Touch 3g WIKI and subforum and i'm sure you will find what you need.

When I bought my tilt on ebay, it was sluggish, and sometimes non-repsonsive on win 6.1. I did a lot of reading, and decided to flash a rom from xda. I found that my phone had been flashed before, it had olipro's first spl. After I went to jockyw2001 3.29 spl and flashed Sakajati's Rhodium, it was like night and day. It was like "can this phone really be so cool?" I've been upgrading roms ever since. Like one poster indicated, the spl might be your problem. IMHO, you'll not find any better roms than what is cooked at XDA, superior to stock in so many ways.

Sorry all but....
I am simply trying to find out how to flash my HTC TYTN II from Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5. The only thing I have sucessfully managed to do so far was to re-flash the orginal ROM the phone shipped with from the HTC web site. Is it a problem with my phone or is the HTC ROM update program user friendly in some way (looks identical!?) that no others here would seem not to be? I have read no end of programs that seem to need to be used or installed on the PC and\or phone but no clear set of end to end instructions when using the images from here!? I have tried 4 or 5 different ones and all lose connectivity as soon as the program starts to try and flash my phone. Fortunately pulling the battery and powering back up restores normal functionality. This leads to my final question please. Do HTC write user friendly ROM update software for their devices that work without anything else needed where no else seems to or am I missing something? If nothing else assuming I need to this manually could someone please point me to where I can finda full set of instructions please?
What other than updates that simply seem no to work on my phone am I missing soemthing. I am even more seriously considering the Nokia N97 now as Symbian updates are simple to apply and work out the box! Not like these nightmares it would seem!

WM 6.5 has been announced but not officially released, so there is no HTC update. I don't know what you have been trying to download.
The only 6.5 roms available are cooked roms derived from leaked betas of WM 6.5 or roms derived from M$ development tools packages. So if you want an HTC/M$ 6.5 rom, you are out of luck, because it does not exist.

Is it safe to do that? or should I be worried about some complications?
what kind of knowlege I should have to do that? or does it as simple as having a new windows operating system on my laptop?
where can I find a step by step clear, simple english, instructions how to do that?
Is it different from the upcoming official windows mobile 6.5? am I going to be able to download applicatons from the upcoming offical windows mobile marketplace?

You will need to find a rom specific for your phone
first find out if you have a GSM or CDMA carrier, if you try to flash a GSM rom to a CDMA phone you will brick it. (brick = bad)
then check out a rom website like for example, MightyRom

If you follow instructions you won´t have any problem. On my opinion cooked ROM´s by our great chefs here at XDA are much much better than the official ones
Then enter to blackstone section and select your 6.5 desired ROM

Hi all.
Ive been looking for downgrade too to avoid wm 6.x software redesign. First of all, i have no experience with rom development, but concerning the hardware compatibilities, TG01 from toshiba does have the same hardware (proc, chipset ...) as HTC Trophy (compared them in pdadb) and also there were (cant find them now) official ROMs from toshiba with wm6.5 - so finally my question, is there some way to port/use directly these toshiba ROMs (in case someone could find them) for HTC trophy? Thanks for reply.

I would "pray" that such a thing may be possible then, but you'd need to get some people with REAL know how to make it happen.
There are other HTC devices that can run WP7/WM6.5/Android.. so why not HTC Trophy?
