[Q] transparent bars on sense ui

I have a rooted HTC desire and without having to flash a custom rom is there a way to make the top and bottom and lock bars transparent like they are here:

The built in theme manager for cyanogen roms let you theme it a different color, don't know if you can with stock?

The image you need to change is in:
framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/overscroll_glow.png
also
framework-res.apk/res/drawable-mdpi/overscroll_glow.png

You can find his image on the web and the corresponding boot animation. That's the only place where you actually see the new logo.

look nice, but how can i revert back to Samsung if I wanted to ? Is their any folder to backup ? Just want to keep it in case i want to revert, would want to flash whole ROM again just for icons lol
