Connecting phone while in clockwork - General Questions and Answers

Confused, when my phone is hooked up to my computer and android is running, AndroidSDK\tools command runs fine and is connected.
But when I boot into clockwork and I try to start working with ADB shell (I've been trying to partition my SD card), it tells me Error: Device Offline.

Roach's newest recovery only reads from the internal sdcard not the removable one.
Since you can get to recovery, all you need to do is connect the tf101 to a computer via USB, mount the USB storage in recovery which makes the tf101 appear like a flash drive to the computer. Then copy the ROM from your computer to the tf101. Last, unmount USB disconnect the tf101 from the computer and flash the ROM in recovery as normal.

Wiped SD card phone wont boot

So basically i looked around on the forum cause i was getting crap battery and it said to wipe your SD card cause you might have a dodgy file on the phone, i did that and now the phone wont boot at all i dont have any roms to flash on it and the computer wont even seem to recognise it when i mount usb storage in CVM anyone have a clue whats going on?? and what i can do to get a rom working on it? or get it to boot
Boot into CWM recovery and connect the phone to your computer. Make sure you have ADB installed (see the links in my signature). Type "adb devices" to see if adb recognized your phone. If yes, you can transfer a rom file to the phone storage by typing:
adb push rom.zip /data/media
*Replace rom.zip with the location of the actual rom file.
Now flash the rom.

Phone not recognised by PC

Hello,
So I made the mistake of wiping my sdcard partition, so I don't have the .zip with the ROM on the phone's memory.
The ROM I currently had was deleted aswell when I formatted /system/. Recovery works, but because I don't have an external SD card, I can not put anything on the phone memory.
So now, I can not push the zip file with adb because my Moto G is not recognised, even though I installed all the drivers (in AP Flashboot Mode) it says that the USB is connected, but "adb devices" shows nothing.
So in a few words, phone memory is empty, it's not recognised by the PC so I can not push the .zip with adb sideload.
have you tried to connect an USB stick (in cwm or TWRP)?
Probably you can mount it and install a zip.

I found a version of the Universal ADB Drivers, installed them and the adb sideload worked.
Let this be a lesson for others with phones that don't have external SD cards - NEVER delete the ROM from your phone's internal memory
FIXED
Are you using Win8 or Win7? I have read posts from people that had problems using fastboot commands in Win8.

[Q] Internal memory recovery with broken screen

Hello,
I have Samsung Galaxy Core Plus (SM-G350) with broken screen (totally black) and password set up.
I want to recover my internal card data, but any of my ideas wont work.
I have already installed CWM and tried to blindly mount /sdcard by USB, but I dont see any new drive on PC.
I wanted to root it, but any of methods I found wont work (maybe cause Im running in CWM? Yes, USB debugging is disabled).
I tried also 'adb pull', but I need to mount /sdcard (am I right?) where I get 'permission denied' error - in adb shell I cant perform any command except 'cd'.
Im thinking about flashing /data by Odin, but how to create the 'script' for it?
Anybody has any idea how can I do it?
Same Boat...
I've got a broken screen on Centura Galaxy. I managed to blindly ODIN CWM on it, and now get ADB in recovery, but debugging is off so I'm stuck with there. I've tried recovery screenshot tools to try to load rooted ROM, but had no luck. I know JUST enough to be dangerous, and not much more. Just need to get DCIM folder.
@xNombre
If this is still valid, you could try flashing TWRP onto the phone, where it should mount the SD Card automatically and it should connect to the PC automatically too. Search for TWRP (either 2.8 or 3) here on XDA
