[Q]Nand Backup? - General Questions and Answers

I have an old Tmo Wing that I wanted to revive with the new 29XXX build; can someone explain to me how to - or refer me to a tutorial/explanation - on how to do a Nand Backup or make a Recovery Backup of the ROM I have now flashed onto my device?

[Q] Quick questions about Roms...

Hello.
I have a droid incredible. 2.2 with clockwork mod and root. My question is about backing up and flashing new roms. I made a manual backup via clockwork mod of my current configuration. I'd like to test out new roms that other people have made, but I want to make sure I can always get back to my original (current) configuration via the backup. My question is if I flash another rom and it changed my radio/kernel version, will that be a problem if I try and restore my backup? Does my clockwork mod contain my current kernel/radio versions? And are there any 'gotchas' that I need to know about before I start flashing new roms? BTW, I'm planning to use rom manager to download the roms I want to test out. I saw some are upgrading the kernel and radio and this is why I'm asking if the clockwork mod backup that I took is all-encompassing.
Thanks.

[Q] What is best way to get 2.3.3 Update (w/new Baseband) on a 2.2.2 Rooted/ROM G2x

Starting a new thread so people like me can find an easy answer with the title on this thread.
In order to get the new baseband, does the OTA Update from stock ROM have a better chance of success than the LG Update tool?
If so..right now I have Froyo EaglesBlood ROM. Can someone confirm this process so I don't hit a brick wall:
*My current nandroid backup is stock ROM with root permissions*
1. Do Titanium Backup
2. Wipe Data/Cache/Dalvik?
3. Restore nandroid to Stock ROM
4. Do OTA update
5. Reinstall APX driver on Windows? (I don't understand all the problems with bad drivers leading to bricking...is that only with the LG tool?)
6. Reflash ClockworkModRecovery through NVFlash
7. Flash Rooted ROM
8. Boot up/Reboot/Reboot into ClockworkMod
9. Make nandroid & Wipe Data/Cache/Dalvik
10. Flash Custom ROM
11. Restore Titanium Backup stuff
Apologies if this is an improper post/thread in any way. Just looking for some guidance.

u8652 Fusion ATT

anyone have the default rom or recovery? thanks!!
I have a backup made with CWM 4.0.1.4 of the original phone state. Still unrooted and all. HOWEVER, when trying to retore it on another U8652 CWM throws an error when restoring the boot.img and does not complete. When I can figure out a fix (hopefully someome will help) I will make that nand backup publicly available.

[Q] On ics and restoring back roms

Hello,
As of right now I have root revolver (with nanadroid backup of it). I was considering installing this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514658
Would I be able to use my nandroid backup of revolver to rollback if it's not what I expect? Also will I be able to unroot like you do in honeycomb (Install stock fw and recovery)? I'm a bit confused because people are telling me different things. Thanks
you have to nandroid backup then flash the rom that you were using when you did the backup or else you will bootloop

[Q] Stock Rom Nandroid Restore Boot.img

Hi, I've a Desire S, S-ON running CM7 and would just like to know if it's ok to flash the boot.img found in the nandroid backup of my stock rooted rom (after the stock rom restore). Or do I perhaps have to find another one?
If in case I need another, there was a dropbox link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1616741 [Collection | 1.26 & 1.28] Fastboot Pack v1.2 but 1st) I'm in China ATM and dropbox is blocked so can't download it and 2nd) I wouldn't know/don't understand what 1.26 or 1.28 are or how they correspond.
Any advice is appreciated
When you took a nandroid backup of your stock ROM, the boot.img would also be backuped up
Just do a nandroid restore and flash the boot.img in the nandroid backup from fastboot
