Hello.
I was wondering if anyone know about an app that shows SMS counter, calls and data usage. All in the notification bar? doesn't need to be all in that one line. All the info in the drop down tab is good too, or even better.
thanks.

It's rather embarassing if I'm showing someone something on the phone and then a luvvy duvvy text from the missus pops in...

Check and make sure you have notifications checked in the messaging and phone apps.

The stock text messaging app only displays notifications in the notification bar. If you want a pop-up message when you get texts then take a look at GO SMS... it's a great app.
Sane thing goes for missed calls. There will be an icon in the notification bar but that's it. I'm not sure if there are any apps to show a pop-up for missed calls...

What icon below?
Interesting. Apparently the screenshot was not uploaded. I found out in the meanwhile. It was a dtrikethrough i , which means no notifications.

You can turn it off by re-enabling notifications on the same bar as wifi.
I don't use wifi but today what sounds like the same icon has appeared beside the clock in the notification area and I can't seem to turn it off from anywhere. I've just turned on wifi and tried that trick a few times but nothing doing. It's driving me mad not knowing what it is.
Edit - just noticed there's a notifications toggle in the notifications which I now realise is what you meant and that has fixed it, woohoo! I was turning on and off notifications in Settings, wifi, doh!

I can't for the life of me figure out why, but, my phone isn't notifying me (making a chime, or lighting up the screen) when I receive a SMS. Even if I'm using the phone I won't get a notification (meaning nothing happens in the status bar) but if I scroll across my hangouts icon I can obviously see I have new unread messages (Tesla unread plug-in). It doesn't seem to do this ALL the time, just most of the time. I've tried switching SMS clients and the same thing happens.
Any ideas?

I've had that happen before, usually the stock message app is interfering.
