One of the reasons I bought the EVO was because it had a stunning 8 MP camera with a dual led flash. There are a lot of applications for the camera and for every occasion you could use different apps to get the best possible shot. I'm sure there are a lot of photography enthusiasts on this forum who can share their pictures and discuss about the various applications and its features.

But I remember reading there was one program that was horrible for battery life.. 360camera or something..
Does anyone know if FXcamera is running after I shut it down?

Camera360. I've been using it for months and haven't had any issues. They just released a new Camera360 Ultimate with a complete UI and performance overhaul, working great but I really only use it for the HDR simulation

I wanted to share my latest app, which I made on a whim over the weekend. I was trying to think of good uses for my front-facing camera on my Nexus S, and "Scare and Share" is what I came up with.
Scare and Share is your typical "prank" app: You start the app and hand the phone to your friend. You friend thinks he's taking some test to measure his intelligence when in fact, he's about to get the **** scared out of him. Right before he's about the get the living bejesus scared out of him, the app secretly turns on the front-facing camera and begins recording his reaction. After he's been pranked, the app shows you his "reaction video". You and your friends can have a good laugh out of it, and you can post the video on Facebook to publicly embarrass him or others.
The app is available now on the Android market for $1.99. Shoot me an email at eddie dot kim at google's email service along with your order receipt and I'll gladly refund the purchase for you.

Sounds like a great idea for version 2!
Can anyone recommend some good settings for the camera or a good app? I'm going to a concert at the end of the month and want to take some pictures. Thing is, it might be low light and no flash is allowed apparently. My digital camera is a piece and had never taken too many good pics so I'm going to use my thunderbolt. Would live for someone to share some ideas.

I've used camera 360 from the market since it was new. It's very nice and full featured plus allows you to remap vol buttons to take pics. Great effects also.

Okay, usually I don't take photos with my mobile, I'd rather choose a DSLR because of the better quality. Anyways, here is one I've taken. The phone was running MIUI v9 (as far as I know). I used the MIUI Camera App Port from the i9003 Themes and Apps section. 5MP, exposition -2. Not the best photo I have taken, but quite ok and the quality is ok for a mobile, but unfortunately I needed to compress it, before uploading.

Here is the Joy OS camera app for the Galaxy S4. All work fine except for the settings in Photo Mode. And there is no zoom in Video Mode. The Settings menu in Photo Mode causes a FC.

This has just a modified camera UI. It is based on CM 7.2.

He's obsessed with the cm7 camera for some reason. When the moto x or GPE and even regular s4 touch whiz camera options are better with much more support it doesn't really look like that camera takes really good photos in the pictures he posted.

If you haven't already, grab the new camera update. Grid was added. In fact, we got three variants, including golden ratio. Very nice Essential. I'm liking this device more every day.
Not sure if it's just me but the mono camera seems o be better too.

I came from a Galaxy S6 and I find the camera very acceptable. Portrait mode is a pretty cool feature as well! The only real thing I miss is the voice feature like saying shoot to take a picture.

I came from my wife's S6 as it was spare and my phone was a OnePlus One.
I'd say the camera is slightly better on the S6 still but it isn't far off.
I only found the S6 "say shoot" late into using my wife's phone. Total gimmick [emoji1]
