2. install Standard Skyraider uncommon addon (Required)
3. install SR35 Inc Rev

1.settings widget in notifications menu from green to red
2. android market from green to red
(these have a bunch of other stuff turned red)

Thank you! I've been waiting for this a long time! I've been using Virtuous 2.8 just to keep this dang theme. Nothing else looks as good, in my opionion!

lol ok you dont have to do it from a fresh rom.
if you have the stock uncommon addon pack you will have to install mine then the Sr33X theme if you want to keep some of the uncommon addons.
you can just install the theme but you will loose the uncommon addons.
i should have the SR33x uncommon addon pack up soon.
my SR33x uncommon addon pack is exactly the same as
the stock uncommon addon pack but it allows you to install
any rosie.apk without having any png errors.

so, I have 3.3.3, and have a nandroid back-up, I do not have the uncommon add-on pack or anything else. I can just install SR33x Rev V 1.1 from cwm, install zip file, and done. Then, if I want to go back to regular skyraider sense, I just do the nandroid backup, as you can't uninstall the theme, correct?

Any way I could talk you into mirroring this on something other than rapidshare? I've been trying for over an hour now, and it's just not happening. I keep getting errors like "Stop flooding our servers" (I'm not--I try only every 5-10 minutes), "Too many parallel downloads from your IP" (I'm not d/l'ing ANYTHING at the moment), or "You've reached your free d/l limit" (I haven't d/l'ed anything yet!).
I LOVE the screenshots of your theme, but I can't d/l it.

NM--I finally got the theme and the uncommon mod pack, and all I can say is WOW! I am absolutely LOVING this theme. Red and black is my thing, and this is gorgeous. The only request I have is for progress bars--they're still green. But that's just a small nit. Thank you so much for your hard work making this fantastic theme!

Now based directly off of DamageControl v2.05. This is NOT AOSP, however it includes elements of darch's AOSP.
Please note that I have only done minor modifications to this ROM. The real credit here belongs to damageless, gbhil, Avalaunchmods, bikcmp, darchstar, regaw_leinad, flipzmode, JsChiSurf, and the rest of the XDA members who may have some work in this ROM that I missed. v0.6:
1. I took apart DamagedCake, edited framework-res.apk for a little more AOSP-like flair in the notifications drop-down. This still could use a little work to get it perfect. (let me know if you can help me change the carrier text color!)
2. Replaced calendar, music, messaging, and browser with their AOSP counterparts. (bonus: facebook recognizes the phone as a Hero!)
3. Rosie was removed and replaced with the Launcher.apk from the DarchLegend ROM.
4. I added a bunch of ringtones pulled from various HTC and AOSP Hero ROMs.
5. Then I added my own bootscreen.
6. ROM uses flipz' PRI, and as far as I know, is showing protected market apps fine.
Getting down to business:
Everyone remember to make a Nandroid backup! And if you end up bricking your phone, that's not my fault. Flash at your own risk. (it works fine on my phone!) Also... just do a Dalvik wipe and Data/Factory reset. Save yourself the trouble of messing things up the first time. Also, please note that this does take a good while (~5min) to boot the first time, just like many of the other new 2.1 ROMS.

Issues and fixes:
1. There are reports of exchange not working. I can't confirm, deny, or debug this myself yet, because I don't have an exchange account anywhere. I'll have to meet up with my buddy that uses exchange at work to try and debug this later.
2. To set a wallpaper, long press on the desktop, or use the photos app. You cannot change these using the settings menu; it only works with sense.
3. Lock screen images are not supported yet. Flipz did an awesome job at fixing the AOSP lockscreen, but he hasn't yet found out how to make it work with images.
4. You might not find every app in the Market, but it's pretty close. No fix yet.
5. All other problems: Please wipe and reflash. Occasionally, a flash just doesn't come out right. (This even used to happen to me back when I was a Windows Mobile user) If you've wiped and reflashed, then post and ask for help!

Wipe everything before you flash. Data/Factory reset and Dalvik.
I used RA's latest 1.6.2 recovery to flash this, and it works fine on my 'with google' phone. Though that shouldn't make a difference.

No, it won't. Use Facebook Sync from the market, and then your google contacts will be updated with facebook photos. Then your contacts always have pictures, even if you flash a different rom

This is Made to work with Fresh Rom but will likely work with a few others. Please be sure and Nandroid before flashing this. If you don't like the HTC Lock Screen you can allways uninstall it with Titanium Backup and reboot your phone, and then you will have your Vanilla Android Lockscreen (You can also uninstall HTC Sense this way, be carefull what ever you do!). I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do, I worked really hard on this.

Do I have to be rooted to install this?? I only really want the bottom where the phone icon is, but I can't figure out how to do that can somebody help?
I found this theme searching and I love it! I really enjoy keeping sense stuff like the 7 windows, and the widgets but I actually like the look of vanilla android
One thing I did notice is when you are removing an icon from the desktop the 'remove' icon at the bottom is overlaid the phone icon.
Not too sure if that is fixable, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
Other than that good work on this theme! I'm enjoying it on my rooted/stock ROM

Yes you have to be rooted and nand unlocked. Pretty much any modifications you see on this forum must have that functionality
Tried the red theme with calk 1.1 and it works (i like it a lot)- except the new gmail (2.2.1 i think) FC's over and over.. I'm going to load my nandroid backup which has calk 1.1 and the older version of gmail, then will reinstall this theme to see if it is an incompatability with calk 1.1 or if it truly is the new gmail

I had the FC with gmail on my stock deox rooted ROM, I went to the application settings, cleared the cache and data. After that no more FCs (even after reboot!)

This is the first theme I ever installed. It worked great on the newest Fresh and it looks pretty sweet! I also had the Gmail force close thing going on but wiping the cache and data for it in the application manager cleared that up!

awesome love it, like i was saying in the other topic, if you could just get the icons moreup to date to the actual epic gtalk, market, maps etc.. i would love it so much more. im just reallly ocd on the look of my phone, and i just realllly do not like the current icons even for the cm6 theme, just something about them.
and I know sense is a mess compared to stock android, but what is the chance of getting things like the dialer?
and lastly ( i know lots of q. but I LOVE the epics look) any chance of getting some of the epics sounds, like when you click on something on the epic the clicking sound instead of the evos?

if your downloading directly from the evo
4shared for some reason has a problem with the evo
now you can still download it
just change to mobile version and download (might be the other way around and have to be desktop version)
and with that last piece of help i must sleep it's 12:30 AM yawn
if only we could get the best part of the touchwiz interface, the notification panel. this looks pretty nice though, be great for a senseless rom.
Got some boot looping (sense version). I wiped before flashing too. I did download to my computer then I transfered to SD card. Maybe its just my phone....

i am actually focusing on the sense version atm but download mrcharlesiv's from his post i am basing mine off of his with few changes
changes being a little further themed

and added a themed dialer and contacts (keeps original dialer also)
added media folder so has ringtones and notifications from epic (optional)
and i'm gonna set it up to remove some apk's like htc music, htc clock, htc lockscreen and mail as they are just duplicates and not needed to have multiple of them
will keep htc gallery as it links with camera
Great work on the theme. I love this when I was on cm6 and missed it when I switched to Fresh. I have a couple of questions though. How would I make the notifications bar clear, when you pull it down? Is ther anyway to get the the battery with the number read out like the cm6 rom?
Is there a way to load this without all the AOSP apps?
yeah the galaxy s notification bar would be amazing, but seems hard, i just would prefer an updated icon pack.

well i did put out an update just now
the app icons are not really changed from what they were (as they are the same as epic with some from the galaxy) and the galaxy s notification bar with the shortcuts is beyond my knowledge so i didn't do that
things changed
removed htc lockscreen (now vanilla lock)
removed htc clock
removed htc deskclock
removed htc Music
removed Mail (still have Email though)
removed htc contacts (People)
kept Htc Gallery as it links to camera
added epic4g themed dialer/contacts
added media as requested (from epic 4g system dump)
changed a few icons but almost all are the same
and i think thats all hope i didn't leave anything out
EDIT: looking into putting the Stock Android Browser in it +themed (i Can NOT stand the sense browser) -ACCOMPLISHED
EDIT2: apperently i can only get the contacts and dialer to show up if i flash something else first then flash this over it so i'm kinda stumped so i'm trying to get that fixed up

alright i have at least the theme and media out now for OTA but flashing apps causes boot-loop
and i have been on cyanogenmod recently so i did not follow sense Roms and was unaware that an OTA was released
i have several problems in the theme that i have separate fixes for but i am hoping to get it incorporated into the actual theme later on
and now that there is an ota i will focus on that rather then the older one but will at least fix it when i have time
and with this update on progress i'm gonna take a break for a while
Looking really nice. I was wondering, is it possible to just pull the App drawer from the Epic4G/Galaxy S to replace the one in Sense? I like the horizontal scrolling for apps, but would like to stick to Sense for everything else. What do ya think?

I am getting great results. I have setcpu installed with just screenoff profile set at 245/245 at 100% priority.
Netarchy universal 4.1.9.1 works great with this as well.

This looks nice, will flash when I get home. Has anyone noticed that on all the roms with that launcher, the phone button isn't level with the others? Just something I saw
Great looking rom! Congrats on your first build. I use alot of different apps for work and need quite a bit of memory. How much memory does this rom start with after you flash it?
My other prob from previous build w this rosie was that when u hold down an app to move over to a different screen the words on the bottom get mixed in w other words.. kinda weird lol, not huge for me cause it doesnt affect my phones ability to operate but it does look goofy haha.. I love the outline of the app folders and stuff.. wish that was w every rosie

I will flash it again when I get home and let you know. I have been running since yesterday and am sitting at 335mb internal. That is after I have installed some other personal stuff.
Update on battery....I have been unplugged for 11hrs and 13min and am sitting at 81%.
That is with Netarchy's Universal 4.1.9.1 and ScreenOff Profile set in SetCPU.
Please let me know battery results so I can determine what to cook in the next update.

BrieflyGeek is proud to release Frost ROM 4.0! Frost ROM is a HTC sense ROM built off of the newest 3.70 OTA. This is a sense rom custom themed with aosp elements and apps. This means HDMI, 4G and FM radio will be fully functional. No, this ROM does not include the sense launcher, or widgets, and never will. The goal of this project is to get us as close to stock android as possible while still being functional and staying on a sense framework. This ROM improves the functionality of your phone, while removing bloat and increasing speed. Known (these issues have been acknowledged)
-Mms will not send while wifi is enabled. Quickly disabling it through the power menu will send the mms.
-personalize in settings force closes. This is because you don't have rosie guys.
-using update script still. had trouble with updater script so until I fix it im sticking with the update. This means this will work on all amon recoveries and all clockwork recoveries except for 3.0 which uses only updater scripts.
-make sure to update your radios
-having constant sync issues? Visit post 2 for a fix

Constant sync fix
Some users have been reporting constant sync issues. This is because of removing friendstream and peep which HTC framework syncs to. To fix the issue, flash this, which will restore the apps. I've updated to a properly signed package, so it should flash fine for you.
To those of you with voicemail notification issues. There is also an app in the market (SPC - Super Private Conversation) which you can block numbers with. All you need to do is download the app, add 9016 to your block list, and bye bye voicemail notifications. This should not effect you receiving voicemails at all, since its simply blocking the number through which the sms notification comes. If you're bothered by this notification try it out.

A: Yes, all should be working.
Q: Apps are missing!!?
A: I have removed a lot of apps from the stock build. All can be found in the downloadable file called "removed apps"
Q: I still have the HTC in call screen, slide to answer
A: Correct, this rom is still a htc sense rom. These things are tricky to change as they are cooked into the actual base of the rom. For now, this is how its going to be.
Q: Will a alternate theme work on this rom?
A: Certainly, just remember I have made many edits to the framework which the theme has the potential to replace. Always nandroid. I have included some themes specifically compatible with the rom and will continue to support more.
Q: Help! I can't download apps from the market!?
A: This sometimes happens for one reason or another. If you have issues downloading from the market, open settings>applications>market and clear your market data. Then reboot. Should solve any market problems/slowness.
Q: Does this rom support a2sd?
A: Yes, since 2.1. It requires an ext partition on your sd card.
Q: Options in the "personalize" category in settings force close when trying to select them. (home wallpaper, scenes)
A: This is not a bug. This feature is alongside htcs launcher. These options WILL NOT work.

Once I'm able to get netarchys new kernel downloaded I'll try it out and let you guys know. The kernels are universal tho, so if you flash one, make sure to flash the no havs and it will keep frosts ramdisk intact.

No sir, as long as you wiped from 2+ to 3+ you should be good, as that is when the new build was released.
Oh, and I removed htc news from this one.. but if you flash over you will still have it. Not a big deal tho, if you like it, keep it. If not, titanium it.

Barn I just downloaded and installed and let me tell u this rom is by far the best rom I have ever flashed and right of the bat I can see the performance and bettery life I am a heavy internet user and usually within 15 min of surfing the net I see the battery drain and with this rom is hasn't even dropped a percent. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED and the multitouch keyboard is very a nice add.....

Second question. Is the MattedBlue theme available yet for 3.1? The description still says 2.0+, but I didn't think it worked for 3.0 builds, since you changed quite a bit of the underlying framework.

No, it probably won't. I was hoping the creator would port it by now but no dice. I'll try n get to that soon as I know some of you guys liked the themes.
Next release in line is AOSP, then matted. I just gotta study for a bit.. haha
Basically this is as close to CM6 as we're gonna get while still having full functionality, right?
