bluetooth remote for the phone? - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

hi guys.. this isn't fpecificaly for the SGS but i dont know where to post it.
Does anyone know if a remote for the android phone exists that works like this:
the remote should have buttons to control the music( play/resume, stop, next, volume etc...) and have call buttons( but not necesery).
I would use it in my car and when i listen to music and my phone is in my pocket
im not interested in a bluetooth headset
if anyone can tell me a remote like this, i would apreciate it

Why dont you use a A2DP Bluetooth clip ?? How are you going to connect your phone to the car audio system ? You cant simply connect through the auxiliary input and receive calls at the same time. There is a bug in Galaxy S preventing redirecting calls to over a standard 3.5mm cable. You need one with a built in mic. Thats why its better to use a BT clip type headset.
Or you can use something like this : Sony Ericsson LiveView™

Blue tooth head set - but not for phone?

Is it possible to use a bluetooth headset for ALL audion not just the phone? I already use Pocket Skype but I want to be able to use my bluetooth headset - since it doesn't consider the Skype to be a phone call - how can I make it use the headset for all sounds produced by the device?
All help and advice appreciated. All good advice and help appreciated more. All useful advice and help... ah, now we're talking!

think people have been able to get headsets working for normal audio using the broadcom or vidcomm bluetooth stack insted of the ms one
but it also seems that those bluetooth stacks dont support the headset profile so people cant use their headset for phoning anymore
Interesting catch 22 - phone bluetooth or other sounds bluetooth - but not all sounds bluetooth.
Isn't it silly things like this that make a great device irritating?!(Rhetorical)
yes it's silly
guess it comes down to ms not liking bluetooth which they dident invent themselfs so their stack is kinda thin
not sure what vidcomm and the rests's excuse is
i personaly bougth the bluetake iPhono headset which have a dongle which makes it possible for me to use my headset to work with both
phone and music

If what you say is correct, then there is a bit of a conundrum. The telephone operates via the bluetooth stack - so how does the gps receiver connect? There is apparently a way for the PC element of the device to use bluetooth, so why not audio?
I think using an external Btooth transmitter id a bit OTT. This is a software fix requirement.

Hi, I am thinking to buy the Bletake Bluetooth I-Phono BT420Ex + BT430EX with my Qtek 2020 / Xda II, And I want to know it will work properly... my ROM it´s 2.20CHS.
And if yours answer it´s positive, how?
You connet the audio dongle to the output of the pda and the headset with the pda by BT?
Thanks
yes as bluetooth headset it's supported
and the xda dont have to support the dongle
as far as the xda see it the dongle is just a wired headset
the dongle take care of everything wireless
heck if you want you can connect the dongle to something else
and still have it as bluetooth headset for the xda at the same time
when you get a call the headset disable the audio from the dongle and act as a normal bluetooth headset
Hi,
according to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=245461#245461 , I assume that you have this bt headphone and you have used it with satisfactory results...
Now, I still have a few doubts :
1) Do you connect the dongle to the pda and use it to listen music?
2) You use the bt manager of the pda as a handsfree?
3) Or do you use the dongle with the pda to both listen to music, and talk on the phone?
4) Or do you never use the dongle at all...?
5) Did you upgrade the bt manager of the pda? If this is true, where can I do it in the forum?
Thanks for all...
1 yes
2 yes
3 only needed when i listen to music
i just use bluetooth tools
and the org ms bluetooth stack
if one have a bluetooth stack which support a2dp
the dongle is not needed at all
Thanks!!
Many thanks for your patient and reply.

sound through a2dp headset only for calls?

Hi I have a new car stereo which pretends to be a a2dp headset, I use it for making hands free calls but my phone.
I also use my phone as my satnav and want to be able to hear directions but when connected to the stereo if i want to hear them i need to select bluetooth audio, but I also want to be able to listen to my radio/cd/mp3s.
Is there a way to tell my phone to use its speaker for all sound but the phone calls, in which case use the headset(stereo).
If i cant do this normally is there some software out that can do this?
If not is this possible to code myself I have some experience with wm development but nothing with regards to sound, I.e. can I listen for when a call is coming in and change sound modes?
Another option which will work just as well would be to enable both outpiuts at the same time is this possible?

w: app to make handset act as bluetooth headset

Does an app exist that will allow me to use my Android handset as a bluetooth headset for another phone? Use case: my hated work Blackberry in my pocket rings, and I'd like my Desire to mute what I'm listening to, alert me that the other phone is ringing and let me use the Desire to pick up the call.
Get a google voice and both phones will ring. You can seperate contacts to recive different voicemails just in case you don't answer in time that way nobody knows the difference. All your work emails will still goto the blackberry. The only difference is you can answer from both phones.
Actually I have a similar request. I have a motorbike and a navigation set on it. To this navigation set I can connect a bluetooth headset.
What I would like is using my HTC Desire as a bluetooth headset, since that is already in my pocket. Then I could just put the phone in my pocket, earpieces in and connect to the navigation system without the need of an additional bluetooth headset.
Any ideas? Is it even possible technically or does the phone need to have some special bluetooth profile for this to work?
+1 for an app like that. Would be awesome to connect my android device to my stereo and use my mac to stream audio to it!
I am very interested in this too as I would like to connect my phone to my pc and make phone act like a bluetooth headset so I can sit back and watch movies at night .

App to Use Bluetooth Phone to play music (or audio)

Hello,
I have a car which supports only Bluetooth Phone option and this is the case of a lot of bluetooth car devices.
So I'm perfectly able to receive and send phone call but I cannot send music to the car speakers through Bluetooth (this is really due to bluetooth car device and not phone itself).
I'm wondering if it might be possible to emulate phone dialog in order to let the car thought it is receiving a phone communication and so play it.
Phone Music --> Phone call emulation in Bluetooth (caller voice normally transmitted is replaced by music played) ....> Car bluetooth phone call reception --> Speakers
It should be probably needed too to emulate car bluetooth receiver as a bluetooth sound player (in order to cheat android phone) .
Thanks to share your opinion / ideas.
Olivier
Music is usually routed to Media channel on the phone. Maybe avoiding that could be the solution. Figure out a way to route the audio to the Ringer for example. That might work.

Want to connect BT headset + BT audio adapter + BT remote at the same time. Possible?

Hi!
the radio in my car doesn't have bluetooth (BT) so I need to use a BT audio adapter that I plug in the audio jack. THis would be the first device that I want to connect with my Honor 8. Because I don't want to switch tracks over the phone display, I would like to connect a bluetooth remote too that is attached to the steering wheel. FInally I would like to use a BT headset to make/answer calls while driving.
So there would be 3 BT devices that need to be connected to my phone at the same time...
Have any of you tried this? Should / can this work?
Thanks for your thoughts!
Greetz Ric
You can do that if you use 3 different protocol.
1. BT headset-phone audio
2.Bt aux-media audio(this give music audio and dedicated music control)
3. BT remote-have to be some kind of input type.
My setup for proof of concept using BT speaker, BT headset and BT remote(in pic)
I haven't had any luck connecting to my car's Bluetooth with emui 5.1 so I wish you the best of luck bud! I'm back to the aux cord life until something gets fixed. Please keep us posted on how things work out for you.
