Modified Flash still no Hulu. - Galaxy Tab Themes and Apps

Posted this in General but did not hear anything. I dont mean to spam. Just looking for a solution.
For those who have an android phone running froyo your probably aware that hulu had blocked their site from android users. Generally in the past there were methods around this which involved installing a modified flash.apk.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=688054
Okay so I went ahead and removed the previously installed flash apk (use root explorer to do it) then I use adb to install it. The next step involved using the debug mode in the browser to make our seem like it is a desktop. Well when I type about:debug in my browser and go into the settings there is no option to change it to desktop. I only see these options:
So my question is, how the heck do we get hulu working?! When I used skyfire to and switched it to the desktop view, it said I didn't have flash installed. Any ideas?
update:
okay so i found a thread on XDA that seemed to get me a lil further but not where i wanna be.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...794512&page=12
this thread suggest that you just install the latest flash.apk and just replace the lib file they give u with the one that comes preinstalled. doing that gets me an error on hulu:
"Unfortunately Hulu is not supported on your platform. We apologize for any inconvenience."
Before, I just got an error saying that they are gonna bring hulu plus to android but thats about it. yes i changed it to desktop and even tried it on skyfire. nothing.
anyone?

Bump! No one cares about hulu?

Ive gone through the same steps ( own a nexus one and had hulu running fine) ran into the same issues on the tab. Hulu is on it, they dont want mobile browsing on the site without paying. Channelsurfing.net and atdhe.net work on the tab just fine.

Thanks for the sites but unfortunately it doesn't have my anime. I'm following a new series and its only available through funamation which posts everything on hulu. Would really love to get this working.

Dolphin Browser HD now has Flash!

For those of you that pulled the trigger on the official sprint update and lost the flash capability of the custom roms, there is good news. I found Dolphin Browser HD in the market and it runs flash content better than any browser I have seen thus far for android. Check it out, I was pretty excited to see this.

hmm really? like real inbrowser flashh?
It displays my website that requires Flash 10 and the default browser with the official sprint 2.1 won't. I like the look of the UI too.
Sweet. I'm gonna check this out.
Are you sure about this? I've been using dolphin browser for a while and I've never got flash stuff to work

You know this has got to be an fluke of some kind. I can run flash content on my Dolphin Browser HD with no problems. I can't run flash in the default browser.
Last night I installed Dolphin Browser HD on my wife's phone and her phone says she needs to download a flash player to view content. I have tried over and over to get hers to work and nothing, but mine works. I have no idea why. Is there a way to do screen capture video on these devices so I can show you?

Yea, I couldn't get it to work. "Requires Flash 10"

Change your user agent to desktop.
it works when user agent is Android too, but a lot of pages default to mobile, so changing user agent helps with that.

Even Hulu loads (not the movies though, just says not available for your platform)...the user agent string for desktop can't be changed in Dolphin by chance, can it? Not that it would be much use on my Hero anyway, it seems pretty slow.
I tried both user agents on my wife's phone and it won't load flash, but mine will. I still can't figure out the difference.
Wouldn't work for me.

Aye works in DolhphinHD. For IMDB at least...Some other sites want me to open the flash content in another app...
why can't i play movies in You Tube with Dolphin HD?
flash plays on android 2.2 or above.
I've been wrestling with the Flash issue for months. I tried SkyFire and that doesn't work, tried Dolphin HD and that doesn't work, Youtube App doesn't work, Hulu App doesn't work. I'm pretty frustrated but I'll uninstall Dolphin HD and download the latest from the market just in case and try it again.
I managed to find a Flash 2.2 APK and it works about 15% of the time so it asks for an upgrade to the new Flash Player. It sucks we don't get native Flash on teh Hero as I use this now as m daily business phone.

Where's the Adobe Air?

Just wondering, as am unable to "find in the market ". Using CM6-BLACK MOD.
Or maybe someone has the apk?
(lol, 52 views (and counting) and no response? seriously? lmfao. c'mon ppl. )

I can verify that it doesnt show up on the 6.0.0 release (darch) or on jaybobs.
I've never used it though, so I haven't went looking for it too hard
How do u post an apk?

you are welcome for this kingdazy, i hope you are happy
I couldn't get it to install though

Worked for me. Adb push method. I suppose /system/app or /data/app will work. Good luck.

To add further:
Although the app installed correctly and will open, one of two things happens.
Either immediately gets killed due to what looks to be incompatible drivers. Or when the application does open to the opening splash none of the buttons function. Upon further research it would appear that this app will not work on our phone period, though I can't quote the source as I cant remember where I found it lol. If I find anything I'll let you know.
P.S. This looks pretty frickin cool.

Not gon' work
You won't find Adobe Air in the app market on your Hero, for the same reasons as Flash 10.1 doesn't work on Hero - they're both compiled for ARM7 processors, but the Hero only has an ARM6 processor. As such, you're not going to get the app market version of Adobe Air to even install on a Hero running any version of Android.
The apk version of Adobe Air that is linked above originally came from the Adobe Air pre-release pack, which was compiled for ARM6, so that one will install. It won't do you any good though. I've just tried running FlxTeroids and Gravity Lander from the app market, which both require Adobe Air, and neither of them launched after installation - they stopped after a black screen. So although you can install the version linked above, it's not going to do you any good, because all the apps which require Adobe Air actually require the latest, ARM7 version of Adobe Air, which you can't install on Android.
Please, do go and file a request for ARM6 compatibility though with Adobe. They might be swayed, but the result won't be so good as on an ARM7 device.

Well i have tried that when i scan it, it says it cant be found in market. When i go to m.oovoo.com it says i dont have an evo... but when i go to the evo part of it, it sends me to the market again and its not there.
Not sure what this oovoo is but i just did a search on market and its there.

Thanks you guys very much! =]
does this do video?
no workie
fresh evo:
can find oovoo on market.
can install.
can text chat/IM.
can voice chat.
can NOT video chat. (won't allow enable of front or rear camera.)
friends CM6 evo:
Vzw galaxy tab:
can NOT find on market.
(did not ask him to try installing posted apk.)
Vzw galaxy tab:
can NOT find on market.
can NOT install from apk.
I tried installing and it says it cannot be installed. Running cyanogenmod.
I have used oovoo desktop for years and it works great. I downloade the mobile version and I could get audio but no video when I logged into my account. The option to do a video call would not do anything.
Has anyone got this to work?
edit
read the fine print and it only works for audio now. Bummer.
I had the same issue with the .APK not installing on my evo as well!! I'm also running the Desire HD rom which could be a reason or maybe just because perhaps the evo isn't supported yet which is odd because the guy from oovoo on twitter said it was a month ago to me
um, so NO video on the EVO ?

[Q] Adobe Flash Replacement

Hi guys,
I had heard of it, but never really experienced it. The main feature I could annoy Apple fans with is now gone. Flash is not availaible for Android anymore.
I just switched to ICS and realised it's not avalaible to my chrome browser.
I searched the web to try to find something to replace it, but haven't anything yet.
I understand that HTML5 will eventually replace flash, but what about existing flash application? There's no way to run them anymore except switching to an older browser? There must be another workaround. what you guys use to run existing flash application?
Can't believe i'm at the same level then apple fans now
P.S. If there was already some threads about that, sorry to repost. This forum is so huge, can't see everything.
Chrome will NOT and ever support flash. However other browsers (dolphin or FireFox) still do and getting flash is as easy as downloading an apk and installing it

I confirm it, after installing the apk of flash there's no troubles, excpet for Chrome as it is not supporting flash. I personally use Firefox for example.

Flash player

Running 4.1.2 and have flash player 11.1 installed but when i try to watch a movie online it says "flash player not installed" is it just me or does it just not work anymore even being installed from an APK file?
I remembered reading somewhere that flash player doesn't work on some browsers. For example, it doesn't work with Chrome.
Flash is not supported on android starting with Jellybean.

I'm in agreement with bkoon. If you happen to be using chrome or another browser, have flash player installed and are receiving that message try the stock browser and you should be fine

It was actually not supported starting with ICS 4.0.hmm... was it 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 when they officially cut updates and made it no longer available?
But yes, it was still ICS when they said no longer available and the various browser apps stopped supporting it.
Positive note, if you're still holding on. Lightning browser will try to support it, is free, and tiny. Negative note, if you look at both sides of an issue. It warns you that Flash is not really stable and will probably crash.
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Updates continue for "approved devices" (basically those that originally shipped with Flash) for Android 4.0, but not present on Market/Play any more.
Definitely working in Boat Browser for me, though not reliably as a system app, for some reason.
Somebody showed me this browser that has flash support built in.
