Hi all, none of my friends have an Android phone so I need a few people to check if my published app is visible on the Android market, (no need to download it!), all I want to see is if it shows. I've tried to search for it but can't find it, yet it used to be visible so not sure if it's my phone or the market.
OK, the app is called 'CG Calc' but searching for 'calculator' and 'gravity' should pull a result too, please reply here if you see it or not and which phone/version Android you have.
It´s not in my Market.

I'm not a developer, but in response to number 4. The XDA app is actually built off another app named Tapatalk Pro. The folks at Tapatalk Pro made this app special for us XDA users.

Maybe reaching a bit if you want to create apps on your phone. Google has a tool called App Inventor that will help you create apps in a web browser on your computer:

What you are looking for is often called Rapid Application Development, or RAD. Searching for Android RAD doesn't help much, but it does show that there are other people looking for Android RAD.

Have you rooted your phone. If you have try market enabler from market and download the media remote yourself.

Hi all,
I just came across this thread and thought I'd share. I have downloaded it from the Android Market and it seems to work fine. Everything is straight forward and easy to use. I have also attached the apk in case you can not get it through the market.

I have been using this very good app for a while now ... usually I get it from the market.
I wanted the apk file so that I could do restores without having to set up a market account first ...
and ended up here.
I like XDA, but am very surprised that you have not had one single reply since Jan,

I was looking for this app because my Magic is pretty unstable and a lot of things don't work: calendar won't show events, Maps crashes, Market crashes etc.
I donwloaded this file, but it says 'please update to the newest version', but since my market crashes I can't do anything.
Gonna wipe it out without a backup then.
Thanks for the effort of putting it online though!

Hi guys, the reason I bought the gTablet was to get into basic Android app development, and seeing as how I'm good with flash I was ecstatic when I found out that you could make AIR apps run on Android. However, once I package my app, send it to my phone and install it via ADB, I go to launch it and it asks me to install AIR runtime for Android. I check "install" and it redirects me to the market where it says that it cannot be found.
I started a thread on the adobe mobile development forums and a staff member replied saying that it is still on the market, and he's not sure why it's not showing up on my device, because it's supported.
I've done the market hack around 8 times now to see if it makes any difference and I still can't find it. So my question is, can any of you find it? If you can, would any of you be willing to send me the .apk file? I can't seem to find it ANYWHERE.
You guys are awesome, keep it up.

Somewhat relatedly, has something gone wrong with the official XDA app? Its push notifications stpped working a few months ago for me, and when I try to set them up now it says it can't connect. Anybody else having this problem, or should I just reinstall the app?

Same here. Also everytime I open the app it asks if I want to receive push notifications. Doesn't matter what my settings are, it always asks when opening. And while we're at it, when is this app going to get a BADLY needed update?

Same for me. It got to the point where I just forgot push notifications came with this app lol.

Dammit... I guess it's a server-side issue then. For a long time, it was the only app I used the toast notifications for (I typically get several PMs every day now, and it was very handy to get a notification and preview of them without needing to check the website).
Oh well... anybody know who might be responsible for this, and could possible get it working again? Aside from lacking the notifications, the app is great.
