Easy experiment to get MediaHub updated working with our leaked froyo
Easiest way to get this working on your device if you use Titanium is to
1. Extract zip
2. Place all 3 files in the root folder of TitaniumBackup on sdcard
3. Search for 'hub' in the filter and restore
Attached fotos to show it working

Is there an option that doesn't require Titanium Backup?

Freaking awesome my friend. I have been looking for a solution to that problem. It was one of the only apps from the original ROM that I wanted back. Thanks!

IM sure you can push these adb to their respective locations. You can use root explorer to run a search and sniff out where they are hiding. I know most of us swear by titanium as use it regularly so I sought this method

That's awesome sir I originally didn't care to have it working but once I found out I got approved for 50$ credit in media hub. I was hard at work to fix it

May I turn this into a flashable zip, as well as include it as an option for my ROM?
Either way on the .zip, you can simply flash this via clockwork.

Hmmm. Didn't work for me. Media Hub starts and I get a "loading" message for awhile and then a Force Close. Maybe I'll try the flashable zip. Should this work on 2.1?

No it not remove anything, it's just the best application for music you never installed !
You flash it in the recovery or you copy the apk in /system/app/ with root explorer
Yeah I flashed it and it works fine. Just lazy to go into recovery mode that's all.

DROOOIIIIIDDDDDDD and other sounds

Got tired of not having my DROOOOIIIIDDDDD notification sound plus a few others. Decided to whip up a pack for all that are in the same boat.
------------with root----------
Download the .zip and flash like normal
This will add about 20 or so sounds to both notification and ringtone.
this pushes sounds to /system/media if for some reason your ever on a rom that pulls sounds from else where this obviously wont work.
----------without root ---------------
You can unzip this file. Look inside system folder & copy media folder to root of SD card. These will show up now when choosing ringtones & notifications.
------------fine print ----------------
And like always you assume all responsibility. (this has been tested.)
Think that dots all the t's and crosses my i's

If you would like another way to install just the ringtones you want here is what I did.
I opened the zip file with 7zip, I moved just the files I wanted out of the archive to . I put them in my dropbox and downloaded them onto my phone. I then moved them using astro file manager to my media file on my sd card. Putting them on my sd card also allows me to keep them even when I change roms.

[Q] How to install .apk files on your Android?

Well, users who are already using Android from a longer time, may not find this thread useful because they may already know the thing described in this thread. I'm posting this thread for new Android Users. New Android Users may not know how to install .apk files in their Android device on SD Card. Just follow the 3 simple steps given below and you'll be able to install any .apk file on your Android:
Step 1. Copy the .apk file to your SD Card.
Step 2. Get Astro File Manager from Android Market.
Step 3. Open the file in Astro File Manager.
Step 4. When the installation is finished, you'll find your app just like any other app in your device.
If you want video referrence, then you can see the video given below:

[APP][2.1+] App2zip [flashable app backup]

---------------------------------------------------
Atm App2zip does not work for all the devices, it's still experimental and not widely tested, so first of all, especially before backing-up something important, make some test to see whether it works for you (e.g. open App2zip and put in the flashable zip some apps you don't really care, uninstall them and then restore the zip via CWM recovery).
---------------------------------------------------
App2zip allows to backup applications directly to a zip file flashable via CUSTOM recovery, you can build your own update.zip on the fly, no need for PC.
ROOT REQUIRED!
Building your flashable zip is easy:
1) Choose the apps to be included in the zip file
2) Click GO! and wait until the zip is done. That's it!
Even system apps can be included in the zip file but make sure they don't have dependencies and they don't share data with other system apps (otherwise they won't be restored properly).
Restore via stock recovery is not supported yet.
Special thanks to:
michaelg117 (for the idea), Fnorder (signapk script), people in "flashable app backup" thread.
Google Play Link
Feel free to use this thread for any comment or report, if the app does not work for you please tell which device and ROM you're on. Thank you!
Sounds good

I'm planning to let the free version users to edit the zip file name along with new features for the pro version.
In the meanwhile i put in the play store an update (ver 1.02), more devices supported now, if App2zip didn't work for you give it a try.
I like the idea very much, but I have a questions (maybe a silly one).
Would it backup the apps and its data or only the app itself?
Sorry but I don't understand if it back up the data as well as on Titanium.
If it does I would be amazed since restoring them from the recovery should be way faster.

May i take a look at a zip file you make with App2zip? (PM me) please do not include paid apps!
Also, can you tell me which is the mount point of your internal storage?
In the modern devices with built-in emmc the internal storage card (emmc) is usually mounted as "/mnt/sdcard" while the removable storage as "/mnt/sdcard_ext" (or similar), if the emmc's mount point is different there could be some problem.
But, i'm just assuming, i'm still working on it.

Just updated App2zip to v1.03
- The name of the zip file can be easily changed even in free version.
- App2zip is now suitable for more devices, at least, it should be! any feedback is appreciated, this is the kind of work you can't test on the emulator
Just tested with 2 apps and flashed the zip and it worked, it stores apps back with data. Nice work

Atm i'm working to make the app more reliable and suitable for as many devices as possible. Later i will start to add new features, pro version will have definitely more.

[MOD] Windy Weather Live Wallpaper w/ No Watermark

I liked the Windy Weather live wallpaper that came with the GSIII, but I didn't like the ever so noticeable watermark that is on it. I've also seen requests for versions without the watermark so, I took it out back and beat it senseless until it was gone. See the screenshots below for a preview. (I will add more screenshots later)
READ BEFORE INSTALLING
- I recommend making a back-up of the original WeatherWall.apk at /system/app BEFORE installing this.
- This only removes the AccuWeather watermark. The name of your current city will still be visible.
- This live wallpaper was pulled from a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III. Although it should, I have not tested if this will work on other versions of the Galaxy S III. I don't think it will work on other phones (because of screen size issues), but it may!
- You must have root in order to install this.
- Install at YOUR OWN risk. While highly unlikely, I take no responsibility if this damages your phone in any way.
Installation:
Manually:
1. Download the WeatherWall.apk provided and put it on your SD card
2. Open up your favorite file manager application on your phone that has system read and write capability. I prefer Root Explorer
3. Navigate to wherever you placed the downloaded .apk and move it to "system/app" overwriting the unmodified "WeatherWall.apk"
4. Restart your phone and enjoy!
NEW! Flashable: (Easier!)
1. Download the WindyWeather-NoWM.zip provided and put it on your SD card
2. Re/boot to recovery and flash the .zip file
3. Restart your phone and enjoy!
:good:
nice!

Hmmm... Also make sure when you're overwriting the old one that it sticks. You can do this by looking at the date last modified in your file manager. If it says anything but the current date and time then it did not overwrite it. If that's the case make sure your file manager has SU and root privileges and it is mounted in read and write mode. Once I get a flash working this should be much easier, but it does nothing but fail in TWRP when I try to flash the one I have put together.
ok thanks for working on it....but see thats the prob...there wasn't one there originally. maybe the rom i am on had it removed...but either way it should show up after moving it to that folder under live wallpapers right?
The key is to make sure that WeatherWall.apk is your /system/app directory. Normally you should be overwriting an old .apk. Like you said though maybe you're rom doesn't use it so may not work. As far as I know it 100% works with Touchwiz on ICS. Someone said it did work with an AOSP based rom, but I'm not sure if this was ICS or JB.

I am a lil apprehensive having to ask someone this bc it is a lil embarrassing but I went to system/app and was going to backup the windy weather app but it isn't in there....?? Help? Thank u

This is sick. It worked flawlessly on my Tmobile S3.
