Any apk's out there that will let you modify the status bar? I'd love the option to change the color, maybe black or blue or disable it all together!
I have a HeroC running DarchDroidv2.8 ROM with launcherpro v8.1.
I definitely want to keep this ROM so looking for something that will work on top of DD. Thanks!
search for the online theme kitchen. Just make sure you select the right ROM, and upload your framework-res.apk.
orrr.... just start using CM like everyone else. and do it from the settings!

Very true, the notification kitchen only works with 2.2 roms anyways I do believe
You can hide the notification bar in LauncherPro. Preferences > Appearance > Hide notification bar

the biggest thing i want to know with home++ is does it allow me to keep my live wallpapers?
If you want to change your status bar and not have to install any alternatives, then you will need to edit framework-res.apk.
For all the status bar icons, look for framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/stat_xxxx.png and framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/status_xxx.9.png.
All of the .9.png's will need to have guidelines added to them after editing them, and they will need to be compiled in eclipse.

It all depends on which images your are editing. I think that most of the status bar images should be fine as long as you keep them simple since android will just be stretching that image. Like a solid color or a simple vertical gradient should work. You have to worry more about editing/compiling them once you start to mess with buttons and widgets layouts.
How do you change the color of the text in the status bar (eg. the time) ?
i too would like to know this
So I suppose there's no simple way
to double the status bar size then?
(+ all icons size equally doubled)
Grateful for all input...

I have a rooted Motorola Triumph running CM7
I dislike the default notification bar. I'd like one that looks a little more like a actual bar, not just a black square.
Do I need to make one myself, and if so, how is that done, or can I flash other notification bar mods designed for other phones?
I have no desire for a complete mod, all I want to change is the notification bar.
Hey man go to this page here and there you can mod anything you want from your phone like status bar battery icon and more
you just have to upload the required files and youre good to go!

Simple question:
How do I get the notification bar transparent?
I have installed cm11 4.4.2 and i dont found a setting to get the bar transparent....
I installed some launcher but no one showed me a transparent notification bar.
Is there a solution or is the bar at the nexus s always black?

You have to first change "ro.config.low_ram=true" to "ro.config.low_ram=false" in build.prop.
Then you can try change to Transparent Notification Bar on your launcher (if it's supported, like in Nova). I haven't gotten this to work my self, but I'm on SlimKat, so it's possible that it works with cm11.
or you can install xposed framework:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
and then install "Enable Translucent Decor" module:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ugglynoodle.enabletranslucentdecor
This works great for me, with SlimKat anyways.
I think with CM11 if you change lowram to false and reboot it should automatically give you transparent status bar.

Status bar. You should be able to get transparent notification bar without changing the puild.prop.
Hi,
I am rooted and want to know if theres a way of removing the clock from status bar?
Xposed . Gravity box
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
anyway to do it without installing xposed?
Try substratum . Like klock or k lock. Not sure if that will work
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Substratum and use Ozone on clock u can center it, it will be under the notch and u won't see it, that may work
Easy way to remove clock / time from status bar

Install system ui tuner from play store, grant root (you can do it without root via ADB). In status bar options scroll down and disable "clock icon".
can you move the clock to the usual right side too with these mods?

If you guys have Magisk - then try Renovate.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/development/renovate-ice-stables-nightlies-svn-t3801364
Can hide or move clock.
OP6 running pie has an option to hide the clock in the status bar. I would like to hide status bar clock on the home page but visible in the status bar while using other applications to keep track of time. I use the widget on the homepage with time feature, seeing the clock on the status bar is little redundant.... I know it's a petty question but it would help if someone could offer any solution. I am rooted, Magisk, Elemental kernel, running stock 9.0.2.Thank you.

i havent been rooted in a while, but if youre rooted, i remembered nova launcher has a setting to hide status bar clock so you can use widget clock. status bar clock is only hidden when youre on homescreen. status bar clock will reappear when an app is open.

Settings > Display > Status Bar > Time > Dont Show This Icon
(assuming you are on Oxygen)
Nova launcher can't hide clock from oreo... Oos has an option to hide clock, simply look in status bar settings
No root needed.
On the ADB shell type:
settings put secure icon_blacklist clock
Boom. Done.

Tasker is your friend! The following profile hides the clock in the status bar in Nova Launcher, but shows the clock when not in Nova Launcher. Additionaly, it always hides a bunch of other icons that I never want to be shown. Edit to your liking!
Profile: Clockless apps (9)
Application: Nova Launcher
Enter: Without clock (16)
A1: Status Bar Icons [ Icons To Hide:alarm_clock,bluetooth,nfc,volte,vowifi, networkspeed,clock ]
Exit: With clock (19)

SystemUI tuner won't work to hide the status bar. does anyone know any method to hide the status bar via a magisk module or anything else?
You can auto-hide the navigation icons from within Settings, but I think you would need the Global theme app rather that the limited CN theme app to make most changes to the status bar. If you do experiment with the Global themes app, change your region to India because Xiaomi restricts most Themes functions by region and India enjoys the most extensive theme options.

you can only hide the nav bar in the stock launcher from my experience. I found a magisk module that hides the nav bar though. I want the status bar to be gone in every app, hidden away only available to be pulled down only if you need to see it. i've found many threads all over without a way to do it in the newer android versions thus far

I think I can create magisk module to change status bar size to 0px (= hide completely), but then you can't pull down it since the size is 0 and there's no area to touch.

that sounds awesome to me. if the size is 0 - couldn't we still use a custom gesture to pull it down even if we can't see it at all? that would be amazing as I use custom gestures like this already.

thanks so much, this is awesome. right now it just hides where the status bar was so that it leaves a blank space where the bar was. is there any way for the full screen to fill up this space? either way I am using this and thank you for trying.
also, have you had any luck getting ok google to work with the screen off?
just sent you a donation as well, thanks so much
Edit this is perfect when unfolded it takes up the full screen all the time
