[Q] Sony Ericsson Aspen WWE ROM needed!

Hi, I have a German ROM on my SE Aspen and I want to change this ROM with English. Is it possible or not?

Yes, it is!
But you need to re-install firmware using Sony Updater. After that, you will be prompted to select the language on the first boot.
You cannot repeat this without reflashing.

whatever is compatible with win mo platform on 6.5.3 will work just lookout for the resolution there are plenty of apps out there

use SEUS, any other method on the aspen has not proven to work
the latest 6.5.3 version for aspen is already deployed on most devices or can be downloaded from the update service itself
if you find a vanilla rom let me know

I have the chinese rom installed, if anyone wants it I can dump it (but dunno how) so I need some instructions.......it's the stock rom btw, it was on it when the phone was purchased in China.
Anyway, i'm surprised that there aren't any custom roms for this phone, why is that??

I have searched in the forum but i didn´t find anything. Bruno talk about make a custom CWM for it in his V987 thread but there is no.

Sorry suoko for quote you other time. I´m new in this forum and cant post in your V967S thread. To install the new firmware that solve the touchscreen problem, what is the method? Must I install new CWM or can I install it with the stock CWM simply with "install zip from sdcard"? Stock CWM support backup?

I used the default recovery to install the new ZTE build. By "default recovery" I mean the recovery that etotalk put on it. I have no idea if it's the original one or a modded one. Since the phone is chinese the original recovery could have been in chinese language like the cwm one.
I'll try using the http://builder.clockworkmod.com now.
It might accept the chinese cwm one and spit out an english one
The recovery from etotalk can be installed via "etotalk tools".
If you need both of them just ask.

U need UncleTools then update recovery with .img file (it other threqd someone posted it)
This way u got chineese CWM but is easy to find update rom from SD
If u need LeWA rom 4.2.1 tell me

No, I'm not going to test experimental roms with this phone cause I'm not going to risk hw failures this time.
The only thing I'd do is remap partitions to have one single internal one but I can happily live with current partitioning.
I'll wait for an official update from zte this time, they look pretty active, like zopmobile devs.
Regarding the english cwm, no, I don't have one.

Hello,
I made a mistake using SP flash tool and changed boot.img ... now I can boot only into recovery ... any update I tried from recovery CWM6.0.1.2 seems to install but ends in a boot logo screen and so remains for long long time
I think I need the original boot.img ... can anyone help me?

[Q] Brick Alcatel one touch scribe HD - 8008d (Please Help)

My phone is an Alcatel OT-scribe HD -8008d and I messed it up in SPFlash tools ... now I am unable to find a stock version for that. I installed another MT 6589 firmware (from lenovo) and now the screen is turning on, but the phone is not functioning and I don't know what should I do :crying:
1 - please if you can help me , tell me what to do or how can i find a stock firmware with preloader and custpack and etc...
2 - can i use another MT6589 firmware that supports my phone? or should it be only from Alcatel?

The TCL-Y900 is the same phone. You can try their upgrade software if One-Touch does not work.

would be interested in a backup of stock firmware (made with spflashtool) ?
note: i read somwhere that restoring preloader, even of its own firmware, is not recommended, high risk of hard brick.

Don't have too much hope...apparently this stock firmware doesn't exist any where

plausible solution
Hello guys, there is a possible solution to our current problem. we would need the pro_info and scatter file that contains the pro_info for our phones. otherwise, we wouldn't be able to flash it via OTU. problem is, this is not a common phone. many people are using other brands and I am not able to find anything for 8008x or 8008d. we may need to just send it to the manufacturer for software redownload.

Your has a MediaTek processor so there are unlikely to be many (if any) custom ROMs and because MediaTek and very open it would be difficult to port a ROM to your device. Sorry :crying:
